I also forgot to mention that I got F-5E too and that I am looking for EU(UK) based group. Basicaly anywhere from Balkan to Norway and UK and anything in between Still My main frame is JF-17.

I saw many of their tutorials and for some it looke dlike they just wanted to get over with. In that cace it would be better to just not do any guide as that is not usefull. And for contrast, for some planes they go in loads of details, that you actually need in order to learn frame properly. I do have CHuck guide on my desktop and it is my "go to" place for details, but sometimes you just need to see and listen to detailed explanation "on the go" in video which is much better than any text. But Chuck's guide is awsome base for study that is true. I did dismis that Rudel's guide I admit, due to saying him itself that they are obsolete,b ut in all reality I should do it. I still am trying to figure out why I can't use 802 AK and AKG propperly. My guess is that one of updates changed something that I am missing or as per usual I, again, forgot some important detail in weapon setup XD. Still I must say that whole process even with all fails is great guide to get comfy with plane. I am already focused on this frame and I plan to.

Thank you for tip, but I did already bought JF-17 and I love it. SO far I figured pout I can click most non essential stuff on MFCD's so you realy do not need much more buttons than any other plane out there.

I would love to have propper training missions in game for this one. With so many weapons and we can only train dumb bombs .

Hello I am still new and this might be by my error but still. I did my training mission (Cold start). Yesterday was all fine, but today I got this on my screen. I followed all steps in guide to the letter so, since yesterday was all fine but today is not, I presume it is new bug. Below is screen shot of HUD

I also got one more question. I just tried to do cold start from memory and after some fiddling i managed to start up almost everything apart from my HUD whisch looked like on picture. I would apreciate tip or idea where i did wrong. I did have shard aligned did fast INS alignment and entered my coords, all buttoms on AAR (except top row) were on. I also updated data after rearming, loaded all too. Basicaly, no matter what I clicked hud did not wanted to get to classic state with all relevant data. Any help is apreciated.

So far I used classic 1,2,3 and 7 for master modes and I used hat for tdc, zoom on hat + left modifier and some others, most of those I do use on other planes. But I need to make cheatsheet so i can remeber easily

Cool. I do need to practise that much more. I got new question. I just tried to complete that last training mission (ship attack via 802AK, but thing kinda failed. True, it did hit ship, but wrong one. I ddi set to DST 30 which goes arround carrier, but both missles went directly to carrier and attacked him. I did another run just to double check if I misclicked ship on radar, but I am almost positive that I did not. ANother thing that confuses me is fact my target was 80 miles away and my radar range is up to 40? So how on earth i was able to see 2 ships on sea? I am not sure if i did something wrong there. I went for DCT, DST was 30, low flying and rest were as guide suggested. I did tried COO too, but that removed target coordinates from missle setup.

That sounds simple enough. I guess rest of stuff can be set on MFCD's and panels? Hmm, Mayne I did overcomplicated my setup then xd.

Ok. I think I know where problem lies. I was on metric system for some time and I forgot about it. I will switch to imperial and start to practise flying. I also tries bombing. I love CCIP, bot CCRP sucks big time unless I can carry like 8000 lbs bomb? Just kidding, but it still sucks. That brings me to my next question. I use my only pow hat for slewing TDC but damn thing is very fast and makes very unprecise movements so almost impossible to use. Is there any method to slow down slewing? I saw some settings under special menue if I remeber well.

Loads of controls are a bit confusing so i will ask for more help. Are same controls (slewing) used for radar as for ground attack pod?

Is it just my bad landings or landing gear in Thunder is extremely fragile?. Alo, what is recomended speed at touchdown. I was with flaps out at 160 and my back wheels got bent at touchdown. That sounds a bit extreme ain't it?

I am 45 yo, I own A-10A, F-5, M2000C, KA-50, SU 27 and just freshly bought JF-17 which I plan to focus on, so i am looking for squadron that would apreciate pilot with decent experience in DCS but everlasting poor A/A fighter (with will to learn). Hello. As title says. I am planning (or thinking) to get JF-17 but I only use Thrustmaster Hotas X joystick which is not great with amount of buttons and only one hat. So Can this plane be flown with this only? usualy on my M2000C I use two modifiers, one on stick and one on throttle. I also got Logitech throttle quadrant for some 6 non essential buttons.

Thanks for tips. Unfortunately current graphics card will stay. It has too. Memory will get upgraded and I plan to reinstall game to D:/ disc so it can be used only for dcs. Also I did make an exception for dcs, but I am not sure did I make it for whole folder or not. Anyway, back to tweaking.

Lol. true. In a month of two will be 32 gb I hope. I got 30 mbit connection, not fiberoptics but decent. ping is ranging from 25 to 70 . I don't go above that. Ill try to lowe some settings if I can I guess.

I run at 1920 x 1080, pagefile is 32 gb I think and in single player it is all fine and dandy. Some servers are ok, but some are very bad. I switched pagefile from auto to manuat at 32 gb on both ssd's. my current idea is to try reinstall game to D drive. Also when i look up dcs.exe in task manager I see it usses all threads. I think I saw somwhere that it is beter to set it to run only on 6 6 main cores and not on 12 threads so I presume those would be 0,2,4,6,8 and 10?

Hello all. So as title says I got some stuttering and preformance issues when on multiplayer. System itself is already optimised to the max as it is, so now I will try to optimise game itself. Here are my system specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 16 gb RAM (DDR 4 i think) 2 separate 500 gb SSD GTX 1070 TI I also use: Thrustmaster T FLight Hotas X and Logitech throttle quadrant (for some spare buttons). Usualy I get smooth game even on a server with sudden game stutter (game freezes for couple of seconds and even more). That as it goes usualy happens when it is totaly inapropriate. my current settings are low, almost minimal (video settings). I am open to suggestions as I ran out of ideas. SO far I did couple of reinstalls, minimised amount of services as I could, cleaned, repaired and maintained system , I also omited game folder from scanning in windows defender (suggestion I saw somwhere). I am aware that 16 gb is minimum RAM true and that is in plan to expand to 32 gb but It will have to wait and I am trying to make mylife easier untill then. Thank you for any advice, or question

Hello. I am in love/hate relationship with this plane. I will admit that I think I made mistake when I bought this module years ago. It was complicated for me even then and nowdays it is even worse. I own T FLight Hotas X joystick. I know it is not much but I can't afford new so that is that. Without going into my poor skills or any other reason I do wan't to like this plane (I meant on control and flying) but controls nowdays are so messed up that I always lost when I try to practise. I am even not sure are training missions work nowdays. SO, can someone help me if you use same joystick for flying M2k, how did you setup controls? I would apreciate any help as I am not even sure what controls are "must have" to be able to use this plane. TO simplify things I would also apreciate link to good and current guide for M2k aswell. Thank you
