  1. Hey have you been experiencing any flashing of the switch or any statuses using your profile with the latest F14 updates? Some switches flash the state text on the streamdeck and I'm unsure why.
  2. Good afternoon Competitors! Thank you to everyone who has taken place in a WHOPPING 270 SCRIMS and 32 Stage-1 Matches!!! UN-Freaking-Believeable! We would like to clarify some rules/procedures that have been adjusted or needing clarification. 1. The state of the tournament can change at any moment. DCS being as fluid as it is with patches or exploits means we may need to make rulings on new topics not previously noted. When the discord notification goes out to Squad Leads role/channel, thats considered the OFFICIAL notification. If you as a squad leader have the discord muted for any reason, then its entirely your job to make sure you are up to date on any changes. 2. Players have not been coming to a complete stop before the server shuts down after a half. You only have 90 seconds to come to a complete stop after the LAST player lands to register your survivor point. The server will not wait to shut down, nor do teams have the authority to delay starting the next round by waiting to shut down. Once the 90 second time runs out, the next half/match end will commence and that's it. 3. Please reference the attached picture. Teams may freely reschedule their matches any time except the last two days of the stage. But you do have to fly on the published date if neither teams can agree on an earlier date! As previously mentioned we strongly encourage teams to reschedule and fly their matches as early as possible in each stage. But if you cannot agree, then the published date is when you WILL fly! 4. Rescheduled matches must be posted in the "Match Booking" channel in Discord. Published matches need not be published as they are already reserved. 5. Due to a recent bug. F-18 Memory mode will be limited to 8 SECONDS OR LESS. As a reminder all players are required to keep hold of their personal tracks for 7 days after each match. Failure to provide your tracks in the event of an investigation brought to the staff team will result in assumption of guilt. - "If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear" Thank you for taking the time to catch up on the updates. As another reminder our discord is the primary means of communication through the League and please take the time to see if there's any pinned posts that can answer your questions, especially for Squad Leads. While the forum post has a lot of information, Discord will remain the primary means of communication via tags and pinned posts to squad leads. We have video tutorials and lots of information available to all squad leads. Thank you all and good luck! Its been one HELLUVA stage 1 so far, looking forward streaming SOON:tm:!!! ***DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD***
  3. Thank you to all the teams that have made SATAL this season! Stage 1 has officially kicked off! Friendly reminder, any teams who are interested in Shadow League can join at any time up until stage 4!
  4. DCS World Events would like to present the Official SATAL23 Survivor Series Trailer! Credit to ALPHA-WHISKEY for this amazing high energy masterpiece!
  5. I found it broke some profiles using these text patterns to "cover up" parts of the image giving the illusion it has more than 1 image state like Baileys Jammer F16 profile. Pretty awesome work he did, but this broke immediately upon updating to 6.0. I don't have a screenshot from the 6.0 broken part but all the positions were way off thus nulling the profile. When I updated, the font sizing and text changed no longer working properly. I will remain on 5.33 for as long as I can. Recommend anyone who uses stuff like this stays on 5.33 to avoid headaches.null null null
  6. Best to avoid it till you absolutely have to. I managed to just reset it by clearing the %appdata% folders out and the uninstall/reinstall 5.33 and works great again. My topic from a few days ago still stands but at least the profiles work.
  7. Also to add, dont update your streamdeck software to version 6.0.x.xxx..... All the text image states got messed with with Baileys profiles and everything else. Unless you want to go through and manually change the font or text spacing to every button..... Mine got thrown off and some font changed, etc etc. @Bailey - heads up if you havent already updated your software. I would wait.
  8. Unfortunately I even did a total reset of Streamdeck and also deleted the %appdata% folder so its brand new basically. Downloaded a single DCS aircraft profile off the forums. Same thing happens. Some servers it works some it doesnt while others stream decks are functional. Only if Player exports are disabled on the server, others with this option "yes" are fine. Im at a loss. null
  9. Ive been losing my mind that I cant use the Streamdeck Plugin on certain servers with Pure Scripts. @Bailey - Do you see anything here that would point towards a problem? Literally everything is tied. Directory pointing to the root install folder, Listerner port and Send port in the "comms" menu match the Config.lua ports, Export.lua in Saved games Scripts has the dofile........ Some servers I join and single player it works fine, join other servers with pure scripts and it stops working but I've copied the entire scripts folder from other people who's streamdeck plugin WORKS in the servers mine DOESNT. Im at a loss. Even did a full long repair of DCS. AND I copied the same exportmodules.lua from the friends whos are working just fine as well. I just get the "module not detected as soon as I join the server. Anyone else got ideas? null
  10. SATAL23 Team Leaders Review. Custom Cockpit Liveries, Mods, Canopy textures forbidden. Ejecting your canopy on purpose is also forbidden. Only Tacview, SRS and external liveries are allowed. DCSWE Servers will be monitoring and enforcing these restrictions. Changes and Amendments: - Servers will not be Public, all players will need to connect via IP - Information on how to do this is available to Squadron leaders Discord channel. - Pure Scripts will be enabled - Use of smoke and smoke pods is forbidden - All teams are required to fly 1 scrim before Mid January 2023 or be automatically relegated to Shadow league - Players must keep their personal track files for at least 7 days after each match - Ping Limit 300 Clarification of Player Rules: - No player may fly in both League and Shadow League - Once a player has taken off in an official match, he/she/it is locked to that team until the end of S23 4v4 Elimination Finals. - You can add players to your team throughout the season, but remember they will be locked to your team and must not have flown in any S23 match for a different team. - Allowing a banned player to even attempt to connect to a DCSWE server during a match is a Team banning offence. Team Logos and Skins: - All teams who wish to have their skins on streams are to supply their team logo before 15 January 2023 - Skins can be uploaded via the discord skin-uploads channel. Follow the instructions to create a private thread. This was your skins are visible to admins ONLY. The recommended method is to upload a google drive link to the thread where the streamer can download. Instructions are in that channel. Failure to follow instructions will result in being ignored - Uploading your skin does not guarantee your match to be streamed. Tacviews: - Team leads will receive a link where the tacviews for their matches are synced. Cheating: We are actively looking for cheaters and have several systems in place to try ensure a fair competition. Cheating is not tolerated, and any player found to be cheating by any means will result in the entire Team being banned from DCSWE. Whistle blowers may be exempt and protected to the best of our ability. Players connecting to DCSWE servers through a VPN are monitored Teams may NOT publicly accuse another team of cheating. On suspicion of cheating, the Team Lead must open a ticket providing the timestamps and ALL associated evidence within 48 hours of the match being played. DCSWE Admins will investigate, their decision will be FINAL. Exploits: Known and unknown exploits used by players in matches will be investigated and consequences may include deducting Survival Points and or Match Points, Warnings issued, Temporary Bans and even PermaBans depending on the severity. A selected panel of experienced Team Leads and Players will vote on a suggested punishment, however Admins will make the final decision. Re-Matches: Certain events may require a rematch. Unexpected scripting or server errors are the main reasons but not limited. Report an issue as soon as possible by opening a ticket in the discord. If the match can be completed, it must be. We will try to resolve these issues, should they arise, as quickly as possible. We strongly recommend scheduling and finishing your matches as early as possible in each stage. This will reduce the amount of pressure you will have to squeeze in matches at the last second and allows more down time between stages. This is a merely suggestion that would benefit you and your team. Thank you for your continued support for SATAL and what we do to make the PvP competitive community bigger, better, and stronger. We have some ground breaking features, built from scratch, that will be in place this season and looking forward to giving you all the best Competitive PvP experience DCS has to offer! Please have your Squad Lead contact us in Discord if you have any concerns. https://discord.gg/93jbmNaeaq ***DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD***
  11. Has this profile gotten really slow for anyone over the last few major F14 patches?
  12. Can anyone here please check to see if the latest patch has some errors regarding StreamDeck? Join a server and jump into a slot - it works fine. Reslot into another aircraft or the same one and the SD commands no longer work. But theres commands being read from the plugin on the comms page. So SD is receiving the states from the game but somethings happening. Only way to fix is leave and join back in the server OR restart mission. Just noticed this patch, really weird.
  13. Debating between this and CGTC, anyone used both and have any input?
  14. SATAL23 Survivor Series "War does not determine who is right -- only who is left..." From the team that brought you SATAL 2019, 2020, 2021, Dogfight 1v1, Folds of Honor, and Oddball... We are PROUD to announce the SATAL23 SURVIVOR SERIES. The Survivor Series is a new LEAGUE to better define what SATAL is, a LEAGUE. Teams will not be judged based on solely wins and losses, but also how many members of your team return home safely and SURVIVE. After all, a win means nothing if nobody returns home alive.... The objective of each match is to eliminate all enemy players in the zone, or own the zone for certain time limit. And return back home to base with as many survivors as possible. Some new features include many improvements from the previous SATAL21 season. BRAND new redesigned from the ground up SATAL mission scripts. Including the DCSWE SHRINKING ZONE Servers are available 24/7. Teams can schedule their matches at ANY TIME during each stage. You can fly all in one day, or over 4 weeks. This ensures all teams have ample time to fly their matches. Teams will fly against different teams in each stage, NEVER the same team twice. The old "best of 3" format is being replaced by a new League friendly system to better accommodate teams. A match is made of two halves. Points are earned by each player having entered the combat zone and returning home to land after the zone has been captured. A match win is 3 points Every pilot who returns to land counts as 1 survivor point. (Multi-crew aircraft with 2 PLAYERS count as 2 survivor points) A draw is 1 match point per team and survivor points (if any). A loss is ZERO match points but survivor points are still given (if any). Teams global rankings and scoring are all AUTOMATICALLY populated and available at the beginning and end of each match. And updated real-time in Discord. Matches should now never last longer than an hour with our new system. Players can now change aircraft in between halves. This is new to SATAL. Teams are competing for a top 16 RANKING to qualify for the elimination championships at the end of the league. The league will consist of 4 stages. Each stage being 1 month long. Each stage will run on the same DCS patch. Every stage will consist of a different theme. AWACS will not be available in all stages. Stage 1 = FLAT maps + AWACS Stage 2 = SARH rules + AWACS (Fox 1's and Fox 2's only) Stage 3 = NIGHT + AWACS Stage 4 = Mountains - NO AWACS Championship Elimination + NO AWACS Teams will fly a total of 12 matches over 4 stages. (3 per stage required). Teams with lots of members have the benefit of entering multiple teams within their organization. For example: If TeamABC has 13 members, since this is a 4v4 League; they have enough people to enter up to 3 teams with 1 reserve! TeamABC 1 - TeamABC 2 - TeamABC 3 (You can name them however you like as long as their unique) The catch is that you can NOT share members between the teams! Once a member flies a match on team 1, 2, or 3 they must remain with that team! This will be STRICTLY enforced! We are excited for this option because it allows larger teams to give all of their members an opportunity to fly in this 4v4 League! Due to the number of improvements, new features, and new league style/rules; one more big change this year is that 4v4 and 6v6 will NOT run concurrently. Instead we will begin with 4v4, and the 6v6 will begin straight after the championships end for 4v4. Signups for 6v6 will begin around May/June2023 RULES: WEAPON RESTRICTIONS (ALL Stages except SARH Stage 2): AIM-120C | SD-10 | AIM-54C | AIM-9X - BANNED TOTAL 8 AIR TO AIR MISSILES. MAX 6-Fox 3's on any aircraft. *Except F14 with Jester listed below. All Air-to-Ground weapons (Including TALDS and Decoys) - BANNED Jamming | Jammer Pods - BANNED Jester is ALLOWED While using a Human RIO you are allowed x6 AIM-54's While using Jester AI, you are only allowed x4 AIM-54's WEAPON RESTRICTIONS (SARH Stage 2 ONLY): FOX-3's - BANNED R-27ET | R-27ER | AIM-9X - BANNED Max x6 R27-R/T Max x4 R-73 Jammer Pods | Jamming | Air to Ground Weapons | TALDS | Decoys - BANNED ADDITIONAL RULES (Applicable to ALL STAGES): This is a 4 PLAYER vs. 4 PLAYER PvP Competition. Human RIO's and WSO's count as a slot in your 4v4 match. For example one F-14 Pilot + 1 human RIO is 2 player slots! Each Stage will be run on the SAME version of OpenBeta. (With the exception of hotfixes) Teams can schedule their matches at ANY time during each stage. Trial accounts - Disabled Sharing of ED accounts - Not Allowed - Every member must own their own aircraft and theater's. Monitor exports to your main screen are prohibited! AOA barrell rolls, all exploits are all prohibited. Should you choose to push the boundaries of an exploit, you will be dealt with accordingly by either reduction of points or removal from the league and possibly even banned from future events. Disrespect of any kind to all staff members, poor sportsmanship and behavior or malice or other team members WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Please take this warning as your ONLY warning... Shadow League: We are going to run a shadow league, at the same time as the Survivor Series League. The shadow league is identical to the normal league except that new teams and signups can join at the start of any stage, even after signups close. Those teams will have their own rankings and points separate from the main League. Those teams may fly up to 3 matches per stage, their results recorded separately. For teams that are new to this world and not quite confident in the ability to commit to the schedule of the main League, and want to gain experience in the competitive world. You are welcome to directly join the shadow league. (Beginner friendly as well) The main league must consist of a total team count in multiples of 4. Example - 32, 36, 40, etc. Because of this, any teams that fall outside of that number will be put into the shadow league unless we get more teams to equal a multiple of 4. TOP performing teams from the shadow League MAY be pulled into the main league should the need arise to fill slots. Thank you for taking the time to read our rules and how this competition works. SATAL is a long standing PvP competition with some of the top players and teams in the entire DCS community. We want players of all experience levels to have a chance to fly the BIGGEST competition in DCS World. However, that being said, please do not be discouraged if/when your team may lose a match. Many teams here have years of experience and we all started somewhere. We encourage you to continue flying in the main League or the shadow league, and do not be discouraged when those hard battles end up in a loss. We've all been there... For all the new teams out there reading this: Winning isn't everything. But remember were all here to have fun and do your best and enjoy some of the most extreme air to air battles DCS has to offer! SATAL23 Survivor Series is cleared for departure in JANUARY 2023 For more information to sign-up, please join our discord: https://discord.gg/fq8G8D5DXj **DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD**
  15. Ayee!!! Thats fantastic! Thank you sir! o7
  16. Whats the dimensions of the bezel? Im looking into 8 inch raspberry-pi screens but I dont know how thick the bezels are to subtract for screen real estate. For example the Cougars are 141.2mm wide but the inside screen space is only 108mm with the bezel. Can you please include something like this? This is the TM Cougar MFD's as an example. For something at this cost, it would be extremely helpful to those who are planning flush fit screen builds. Thanks.
  17. That's what the Stream Deck XL is for
  18. I cant be the first one whos run into the problem but maybe. While trying to set zoom in and zoom out default keyboard bindings in DCS are Numpad "/ and *" The * works just fine for zoom IN, however the / key does not with Stream Deck, really surprising. Using both BarRaider and the default Hotkey button in Stream Deck, the / key will not work. The Zoom IN however * key works fine while using hotkey OR BarRaider. Windows does allow the input no problem and you can type the actual key all day long using the button, but it doesnt go through to DCS or its not recognized. Any ideas? My next step is to pick Elgato's brain and see if they use a different language of some sort for Numpad keys that DCS may not recognize. Who knows.
  19. I feel like we should get a main link somewhere organized for all of our profiles we put out so its easier to find the most up to date profiles. Instead of going back through all the pages. Any suggestions?
  20. Would anyone kindly tell me where the library of images Helios stores things like the F16 bezel? I'd like to edit the image to only show the green lines and remove the black bezel entirely. Any help would be great. The three "..." lead to Capt Zeen's image library but they dont have this exact RWR. This is the directory the image is supposedly coming from but I cant find it pn my PC: {Helios}/Interfaces/Falcon/RWR/rwr_bezel.png Thanks everyone
  21. Do you mind sharing the image library you used for the icons? The Gun rate is set to a rotary know when it needs to be a button but I cant change it without losing the icon images. Thank you!
  22. Im SOOOO ready for this to drop Just need to get another MFD monitor on top of the 2 I already have built xD
  23. T M Cougars are MSRP $90+ but sure I get it. This just leads back to my profit margin discussion. You're more than welcome to make your own. You seem to understand that button boxes are simple but I'm willing to bet you don't want to take the same time these guys did to design your own from scratch. This is what I'm talking about, the average consumer will not know/want to build something from scratch. If you can deliver a built product you'll sell more. And you have the freedom to charge what you see fit based on the work investment and time spent on design and manufacturing. you can look at this as a consumer but I'm looking at this as a business. Not to mention they're not a mass producing company like TM that can push a thousand units a week off the line My suggestion is that if it's out of your price range, build your own and share it when it's finished and how long it took. And we can compare
