  1. Wouldn't it be great though if ED postponed releasing "Normandy" for a week and released it on Tuesday, June 6, 2017; the 73rd anniversary of the actual invasion
  2. Ah, you're absolutely correct! Sorry, I miss read the statement.
  3. I don't believe this will be true for any future module purchases on Steam. DCS just posted a news message that the key has changed for future Steam purchases, and will no longer activate on modules on DCS.
  4. Maybe they're "air brakes?" :-D
  5. You know, since you said about enjoying the challenge an mental exercise envolved in flying the Spit and 109, that might be the reason you're less than satisfied by the Dora. Just the throttle movement to control the RPM, and everything else, mixture, prop pitch, induction pressure, controlled by the management unit based on the RPM. A buddy of mine loves flying the Dora, more than the Mustang, because he doesn't have to control the pitch and inhg. I on the other hand get a massive thrill each of the few times I'm able to get her into the air. I don't even try to land yet. By the way, I'm of the opinion that take offs and landings will be VERY different in the new Normandy map. The airfields will be grass and dirt, so we shouldn't have nearly as much of a tendency to bounce as on a paves runway.
  6. I'll be flying the P-51D because I can't yet take off in the Fw190D-9 with any consistency, and I don't own the Spitfire Mk IX or the Bf109k-4. Also, a friend sent me some screen shots of ha tussle he had in his Dora with a Spit. Lots of little holes in his wings from the .303s, but far fewer big 20mm holes. I'm not sure the .303 rifle rounds would reliably penetrate the armored cockpit of the Dora. I'm pretty sure the .50s from the Ma Duces in the Mustang would.
  7. Good morning all! I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but if not, I apologize. I purchased FC3 a couple of days ago and installed it in 1.5. The training missions for most aircraft are there now, but are a bit strange. I began doing the A-10A training in the order presented in the training screen. The first one worked fine, but the next two, I think they were cockpit fam and taxi and the takeoff, even though they were labeled "A-10A," were actually MiG-29. Then subsequent training labeled A-10A were actually for the A-10A. There are no training labeled for the MiG-29. Has anyone else experienced this?
