  1. Yes, it is. I also ran a repair, no change. Disabled all mods.. I believe it is under HOTAS, spelled as - SENSOR CONTROL LEFT not sensor select. I don't see a sensor select on the HOTAS page for the hornet, I assume that sensor control is what everyone is referring to.
  2. AG mode From an air start, single player, 65G's Master Arm - ON Select AG mode click MAV twice to bring up the seeker picture, wait 3 mins for countdown Sensor Control Switch - LEFT (nothing happens) no diamond on the DDI. No slewing with my tdc. Same if I go sensor control Right, no diamond on that DDI (usually on the EW page) I can uncage in boresight and lock stuff that way. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
  3. I can’t select the DDI as SOI. AG selected, master arm on. Select AGM 65 G from stores page, push the “MAV” button again to bring up the picture from the missile on my left DDI. Press sensor select left (bound to my hotas) and nothing happens. So I can’t slew it... however I can carefully aim at something in boresight, uncage, lock and fire. Am I doing something wrong?
  4. How do I get speed to display in the HUD? I use auto start... no speed displayed. Just altitude
  5. Thanks! Guess i'll wait to see how it shakes out.
  6. I have a dual thrustmaster cougar MFD setup right now. Currently on the hornet I have these set to the left and right DDI. It occurs to me that, as these displays are not color, some important functions will only be found on the bottom color display. I definitely will need one of my cougar mfd displays to function with the tpod, IR mav's and when it becomes available, the datalink to other aircraft. Should I set one of my MFD's to display the bottom screen?
  7. Enjoyed it! Have to make sure not to miss the next one -Gaffer
  8. Only MP for me as well. SP last night, worked fine. I'm just a single player man until the next patch I guess!
  9. I'll throw my hat into the ring as well, after the last update the radar seems exponentially worse. Has a lot of trouble locking up targets. I see a target clearly on the display, should be easy to lock up. Sub 15 miles, not on the deck, hot. Move cursor over target and click lock while in straight and level flight. Locks for about 1 sec then drops the lock, the target indicator in the HUD just freezes up. Have not tried in SP yet but in MP this is definitely the case. If ED needs a track I will be happy to grab one tonight... however I see that this thread is 6 pages in so they likely already have all the info they need.
  10. As Talon X1 mentioned, my post was moved here by a moderator who did not understand the difference.
  11. This appears to be a solution for Simple Radio... which I do have But I need a solution for UniversRadio
  12. UniversRadio - Broken I had the latest UR version/patch installed and it used to work with the hornet. Now the hornet does not work, but UR is still working with my other aircraft. Did anyone else find that the latest DCS update made UR incompatible with the hornet?
  13. Don't know but its something I am going to be playing with later tonight. That and WACQ I got rocked pretty good in a night mission last weekend and I am determined to get better with the AA radar and all of its modes. Looking at the Tacview there were several times I trashed an enemy's missile, turned back into them and just never saw them when I was about 4 miles away and pointed in their general direction, in perfect position for a shot.
  14. btw, how accurate are they for you? I have trouble getting them to fall unpredictably long or short. Even a string of four sometimes cant hit a target, with a straight and level drop from about 500' and 450kts or so, results in an unpredictably long or short hit. Maybe I just need to go slower.
  15. I notice the Hornet is very reluctant to keep a missile lock on an enemy past about 20 degrees off the nose. On the eagle I can fire a sparrow and then immediately "crank" the target off to the side of the radar screen, 40-50 degrees off the nose, no problem. I don't think the loss of lock has anything to do with the enemy notching me. If i'm driving straight at them, they can maneuver and notch all they want, and as long as they are close enough (20-30mi) the radar stays locked. Pull more than about 20 degrees off boresight and I lose the lock very easily, almost instantly. Anyone else notice this behavior? I have not done any sort of controlled testing, this is just my observation. I would think this radar should be just as good at keeping a lock 60 degrees off boresight (assuming you don't exceed the 70 degree limit of the radar) as it would if you are driving straight at them.
  16. Can’t find an official reference for corner speed in the FA-18C. I know this varies with weight etc...
  17. I notice with the DCS Hornet, that it is difficult to hear the engines over the constant internal cockpit "machine" noise. I don't know what else to call it. Especially when refueling in the air, or on final approach to the carrier, being able to hear the engines whine is critical to precise throttle control for a good approach. I have high quality speakers on my computer and no issues hearing the engine RPM's of the other jets I usually fly (harrier, warthog). I have tried messing with the sound levels a bit, but the volume of the engines and this internal cockpit noise which masks them seems to be linked. Anyone else? Hard to tell with gopro's crappy microphones but it seems you can hear the engines fairly clearly on final in this video
  18. Feature of the new update. Same here. Its nice/useful in the air to have this as it will keep you from inadvertently going into Burner (and giving away your position). However the annoying thing, if the throttle is advanced past MIL, pressing the finger lifts won't bring the throttle into burner. You have to reduce throttle, press lifts, then go forward to burner.
  19. This is a somewhat annoying issue... i think i'm gonna put it on the keyboard so I don't have to re-learn two hats (well, a stick and a hat) when TDC slew axis becomes available
