I’m thinking of buying this module for flying in multi crew. Is it fun flying it in the attack version with two people or isn’t there anything to do for the second pilot?
Thats a purely academic discussion. For the sake of simulation its just relevant that a consistent system of variation is used - which it is. The basic "in the air" navigation / communication standard is magnetic so its rather irrelevant if the simulated GNS430 does or does not show the variation at a particular location. You can look it up on a chart and do your own calculations if needed.
If you want some resemblance to reality it would make more sense to ask for magnetic course indications for the map. That’s how ForeFlight gives you heading information for example.
Why would it need them? Not really necessary unless you are flying with a paper map and use a chart ruler. No need to deal with true course while in the air.
I like to switch between my joysticks (Warthog & FFB2). Is there any way to do this without having to delete and redo the axis assignments? I have the feeling flying with the FFB2 while the Warthog is still assigned is no problem but vice versa its a big problem.
There were different Tacan stations, called Lima sites, Lima Site 85 being the most famous one. But I find your way of designing it way more interesting.
I'm thinking of switching from flying the F-5 with my FFB2 instead of the Warthog. However I will lack some keys. Any suggestions on how to best set it up?
Interesting! Many thanks for the good ideas! The question is, if I can remove it later on without to much destruction? Once tried gaffer tape to fix the pedals directly to the floor and it left some stains and was not strong enough.
Okay... I thought you have to keep the nws button pushed the whole time. I thought this was a specialty of the F-5.
Is it a question of the the target software?
Yesterday I wanted to admire my ground loop in VR and clicked on Replay.
Unfortunately it also replayed all my head movements. Needed to get rid off the glasses asap to not get sick.
I want to review my landings and would like to have a quick replay of the past 60 seconds. Is there any way to do that? Watching the whole replay is a bit time consuming...
