  1. Yeah, I think When I was a kid, they used to make a snow sled that had those kind of backwards steering controls, push right to turn left and push left to turn right and all the what not. It's kind of a fuzzy memory, anyone else remember anything like that? could it be some buried childhood memory of some twisted controls to some slide down the hill and hope for the best contraption is what has so many people confused? lol.
  2. Give the community a little time, im sure someone will be along to help answer your question. Just be patient. :)
  3. What the heck, im gonna try this out. Its downloading now, the first file is 336mb and it takes about an hour from sourceforge (dont why it takes that long, but oh well). Ill post back when I get it running and share my first impressions. I almost uninstalled FSX a few days ago. Glad I didnt. This looks promising.
  4. Python, just place the mouse cursor over the knob you want to turn, then while the cursor is placed over the knob, use the mouse WHEEL to turn the knob. Edit: ok i just saw that you said that scrolling the wheel causes you to zoom, so, are you using track ir? or are you using the mouse to look around? You may have to press left cntrl + c to go back to the regular cockpit mouse function. At least I think it is left cntrl+c.
  5. You have been steering your car wrong all of these years.
  6. Hey thanks Nemesis, it was a pleasure flying with you as well. I thoroughly enjoyed that flight. I have the 104th TS address on file here. I got it from hyperlobby:thumbup:. whats your website though, i'll check it out. See you next week.
  7. leave them on, and hope they stay on. they are there to help you, and in real life, the pilots are REQUIRED to fly with them on.
  8. I have both stages programmed and working properly, however they have different functions than you desire. stage 1 wheel brakes, stage 2 cannon fire. Works great for me.
  9. copy that, I do tend to switch the laser off and on, perhaps it was off when i thought it was on. I will pay attention to that when i test it. thanks for the suggestion.
  10. Hey guys, I have noticed recently that yellow shkval symbol on the abris moving map is often not accurate. Example: I am targeting a tank 4.5 km out. On the Abris moving map, the yellow shkval tracking indicator symbol is showing that it is way way out there say 20 km out. I did a search, but I didnt find anything that reported this, however there were many pages of results and i didnt have time to search every single one. It seems to occur more often in mountainous landscapes, or areas where there may be rolling hills, but this is just a theory. I will test it further, and if i get a succesful recipe to reproduce the bug i will post it. I feel it is a very significant bug, as it has the ability to render datalink useless when your trying to put your shkval over the data link target area, but your moving map is giving bogus information. The only other thing i can think of, could this not be a bug, but in fact be due to not performing a nav pos fix? Sorry, im not trying to make anyone mad, I know its not the way to report a bug (I have worked QA for several software companys). but I just wanted to bring some awareness to this and see if anyone else has had any issues with it.
  11. see ya, spend the next year/ year and a half putting two pieces of pipe and some fittings together again then. lol. or create your own team deathmatch mission, and let the community judge how good it is. Honestly by reading your complaints i get the feeling you have spent a few hours with it, and just figured you got it all figured out. I dont think you could handle A2A close combat in the shark. Furthermore I cant imagine what you were thinking when you subjected our fine community this ignorance.
  12. Spectacular!!
  13. Excellent video neonrider! I really like that shot of the vikhr as its getting fired in slow motion. Man I gotta figure out how to get shots like that. and that shot from underneath, when all the shells start falling from the cannon. Really cool cinematography. Nice landing too, looking like a pro out there.
  14. Hey rider, check out the second post in this link, it will show you how you can get your original music back. I havent actually tried it, but others have said that it works. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39016 cool video. Minus the music lol.
  15. well, ya know, I just felt like makin a video. When I didnt have a good enough PC for gaming, I would watch all the cool lock on videos and stuff, now that I have it, I figure theres some poor sucker out there that watches this crap just like I do, and if that guy enjoys it, then good. But seriously the campaign destroys me. I am a total failure on the campaign. I cant even pass the introductory campaign. So the fact that you even got to "the other side" shows a good comparison as well.
  16. Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Made in china00: I will use shift Y next time for sure. Thanks, I couldnt remember what the command was for that. That will make the grey bar go away while recording externals right? Thanks again everyone.
  17. Thats what im talkin about! cool video, great flying. kind of a close landing though:). The GRAW works. lol. KEEP IT UP.
  18. Nice shootin tex, cool video, great song. Could benefit from some inside the cockpit views imho. Could benefit me that is. :)
  19. Hey guys, heres my second video. DCS Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind. Just a fan video, nothing fancy. It does have some great missile evasion shots, and some good air to air combat for the trained eye. as always, turn up your speakers, enjoy the music, the video, and make sure your watching in HQ. Enjoy!! Thanks!!
  20. looks great, I been staying away from the mods so far, (no offense modders, im just happy with the original version, if it aint broke, dont fix it), but this is very tempting...........it looks great. Good job.
  21. cool. can any xp users comment on the fps performance for this mission?
  22. just relax and fly. sounds like your reading the manual a little too much.
  23. yeah, im not giving them my black shark serial number. I really am interested in it, but it's so over priced. I guess they figure if you can afford three monitors in the first place, you have no problem dishing out another few hundred bucks for the matrox. that thing should be a hundred bucks max though.
  24. I recommend a program called virtual dub. its free and it works great. so after you capture with fraps, then you compress those files using virtual dub.
