  1. I think I have other problems because DCS did not rebuild the saved games even after I mapped some HOTAS commands. I think the best thing I can do right now is to rebuild this computer and if DCS-MT is still giving me problem...repost.
  2. It's not a DCS piece of software. I think it is part of Skate Zilla's updater and launch app.
  3. I essentially did that when I recreated the "Saved Games" folder, just an empty one. DCS repair created the "DCS Updater Utility" folder and populated it, that confirms that DCS was able to write to the "Saved Games" folder but it didn't recreate the DCS.openbeta folder and populate it. Even without it though, DCS-MT started and open to the hanger screen and I was still looking at the doors instead of the menu.
  4. I removed the "Saved Games" folder to my desktop, ran a repair, and started DCS. I was still looking at the hanger doors. The repair replaced the folder "DCS Updater utility" but nothing else. Starting DCS and flying around did not cause any of the saved game folder to be regenerated. I don't think anything in the saved games folder is causing the problem and I don't understand why none of the folders were not regenerated.
  5. I did as you suggested, I just got rid of anything in the mod folder. Ran the slow repair. Three tries and was still looking at the doors instead of the menu. I've attached the newest log file. Check it and didnt see anything referencing the saved games folder. dcs.log
  6. Done this morning, 4/23. All mods were removed. XRNS was not started. OpenComposite was uninstalled. I am assuming that DCS is now running on it's own native OpenXR software. Repair was run. Update was run and todays update installed. No setting in DCS were changed. All other software was checked for updates and installed if there was one. dcs.zip
  7. Well, I updated tools this morning to 1.3.0. Before that I would occasionally get the correct view, but after updating, not a single load into DCS-MT was correct. Every time I got to the hanger it as backwards and upside down. Flying in the non-MT DCS version all the views are correct even if the display still sucks in VR. I've tried disabling the tools but that didnt have any effect on the MT views even though it seems like updating it totally screwed it up.
  8. Every time I login I am upside down and 180 degrees out, facing the hanger doors under the headset. The mirror on the monitor is right side up but still 180 degrees out. Guess I'll wait for the first update.
  9. I think you will also agree that AMD released the 7K before the drivers have been flushed out. I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy now in hopes the newer drivers will let the 7900XTX beat the 4080 in most games. AMD doesn't have the best track record in terms of their drivers.
  10. Since it seems that VR, and DCS in particular, is the bastard step child of all the online reviewers and bench-markers, I’d like to see some real numbers from real users. These online pendants will happily test new hardware against hundreds of games but very very few in VR and I don’t think I have ever seem DCS included in any of them, flat screen or VR. If you were lucky enough the get your hands on one of AMD’s 7K series or nVidia's 4K’s, would you please post what it is your upgrading from and the basic numbers you were seeing along with the what your purchased and the new numbers. Please include your CPU as bottle necking could be an issue and skew the numbers.
  11. Thanks edmuss, your suggestions and a couple of other minor tweeks got me to an appGPU of 15 and an avg FPS 55.
  12. Can you tell me where all the different setting are and what to set them to? Every place I have found a setting I have left it at default except for OpenXR's toolkit where I have FSR enabled and the resolution set to 3160x3088. I changed my setting to what you suggested and now I've got a lot of heat blur or you might call it the shimmies. Very hard to read anything on the MFD like this.
  13. DishDoggy- The three setting that you circled are how mine are set. edmuss- I don't really need to use that because I get the same information from HWinfo64, except for the color coding. I turned MR on just to see what would happen and I saw no difference and the overlay never did turn blue. My GPU runs at 99% utilization while my CPU is hanging around asking "what do you want my to do next, I'm bored". I don't think I'll get anything better unless I move to a 7900XTX or DCS gets moved to Vulkan.
  14. @edmuss-I finally found it. I was looking at the wrong piece of software. Dame thing is hard to read high and left in one eye only, but what I can't miss is the solid RED that never seems to change no matter what my setting are. @Burt-Your question made me thing of something. I had Afterburner installed at one point and maybe I had MR turned on and it was stuck on when I uninstalled. To start fresh I used DDU and cleaned everything up. Reinstall AMD drivers only this time and the latest Afterburner. I'm getting 2550 clock speed on 1.125v and it momentarily topped out at 235w draw. I'm still only getting between 35 and 40 FPS while in game. I still can't figure out why it acting as if MR is turned on somewhere.
  15. I've seen a color coded graph like that in SteamVR developer settings but I only seem to be able to get digital readouts with the OpenXR developer setting. I'm afraid I need step by step instructions.
  16. Well, I've updated the OpenXR software and I've replaced my CPU in order to get PCIe Gen 4 but it made no difference. It's still acting like MR is on and I seem to be stuck around 45 FPS. So back to my original question. How do I determine if MR is on and how do I turn it off if it is on?
  17. I have a 6900XT that is OC'd to the max that AMD software will let me. I think I can get some more out of the card, but I'm limited by voltage. Does anybody know of a hack that will let my apply more voltage to the card?
  18. Got it. No difference seen but easier to install and maintain. One question though that is not addressed, or I didn't see it. When DCS does an update or you do a repair should I rerun the OpenXR install again? Since I don't know when the files go I don't know if any of them are replaced by original files. As for AppGPU, I'm used to it being call "frametime" and DCS is showing me it bouncing between 20ms and 30ms. I'm experimenting with setting to try and get it below 20ms constantly.
  19. Can you provide links? I think I know where it's at on Github, but I can easily get lost on that site. I also need help with "appGPU", I don't know where to get that number from.
  20. Both the tool kit and DCS internal FPS counter say 45FPS after I have set WMR to 60FPS. I'm not quite sure what's going on because these same counter will show 90FPS on other screens within DCS such as the server list page. I am currently using the Jabbah OCXR_WMR_ACC_v0.6.3 version of OpenXR. Maybe I should look for another implementation to try?
  21. My question is how do I turn off MR and confirm that it's off? My FPS counter is always seems to be at 45FPS. It moves up a little and down a lot but always comes back to 45FPS. This is what I expect to see when MR is turned on from what I have read about what it's used for and how it does it. I have tweaked out my CPU and GPU and I want to see what kind of FPS I get without MR. I have turned off every option for MR or motion smoothing that I can find but my FPS is still stuck at 45FPS. I have searched for some discussions on OpenXR and MR and found very little to no useful information on the subject. If somebody can advise me or point me to a useful thread on the subject I would be grateful.
  22. That did it, thanks. Just FYI. There was a folder left under "Program Data" along with the reference to a JSON in the registry that didn't get cleared when I uninstalled it.
  23. I'm using smooth as the default of 60/120. I've tried changing these and re-centering. The thing I don't understand is why does it work looking right but not left? Before somebody says it, I did uninstall and reinstall the program.
  24. Yep, like I said, up , down and right work fine but there is no acceleration to the left. I've changed the setting hoping to jog something loose but that didn't do anyting.
