  1. I have a new Pimax 5K+ and need detailed info, help and advice for setting up the HMD. Please be specific as I am not the most knowledgeable computer guy. My rig: i7-7700, GTX 1080Ti, 32 gigs, 1-HTC Vive Sensor
  2. BEWARE BEWARE This is a good promise to sell more 5K+ units with a fast delivery, unfortunately I the accuracy is not there. I ordered and paid for my 5K+ in October 2018 and still don't have a delivery notification. I emailed PIMAX a week ago when I read about this offer and got a vague reply about warehouse problems etc. etc but no forecasted delivery date. BEWARE BEWARE
  3. Spit Rudder Trim jcomm, Been flying the Spitfire for a couple of years now and totally agree with you, the rudder is overly sensitive. The nose up/down trim is also sensitive but doesn't seem as much so as the rudder. I have nose up/down and rudder left/right trim set up on my Warthog Joystick POV and there are no curves to adjust.. I find if I bump the trim button very quickly then it will be OK for a while. Remember all WWII Spitfire pilots stated that any change in change in engine rpm, boost, speed etc will require re-trimming. it is just the nature of the Spitfire.
  4. Yes, Please add the piston effect for P-51 and Spitfire.
  5. I bought one of the earlier 3DOF units and the motion was so jerky and uneven when changing orientation, due to play in the gearbox, that it just wasn't satisfactory for flightsimming. I communicated with other 3DOF owners during the same time period and they all had the same issue and 3DOF was unable to solve the problem. I eventually sold it to a racing enthusiast and he never had a problem with the jerky and uneven movement. Has 3dof solved the gearbox problem where the ride is now completely smooth when changing orientation in the pitch /roll axis?
  6. the only time I have encountered a jumpy control stick was when I had conflicting/multiple selections in the command assignments. Also make sure you check to the far right in the assignments to insure that your rudder pedals aren't sending a spurious command.
  7. Same problem here, been the same for some time. Quite annoying!!!
  8. Everything being said about the VR experience is absolutely true, the immersion is phenomenal and not being able to see the keyboard is no problem with a good Hotas like the Warthog. Clarity in VR is not as good as with a high resolution TV but after you've used your VR HMD for a very short time you just don't notice any detraction's. I suspect most of the naysayers put on a VR HMD for 5 seconds and then complain without giving it a real chance or they have their minds made up prior to even trying VR. I use the Rift and have a Pimax 5K+ on order but the Vive users like their unit also. Give VR an honest try and you can't help but toss out the monitor, it's absolutely great!!!
  9. I have the 5k+ on order, but need to know exactly what BASE STATION or stations do I need to order to for proper operation of the PIMAX HMD.
  10. My P51 Sim artificial horizon is reversed, when the right wing is down the artificial horizon shows left wing down and vice versa and when turning it shows the opposite turn. Pitch is showing correctly on the artificial horizon. The turn and bank is also performing correctly. Has anyone else seen this problem and is there any way to correct my artificial horizon????
  11. I use Cntrl+EEE to exit the cockpit after opening the canopy of my WWII fighters, after a mission, however you can't re-enter the cockpit. You can use various views to look from the pilots eyes or view him from afar, and the HOTAS pitch for walking, backup and rudder pedals to turn. I've walked all over airfields and into buildings and hangers etc with this command.
  12. On the KEY BINDING pages, go to the UI section and look for VR center and VR zoom. Bind each of these to a separate button on your joystick and this should solve your problem.
  13. It is needed, tired of being shot down by late model jets
  14. Before I buy, would like confirmation that the NS430 system is now useable with VR and WWII planes? Please Advise:
  15. Same here, the keys recommended do not work
  16. Help Needed How do I activate the GPS for the WWII planes?
  17. I regularly fly DCS using my Rift VR with out any problems at all, but today I noticed that when I move my head/headset slightly it causes the screen to jiggle slightly. When I hold my headset stationary, then there is no problem. I checked all my VR settings and nothing has changed, I tried several different planes and encountered the same problem and found the jiggly movement is also present in the basic DCS selections screen. I exited and re-entered DCS several times and the problem was always there. I then tried the IL2 flight sim and the problem did not exist there. Does any one else have this issue or a solution?
  18. I fly in VR and my outside terrain views are clear with the proper amount of color and lighting. However the interior of the cockpit of all planes is way too bright. How can I adjust only the cockpit interior contrast without degrading the exterior views? Need help as I can't find a way to get this done..
  19. Get the Rift or Vive now, and upgrade to the best set once they have proven themselves by actual users of flight sims. Pimax, HTC Vive Pro and a number of the others all promise great things but no one has really tried one in a sustained flight sim mode. I don't notice the Rift screen door effect any more or the loss of VR clarity. However, once you go VR you will only use your flat screen to check your email and news etc. VR is just too immersive to ever go back to the flat screen once you commit to it..
  20. I contacted Virpil about purchasing a T-50 with the offset extension and that type of extension is not offered, however they continue to show an offset extension on their website and these photos.
  21. I have listed my 2 DOF Motion platform on ebay for $600 and local pickup only in Geprgia USA ebay item number: 173197181926
  22. When aloft in the Spit I reduce my RPMs to 2500 to 2800 with a button on the throttle and then control my boost with throttle movement. Set my speed with the throttle to a reasonable amount keeping boost as low as possible and and making sure the temps stay in range . If I don't set up like this, then my engine conks out in short order. I may be in error but I have never controlled or set boost separately, but it sounds like you can reduce the throttle setting and then set boost separately and it it would act like a cruise control on a car. You could then increase boost above the selected level with the trottle. However when in combat or landing I set my RPMS to 3100, control my speed with the throttle/boost and watch the temps. Hope this is what you're looking for and very interested in how boost is handled by other pilots.
