  1. Differential braking helps a lot for making small correction on take off, at least for me
  2. Thats a lot of switches and buttons to memorize! my head is already hurting!
  3. Hotpants, There are already ways to implement 6DOF with Freetrack+PPJoy, it requires some tweaking but at the end works very well, and please ignore Prophet and his NP lobbying, all that he wants is to get yet another Freetrack thread closed...

Thanks for the tip CAT, but finally made it work, the offcenter thing with PPJOY is caused by virtual joystick calibration errors, since our head movement cant be calibrated as a joystick there is always a couple of axis that ends up off center, I finally solved this by looking up where in the windows registry the calibration data is stored, once I found it, I edited those values manually a voila! all of the 6 axes, are almost dead center.   5. I got it to work too, but I´m having trouble getting a centered view in BS, all the axis works great but for some reason when I center FT the view moves to a point slightly off the real center, I guess if we can solve this issue there wont be a need to rely on NP for 6DOF
  6. I believe if you have TrackIR version 1 and 2 then you are out of luck since latest versions of TIR software does not support them anymore...
  7. Confirmed Freetrack users got screwed with the western release... with this M$ attitude from NP, I rather go back to controlling the view with the hat, than purchase anything from them...
  8. Do you really think this sim should cost $25?? I suspect that it is a matter of average income and how much russians are willing to pay for a game, considering that piracy in russia is a seriuos problem... my 2 cents
  9. Now that would be great!, It would be nice to have an option to use a trigger to set off smoke courtains in BS.... something like if X unit destroyed then activate unit "smoke generator"

  11. I dont know if this was mentioned already, I would love to see armor, apc´s etc. popping smoke once the first vehicle in the group gets hit, or even use some of the anti ATGM systems available today, ARENA, Shtora-1, TROPHY to name a few...
  12. On second thought, this also could be implemented with coding, X meters above area with trees, helicopter explode, missile/round disappear...I dont mind AI keep seeing me, shooting at me or running through the trees, I only want that those rounds never reach my chopper

Could this be so difficult to add in a mod??? they are already importing new/custom structures in FC which if I´m not mistaken are collidable, so whats the problem in adding invisible and very simplified boxes/extruded shapes roughly covering the areas with trees that matters (we dont need that on mountain sides), as someone already said, those shapes are alerady on the map editor, is this so crazy to implement? I would hate being fired upon by enemies buried in the middle of a forest who I cant see...for me this is the biggest letdown of an otherwise perfect sim
