  1. Noted ^^ Thanks^
  2. I know it depends on the aircraft's Gross Weight (Fuel + Payloads) but assuming I'm at almost full load.. (2 ~ 4 Slammers and a pair of Sidewinders at 15000 ~ 13000 lbs of fuel - the usual scenario when the BVR phase doesn't eliminate all bandits in my case.. ) What would be the good corner speed range again..? back in Flaming Cliffs 1.12b, I remember this was around 350-400 knots.. but with the new flight model.. I assume this had changed.. ^^ Thanks in advanced ^^
  3. ^^;
  4. I tried the Ground Re-arm Tip and indeed... No more Right Roll Problem.. but then, the launching sequence of missiles is weird.. Only Left Side AIM-120s either from the Wing Rails or Fuselage can be launched first..
  5. I should've read the forums more to know about the current bugs Now my fully armed F-15 keeps banking on the right upon take off too... ~ I guess I'll have to do LOA from DCS for now..(which I'll be doing anyway because of the Christmas Holidays... out in the province and away from my DCS Rig)..until ED fixes this bug. Beats flying the F-15 with half the Loadout.. I'll just do FS2004 & KanColle for now.. ^~
  6. Kinda OT but definitely related to the Sparrow.. I remember in my Jane's F/A-18 Days wherein the AIM-7 had a LOFT launch mode. The AIM-7 (any variant) will climb up to very high altitude after launch for the purpose of increasing it's range. It looks quite spectacular, but in reality was far less effective in hitting targets even if they were bombers... I wonder if the Eagle has this option for the Sparrow.. or if such launch mode even existed in Real Life...
  7. Not sure if this has been posted before..
  8. I really like JASDF.. or maybe I'm just being a weaboo... Their F-15s look great in special camos. Looks simple yet elaborate at the same time....
  9. I see ^^ thanks :)
  10. I really apologize for my attitude back there.. I was in a not-so-good mood when I made those posts, being stressed from work, deadlines & such.. ..should've flown in DCS first as it's one of my stress relievers... :) Anyway, I have this thought about F-15s not optimized for low altitudes. I remember some documentary about the Eagle having wing buffets or so at low altitudes because of large wings, Is this true? but yeah my memory is short and bad.. so it might be false..
  11. Ok, sorry if I made a stupid post again.. Just ignore what I said. I guess I've become a feeling know it all dork@$$ Should've kept my own STFU mug by my side.. Sorry again.
  12. Welcome to the real Charlie Eagle. Not having Radar Altimeter has little effect on my flying in general. Although sometimes my landings become "less than perfect" as I misjudged the "Sight picture" that I try to maintain in the HUD.. I'd say keep your Velocity Vector above terrain features as much as possible I guess... The F-15 wasn't meant to fly at Low Altitudes anyway... or so I think.. ^^
  13. Combat definitely.. It's what DCS is really all about.. Although there could be times that flying in "peaceful" situations and enjoying their aircraft's performance might be nice too.

    F-15 JASDF

Beautiful~ I always thought the Japanese Eagles are one of the best looking F-15s around, Samurai of the skies indeed =D
  15. I tend to cycle through the Missiles instead through the change weapon function.. cycling between an AIM-9 & AIM-120 until the rightmost missile is selected.. Then everything goes Alternate: right missile, left missile... right missile.. until Winchester. Just so I won't end up flying the Eagle right wing heavy.. ^^
  16. Since we're talking about landings, doing ILS approaches at Night seems a bit troublesome though. Following the ILS would lead you deeper into the runway. Hence When I cross the threshold, it's like I'm still at 50+ feet.. The "gut feeling" judgement doesn't seem to apply since its dark and the only things that can give you an idea how far you are from the ground are the runway lights..
  17. I'm now doing approaches without speedbrakes and somehow my landings seem more consistent.. I only deploy the airbrake during the landing roll. ^^ One thing I notice is that the Nose no longer feels heavy when flaring and I don't fall off like a brick (hence hard landings but with within -500fpm) after retarding the Throttles.. and yeah.. somehow the video links won't show :-(
  18. *Hope I don't sound like an annoying derp asking stupid questions.. If I sound like one please do tell so I'll shut up.. and please have this stupid thread locked* Anyway, I was wondering... since we now have PFM for the Eagle.. How do we use Speedbrakes on Approach to landing? I've seen dozens of F-15C Landing Videos and it seems, every pilot has their own thing.. From Deploying the Speedbrakes after touchdown, Right Before touchdown or Full Speedbrakes from Final Leg all the way down to the runway.. then there are no-speedbrake landings... Weather? Aircraft gross weight? So far I'm doing Full Speedbrake deployment from Final Leg.. but now, I'm trying to do a cleaner Config and will only extend Speedbrakes right after Touchdown of main wheels.. similar to ground spoilers of Airliners (I also play FS2004)
  19. In regards to the Missile launching sequence.. By default, the left outboard AIM-120 is selected. I tend to select an AIM-9 then back to AIM-120. Then the new selected missile becomes the right outboard Slammer.. continue switching between missiles cycles all the AIM-120s & AIM-9s except the left outboard.. For some reason the left outboard Slammer can no longer be selected unless the right outboard is fired.. That way I avoid flying right wing heavy.. but I assume all missiles can be selected in the real aircraft right?

  23. Ok, ok, I get it.. I just wanted to verify if it's a bug or so.. Sorry if it seemed like a dumb question.. I'll try to keep questions to myself next time..
  24. I just noticed that when the Eagle flies with certain amount of sidewind... if left uncorrected, the plane will keep banking towards the wind until it rolls over.. So the F-15's Flight Control System has no correcting function for these conditions whatsoever and that we have to keep on correcting throughout the flight? Trimming towards the opposite bank doesn't seem to work since it will just make the plane bank into that direction as well ^^; I tend to fly with no wind because of this ^^
