I have just placed my deposit for the V2 and am ordering the recommended chair today and will also order the 2 fans from Amazon.

I would like to go to a previous mission in the EPSOM Campaign and refly it and others out of sequence. However it appears that I always have to restart at the beginning. Has Bunyap or anyone figured how to select a particular mission without the necessity of restarting the entire campaign?

Thanks Colmillo I had inadvertently blocked one of my sensors, I thought it was a software issue..

My cockpit view always remains centered and any head movement moves the entire cockpit, so that I am always equidistant from any surface. I can no longer move my head to the edge of the cockpit canopy and or my head forward for a close up view because the cockpit moves with my head movement. This was not the situation until I did a DCS cleanup and repair in both 1.5 and 2.0 Openalpha. I may have an incorrect setting but I can't figure out what has changed. PLEASE HELP

To Ravens Seriously considering the purchase of this motion simulator and have questions that I can't get clarified from the supplier(s) and your help will be most appreciated. 1. I was told the 2 and 3 DOF units can get very close to a full 20degrees of movement in all directions? Is this the maximum movement you have with your unit? 2. I contacted SIMTOOL as to their support for both DCS 1.5 and DCS 2.0 Open Alpha and also IL2 Sturmovik-BOS, BOM and BOK. a. It appears their Plugin does work for DCS 1.5 but unclear if it will also work for DCS 2.0 Open Alpha, especially Normandy. Did your SIMTOOL Plugin support both DCS 1.5 and DCS 2.0 Open Alpha? b. IL2 Sturmovik-BOS,BOM and BOK are also my favored flightsims, next to DCS. SIMTOOL shows a Plugin for the IL2 Cliffs of Dover but they were non-committal on their Plugin application for IL2 Sturmovik-BOS,BOM and BOK. Have you been able to setup these IL2 applications for use with your simulator? There appears to be an adequate Plugin for WAR THUNDER, which I seldom play. 3. I am not the most computer savy individual and how complex/difficult did you find in making the Plugin applications work correctly? Would really appreciate your experiences and opinions with these questions as your answer will be the deciding factor for my purchase of the simulator. Please respond, Thanks, Jim

Campaigns Would enjoy campaigns involving the following and don't mind paying for well executed scenarios . P-51 Campaign involving the defense of B-17s on their bombing missions over Normandy Campaign over Normandy against 109s/190s and lots of tank, trucks and infantry BF109 Campaign over the south Coast of England and the channel with lots of shipping and fighter furballs against Spitfires, as in the Battle of Britain Campaign over Normandy against B17s making bomber runs on Reich airfields Campaign over Normandy beaches with Reich Bombers against Spitfires as in the Dunkirk evacuation F-86 Campaign against the Mig 17 over a simulated Korean landscape and lots of tank, trucks and infantry I know this is a lot but some ideas that could be very interesting. I always found my position in the F-86 to be too high to see the gun sight properly, this was especially a problem in VR but also without VR. The method to raise and lower the cockpit seat or cockpit eye point of view is to use the following commands. Move seat down: Rcntrl + Rshift + Numpad 2 Move seat up: Rcntrl + Rshift + Numpad 8 Move seat forward: Rcntrl + Rshift + Numpad * (Zoom-In Slow also works well) Move seat back: Rcntrl + Rshift + Numpad / (Zoom-Out Slow also works well Recenter seat: Rcntrl + Rshift + Numpad 5 These commands work in all cockpits, with VR or without

I have a 32" 1080P monitor and used Track IR for years and thought it was the best but my Rift just outshines the the 2D experience. There are still some items for Oculus to improve but overall the rift is here to stay.

Have any users experienced using Voice Attack for the radio comms in the Epsom Campaign. From the You Tube videos it would appear that Voice Attack will be ideal to prevent having to raise the VR headset to send comms to the flight. Please let me know your experience and any tips with this application and if possible the best how to set up Voice Attack in DCS>

I have a new rig and don't find dial readability to be an issue at all. I can very easily read all the major dials in all my cockpits and only use VR Zoom to check a few smaller dials lower down or some small instructions in the side of the cockpits but I used to do the same thing with my 1080P monitor. A description of clarity is I can easily read the N-S-E-W on the circular Spitfire compass but in order to read the individual degrees, I have to VR Zoom. I can read all the instruction tabs in the cockpit except the CARB FRESH AIR setting, have to VR Zoom to read the fin pint. Air Pressure gauge, voltage gauge, fuel gauge, etc.. no problem reading those. I move my head only slightly forward to see clearly read the instructions for setting the FLAPs but VR zoom isn't necessary. The issue that I would like to see improved upon is the visibility of air targets far away or defining ground targets against a similarly colored back ground. I don't have the shimmering buildings effect with ASW off. Every thing looks normal. Are you sure you didn't knock off the blades during the landing, happens to me all too frequently.

Spitfire Gunsight Flickering Also using the (Lcntrl + Numpad 1) will eliminate the flickering gun sight image with the SPITFIRE.

I don't know, how do I access the keyboard you're speaking about and I will let you know if I can see it in VR

I would really like to have a virtual keyboard APP available in DCS-VR so that you could bring it up and make then keyboard strikes with the cursor. Having to lift my headset whenever I want to make an adjustment to my options or other keyboard related activity is a real pain. If there is such a thing available or a workaround, would appreciate knowing about it. If there isn't, I am sure someone could make money by offering it for sale, I would gladly buy such an App.

I thoroughly enjoy flying the WWII Single Missions, Multiplayer Missions and Campaigns of other DCS users and wish that more would be posted in the user files. I fly 1.5 and Normandy WWII birds using VR. I am not at all proficient at making my own missions but hope that if you have some new creations then by all means upload them for the rest of us to enjoy. I have an X-52 sitting in the closet and a TM Warthog in my flight cockpit. I will always hold on to the x-52 to use if my Warthog fails and while I wait for another to be delivered. Been using my Warthog for 4+ years and never encountered a stickion problem, often erringly described as a constant problem. I would suggest that an extension be purchased eventually for the Warthog as the springs are firm to bring a well built unit back to a neutral position.

It would be very helpful if those posting User Files for 2.1 Alpha mission downloads would identify if the file is for Normandy or for NTTR.

I have a 1080Ti and I fly only VR with 2.5 pixels, standard VR settings, no stuttering both in 1.5 and 2.1 Normandy. Easy to read cockpit dials and a good VR experience is totally engrossing. When flying the Spitfire in VR I have a secondary gun site image that continually stretches and distorts making accurate shooting uncomfortable. I am hoping it is related to prop reflection? Also flying the BF109 VR I find it difficult to focus on the gun site using both eyes, Interested to hear from players if this is my rig or if these situations have been encountered by others. FYI: I have eliminated all end of game crashes in 2.1 Normandy by turning off Deferred Shading in the VR options page. Also occasionally I get a freeze when trying to start VR flying in both 1.5 and 2.1, after selecting the mission. When I get a freeze in that situation I close the Briefing, hit ESC and select Resume. Not always needed but works every time when required. I have two dark circles on the gun sight reflector glass above the two illumination lights and I cannot remove them. I have reviewed and applied every controls option, checked cockpit switches and cannot get them cleared. The gun sight performs perfectly in Gyro, Gyro Fixed and Fixed and I can brighten and dim the various gyro sights. The dark circles are there even on a Cold Startup and before any power is activated in the cockpit and also in the other flight selections. I have downloaded a P-51 user file and the spots are there also. The dark circles are only in DCS World 2 OpenAlpha Normandy and not in 1.5. I have run a repair and an upgrade on DCS 2 and also deactivated and activated the P-51 module all with no results. I am probably doing something dumb but I can't figure it out.

DCS World 2-Normandy The Spitfire is the only module where I experience ground mist or light fog. Is anyone else noticing this same thing. My rig: Win 10 i7-7700K 32GB GTX 1080TI !000W PSU
