Good to cya again Hoss. When my AVA base is plug in without stick this what shows up. AVA {R} Viper. I don't know if that is normal without stick. I did the driver package first like you said then when to the Thrustmaster TM Master Flight Folder and did the firmware. My original A-10 stick when it first came out won't recognize which is ok. Tomorrow my new Viper stick is coming really needed a new one and shall see if it can work. I do have a support ticket and surprise they have not answer me. yet. Your squad mate AKA 361st_Stanger

Me Also, I dont know if this is the difference. I got mt Hotas Warthog first day on sale in fact I was one one those the throttle quadrant was bricked and they sent out a new one to me. There might have been a slight upgrade a few years after mine I don't know just guessing. Saturday, I get the new Viper stick and we shall see. My paddle broke on old one so a new one not a bad thing. Even with the A-10 stick out it still sees a Viper stick. Maybe the base defaults Viper not sure.

Amazon has 7 left on the viper stick. I think I am just going to buy one before gone. Thanks all for input.

Thanks for the response. My old A-10 stick still works under the old base. When I sit in the AVA Base it is recognize as AVA {R} Viper. Axis works but no buttons. Thanks for response the pins are not bent.

System recognizes AVA Base but not the stick. Researching now.

Help out an old retired man. I have been flying this sim since Lock On and have most modules and maps. Flew props before that. I bought the Wart Hog Hotas when it came out and it still use it today. Loved the A-10 so I will keep the original stick and decide to mount it on the new base and keep the throttle. I like to go back to my roots and fly props more and I have the Corsair. Long story short any recommend setup for WW2 birds? I will still fly A-10 from time to time but 90% props. Thanks all for your gracious time.

I hope you are doing well my friend. I know things did not end like we would want it to be. I still have my stuff from all those times we were all together for a week each year. Those were great fond memories we had. Take care my friend and blue skies always.

nullI enjoy the P-47 for mud moving. I am really a ground pounder, knuckle dragging by heart. lol P-47 dropped a lot of ordinances in Marianas. Add the Corsair and we have a long time of dedicated fun. Would be fun flying with you with a carrier. I just had to link my best life achievement in lasting out in the carrier trap competition. With the pacific coming to DCS this year from what I heard, let's get together and fly some. I am now getting some more flight time in P-47 on Normandy 2.

I bought the Afghanistan map back in April and glad we got the update. I want to get some rust off in ILS landings. I see in some posting ILS is not working in some bases. Are there any airports with ILS working? Thanks for your input.

I will buy first day. I have personnel interest in this. I knew and talked to a pilot that flew P-47 in Normandy ground pounding. He gave me his photos to retouch for him since I had Photoshop. I also have the skin of his plane in DCS world to fly. Pilot name is Ernie Sprouse flying P-47 name Glady's after his wife and flew for the 512th Fighter Squadron. Link to the website. If the Targeting Pod is on the right wing is it best to go counterclockwise or clockwise to search out targets? I have forgotten and getting back in A-10 on Afghan. Thanks.

Hello everyone, I have been away and want to get back flying props. I made a mission so I can practice rockets and bombs at a base. I set up some planes, flak and AAA to shoot defenses. I place them around base to what I think it is easy to see. I was wrong. I see tracers so I go in and have to guess where they might be and never really see them. It seems they are so small and blend in with the ground. I have a 32 inch monitor with of 3440 x 1440 native resolution. Any suggestions to help my ground pounding. I would rather not use DOTS but I may have too. I fly P-51 and P-47. I fly mornings so I get those nice looking contrast Spudknocker recommends. I don't think this issue is map specific, but I thought this was best place to post this.

I was thinking not so much for me to fly but it might draw some new prop heads in the game and lead them to buy the modules especially with a free Mariannas map. I have all prop planes and many other modules. I started with Lock on and Flaming cliffs when it started. Ooops I checked in store I already have Flaming Cliffs 3. Thanks for your time in answering my thought.

Wish props were in Flaming cliffs. I would pay for that even I have all paid modules now.
