  1. ..wished we had a 21st century F-15C instead.. but then ED might be forced to research and model the APG-63(v3) which albeit is still highly classified or so..
  2. In my case.. there's no records in the logbook feauture at all.. not even the total hours.. Is there some sort of logbook file that I can check and/or edit?
  3. debriefing = { ["callsign"] = "Aviaotaku", ["events"] = { [1] = { ["t"] = 57600, ["type"] = "mission start", }, [2] = { ["t"] = 57600, ["type"] = "took control", }, [3] = { ["initiator"] = "Pilot #001", ["initiatorMissionID"] = "1", ["initiatorPilotName"] = "Aviaotaku", ["place"] = "Anapa-Vityazevo", ["t"] = 57663.4, ["type"] = "takeoff", }, [4] = { ["t"] = 58052.7, ["type"] = "mission end", }, }, ["result"] = 0, } -txmtb: I tried your formula so (58052.7 - 57663.4 = 389.3) / 60 = 6.49 minutes.. I timed this once since I started the flight at around 16:00 hours.. and ended it at around 16:08.. It should've been around 8 minutes worth of flight time... unless what registers in the "Mission End" is the moment I touch down on the runway.. but anyway, thanks for the info^ ..I wish ED would do a final fix for the logbook... fixing the feature without breaking it again or so.. I'm quite unmotivated to play this sim right now without the Logbook.. or at least playing it seriously.. ^_^;
  4. Rezing this again.. After browsing some threads here.. it seems that the DCS World Logbook had a history of bugs, particularly in the issue of logging flights. So I'll do what I did in my Jane's F/A-18 TsH Days.. Jane's F/A-18 also had issues with logbook entries.. wherein the flying hours gets rolled back.. iirc.. Hence, I'll just have to make a Word Document Logbook and record my flight hours & other stats MANUALLY.. Seems the only record I can check from the game are saved debriefing files like the one below: debriefing = { ["callsign"] = "Aviaotaku", ["events"] = { [1] = { ["t"] = 57840, ["type"] = "mission start", }, [2] = { ["t"] = 57840, ["type"] = "took control", }, [3] = { ["initiator"] = "Pilot #001", ["initiatorMissionID"] = "1", ["initiatorPilotName"] = "Aviaotaku", ["place"] = "Anapa-Vityazevo", ["t"] = 57927.54, ["type"] = "takeoff", }, [4] = { ["t"] = 58315.506, ["type"] = "mission end", }, }, ["result"] = 0, } Anyone here who can interpret the data? Thanks~
  5. After doing dozens of take offs & landings and considering all the replies here.. I think I now have a rough idea of my own take off & landing style.. For take off.. 160 knots + TO trim, since my joystick is not precise and it's easy to over pitch. Although buggy, the TO trim helps.. at least in my case.. Anyway... I'll just keep the mindset of doing a 3 degree descent path on the runway. AoA not going below 10/Pitch Attitude 6 degrees and up as much as possible and not over Pitching on the Aerobraking Roll.... More importantly... bringing the Eagle down without breaking it... I guess I shouldn't think much since I'm not really getting payed to fly the thing in-game or so It's still a game after all.. :) I'll just make my life simpler.. ^^ Thanks for the replies all^ It helped me a lot~
  6. Back in the FC 1.12b days when the F-15 had a Radar Altimeter, I would flare at approximately 30+ feet... regardless if I'm over the threshold.. a bit over the grass before runway end or deep inside the runway.. Now is seems a bit harder.. but anyways the threshold is where i start the flare roundout.. but after watching those videos.. Now I'm kind of confused.. Flaring is done over the grass, before the end of the runway?

  8. How about the Take off Rotation? Somehow I find myself Rotating with an uncontrollable pitch rate when I rotate at around 160 knots (Loaded with 6 AIM-120s 2 AIM9s & a Centerline Fuel Tank)... or perhaps this is a bug? or my joystick is crap?... etc... Also, Is the Take Off Trim already working as advertised? or it's still a WIP function? I've seen videos where people rotate at 200 something knots...
  9. A lot has changed since Flaming Cliffs 1.12b.. albeit the old procedures now longer apply specially with the Eagle's AFM.. going straight to my point -Is there a way to compute for the F-15's Vr/Rotation speed based on it's gross weight? -What are the ballpark AoA values needed when on final approach? Even in the days of Flaming Cliffs 1, I've always landed with 3-4 degree flight paths and constant AoA value in mind instead of airspeed.. Sometimes, I didn't even knew what my approach speed was after landing ^^; I'm asking this since I found the DCS F-15 manual via Steam and so far.. no clear answers regarding my queries... thanks ^
  10. I just got an air medal too but still zero hours flight time.. LEL I guess I'll just treat my DCS sessions as Familiarization Flights for now since some many things have changed. I still can't nail my landings but then I guess it's good as long as I don't break the gears and crash land.

  13. ....aww.. Hope it gets fixed soon :-( So how do you people "log" your flight hours now? Logbook for me is the soul of flying sim games.. I find it pointless when you can't log all the flights you did, all the landings, kills etc..
  14. Is it me or the Logbook does not record any of my flights at all.. I mainly fly the DCS - F-15C in DCS World 1.2.8 version.. I have been flying the single missions I created in the Mission Editor and so far.. the flights don't register at all zero hours.. and kills Is this a bug or am i missing something?
  15. ..Finally bought it.. I'm glad to be back in the EAGLE xD Thanks for your inputs people ^^
  16. I'm just a few clicks away from purchasing and have one last question.. DCS site indicates that DCS - F-15C Eagle is currently in Download Beta Version .. Assuming that I've already purchased this "Beta" version, I no longer need to re-purchase the regular retail version once it's out correct?
  17. I wonder when will this F-15 module go regular retail version.. My Rig & Body is ready... ;p
  18. -cichlidfan: Thanks for the sharing.. Regarding the activation key, the customer will be given one unique code that will never expire right? as long as it's registered from one computer..? Also, DCS World automatically updates modules to their current versions correct? No need to buy another set of Activation Keys for each module revisions? == I've decided to postpone my purchase and try for next month instead, because our connection is still inconsistent due to damages in APCN 2 submarine cables.. It seems risky to do an online transaction right now when the connection is slow and inconsistent.... Sorry if I seem to be attention-whoring.. I'll just bookmark this thread as reference.. ^^
  19. Null? oh well.. I guess I'll just go and hopefully don't throw away my money in the process.. Anyway, connection is slow due to some damaged submarine cables to our country.. I just wish users have an option to download via torrent since our connection is slow to begin with and not even ideal for online flying...
  20. Good day all^ I'm about to buy Flaming Cliffs 3 in the coming weeks and I'll admit, I've never bought games via digital download before. I have a Credit Card, specifically a Citibank Visa.. So how do I buy? Also, can the modules be donwloaded through Torrent? I'm using BitTorrent btw.. I assume the downloaded modules can be burned in a DVD for future re-installations, say, Hard Drive change right? Thanks ^
  21. -HiJack: Indeed, I also did additional Googling and it seems that DVI-VGA doesn't bode well.. Perhaps in the coming weeks I'll get myself a decent LED DVI Monitor and see how it goes.. ^^
  22. So I finally managed to grab an ASUS GTX 760 2GB. From 20+ fps on lowest graphics settings, frames made a huge leap to 120+ fps on minimum graphics thus my mean fps now play around 60 to 80... Although I just want to make sure.. when playing with games I noticed some kind of flicker.. or maybe not really flickers but more like "waves", similar to what we usually see when CRT/TV displays are being filmed/recorded on video cameras.. I'm using an old Samsung LCD monitor, 4:3 SD TV format and uses a VGA port.. I'm using a DVI VGA cable for now.. Maybe monitor is the limiting factor?
  23. I'm just not so inclined right now to anything that involves replacing/upgrading more 2 or more hardware pieces.. It's essentially the same as buying another brand new computer.. Not making financial sense since I we just bought this PC recently.. 2nd week of Feb.. Computer parts don't seem cheap in my neck of woods too.. Even the GTX660 line will cost me an arm and leg.. I'm not inclined to Overclock anything since it's bound to shorten the life span of my hardware and probably, the whole PC itself.. Anyway.. based on your inputs, I'll just buy and upgrade into the GTX660 for now.... Maybe if my family wins the local lottery, I can go for a Dedicated Gaming Hardware... ;)
  24. Here are some screen caps.. Proves that my FPS wouldn't go above unless pan my view towards the sky.. Although I'm poised to get myself a GTX660.. I just want to ask again.. With my current PC Specs, will a GPU upgrade help me in attaining at least 30 FPS in normal conditions in a Mission? (Fair amount of cloud cover, moderate amount of aircraft and other AI units, a few SAMs/AAAs) Thanks~
  25. or.. maybe the right context is that, It's quite hard to find gaming hardware at a reasonable price here in the Philippines.. ^^ Stores here would rather sell those Tablet PCs, smartphones and their clones.. Even generic desktop builds are harder to find now, let alone gaming PCs You live in Trece Martires, Cavite? I'm kinda near... Sta. Rosa, Laguna ^
