  1. Found the solution myself. In the VR settings you should uncheck the detect VR setting.
  2. When starting DCS from Steam I get asked what version I want to play. However all the time the VR version starts, regardless of what I choose. No problem switching IL2 between VR and normal btw
  3. So, now here is my experience with the Oculus: Had a nice day with the P51D, no problems at all. The next morning I tried a VR rollercoaster app and got motion sick the entire day. Next day tried VR again and it was a bit better but seems like now I am more sensitive to it. Will make a few days pause and check back.

  5. Sometimes this appears but seems to ignore what I click.
  6. Is there a way to switch between normal play and VR? The game now always starts in VR mode.
  7. One more question: The motion sickness also won't affect me after getting used to it if I am in a roll or looping?
  8. Thanks for all the help! I might give the F18 a try - while waiting for the F14. But also the F5E looks interesting. Currently I fly the P51D a lot.
  9. Hello, soon my new PC and Oculus Rift will arrive. I once tried out VR in DCS at a friend with the P51D. Very nice, though when flying with around 60 degrees bank I got motion sick. So does it mean I should shift my focus to aircraft with less loopings and rolls – like the A10C – or doesn't it matter?
  10. In the A10C as well as the SU24 the view jumps back and forth. Cannot be a TrackIR bug as I don't have the same problem with the P51D. It might have to do something however with the joystick configuration. (Have a Cougar Throttle, TM Throttle, TM Thrustmaster and FFB2 connected to the PC). Any ideas? (sorry for the double post, maybe someone here knows the answer)

  12. Agree, but that’s another issue.
  13. Gave it a try a couple of days ago. It’s very nice and gives a good feedback on an imminent stall. Don’t know though how realistic is the strength of shaking.
  14. Nevertheless DCS lacks a quick mission system where you can setup appropriate opponents to your skill level with three mouse clicks.
  15. Thanks! Happy to hear that! Have the FFB2 too.
  16. After I changed to flying fighter jets (BMS F16 and now DCS) I bought a TM Warthog and stored my MS Forcefeedback Joystick in some box. Does it make sense to use it with the P51D? Any experiences?
  17. And? Still no Steam. Or is there a way I can fly it without installing a second version of DCS on my computer?
  18. Totally off topic: Yesterday tried out the CAM5 with the A2A 172 in FSX:SE. IMHO not enough rudder authority with even a minor crosswind. But it could be a setting thing. Quite fine however with the P51D at DCS.
  19. Sorry if this question has been handled already somewhere else: I would like to buy the plane and use it with my steam version. I thought I linked the two versions so that should not be any problem. Now I am confused by some warning on the DCS shopping site.
  20. Thanks for the info! I have the MFG pedals. Don’t know what you mean by the lack of swing of those brands you mentioned. I already ordered the CAM5 if that says something to you.
  21. I think I will give it a try. Ideally someone would do a Super Cub! That would be the perfect trainer.
  22. Interesting! While the F-14 will hopefully be pure fun I (private pilot) hope to get something out of DCS for the real world. In DCS I fly a lot with the P51D but its quite hard. However is the Christen Eagle – as an aerobatic plane – really a good tailwheel trainer?
  23. It would be nice to have a RIO module that runs on independently of DCS on an old/second computer/iPad so a visiting friend could play the RIO.
  24. I'm lost a bit in your discussion. I'm just looking for a hall kit for the throttle. Any news on that area? The solutions needs to be plug and play for me...
