About Casual Flyers Hello pilots. I am guessing that by now you noticed that you just can't hop in your light attack airplane go on regular big servers and expect to be competitive. Usualy nowdays in DCS it is obvious domination of 4th generation of airplanes. That is why I started Casual Flyers group. We are here using only Albatros, Hawk and Aerojet from Dcs planes selection. We fly helicopers too since they are also almost non existent in regular servers. So u san use here Huey, Gazelle, Mi 8 and KA 50. Idea is to adjust missions to be doable with those planes, training missions with several zones as some kind of default mission. And when we see fit we can make special one. At time being this group is just created so there is no dedicated server and there will be none for sure untill ED fixes multiplayer bugs and make dedicated Dcs server aswell. So untill then we will share our games between members. We are EU based group so expect some "usual" flying times starting from 17 up to midnight GMT time. That don't mean that you can't hop on chat in 9 in the morning and open up server and fly. If you are in DCS voice channel it means that you are flying and have opened multiplayer game, or waiting for someone to opne one (if you can't due to local network). I would like to have chat with interested pilots on voice before you get accepted as member. I must note here that this is loosly organized group and we do not have any special requirements apart group rules wich are just common sense ones anyway. You are totally free to be in dozen of other groups aswell, hop in as you see fit and go out as you see fit. No obligations of any kind and there will be no remving members due to inactivity. Only time that someone might get banned is when rules are seriously disobayed. When you fly with other group members rules are simple. Do not shoot anything on friendly airports on purpose. Hello guys. I am glad to see that there are interested pilots out there. I was thinking this morning and decided to go with it but for time being without dedicated server due to all well known reasons. From recent experience shared multiplayer games wored very nice for smaller groups especially for casual flyers, which is btw. group name :) I prepared whole text about it and already opened up discoord channel. I do hope that one ED fixes multiplayer and give us permanent and propper server, that things will go to better.

Dietrich, you are on right track here. I don't think we will set up 24/7 server but game can be hosted in usual flight time (eu area). It is nightmare to type via cellphone, so i will be more elaborate afternoon.

Hello all, Out of the blue...How many of you would be interested to be part of group that soley use Light attack planes (L-39, Hawk and C-101) and maybe Helicopters? Usualy hosted missions and casual fun in DCS. Any input is apreciated and if you preffer not to answer publicly, feel free to send Private message. Edit: Casual Flyers group is "formally" formed, based in EU. See details in post 7.

Update: I had no peace so I scrambled totaly fresh mission and placed ole ZA on parking with engines off. I added in game 4 S-5 weapon pylons and tried to took of with one notch of flaps. I got same issues as before. So Now I am even more confused. I can fly ZA on other servers but not in solo game? or on my server?. I am short of getting nuts here. I know that there is a lot of bugs. But that think with all controls on neutral with onyl throttle full forward and it pitch up almost on start..maybe at 40 kmh and it pitch up my itself up to tail strike on ground. Well I wait for ideas some time and then off to devs...this plane was not cheap to do that .

Here is update... First time I was hosting a game. No lag all fine and dandy..but me and my wingman had same issues there. SO I presume it is some akward setting done in mission editor since only L-39 ZA had that issue. :( later on we went onto another friends hosted game and all was pitch perfect. Controls are separate and i had them redo from start. That is ok now. ALso trimming did work on other server but not on my hosted game. Planes were set to start from parking hot, set on client with 4 pylons of S-5's. On moth server same loadout and takeofff setting. One had issues, other not. Also, mirage is just fine... Maybe mission editor also has some bugs..dunno..Or I am most likely missing some settings in editor. I wonder can i upload mission file so you can check it out?

Hello guys. I bought Alby couple of days agon and love it. Today I started to fly with ZA variant and quickly noticed few "issues" with takeoff and landing. I am not sure is it a bug, flying characteristic of plane or what but with higher payload is even more prominent. So to keep it short, plane opn take off and landing like to pitch up EXTREMLY heavily and I needed to counter that on take off with almost full forward push of my Joystick. I thought emediatelly of problem wioth joystick but then all was fine couple days ago with mirage and other planes I got. So any info is more than welcome and also I maybe missing something special I need to do before takoff GC (balance) wise... EDIT: I also forgot to add that it seems that on ZA variant my elevator trim is not working...that is kinda weird... Any help is apreciated.

Ok guys I figured it out (how to enter port forwarding) SO I added same 10308 port to TCP and UDP and it worked like a charm. Even my PC handled nicely 4 planes...:thumbup: ..and some targets...cool

Ok. So it seems that I have all set correctly in my firewall. Only thing needed is to check modem. I have speedport W 724V. I hope that it helps. I also see port diversions and forwarding section.

Hello guys. I hope I am at right place. Now, I want to host a game for a couple of friends, nothing special, just simple mission for practice. Nowm what I do need to have enabled on my PC (network wise) to be able to host game and that my friends can join in. I am aware of need for powerfull PC, but I wanted to check cant I at least host simple missions. So what I need is Firewall settings, network settings. maybe even router (modem) settings and things like that. We tried it last night and my friends usually got kicked out to main server selection screen. All help is apreciated.

So I guess I picked wrong plane. Hmm, and i well I wont say hate but I do dislike A-10C so that leaves me with like nothing for A/G role? :(

Hello all. I am trying to perfect my Mirage capabilities (A/G) but so far I suck. I guess bombing can be perfected by repetition and that is all fine (getting better there). problem arose when I started to practise on server. Now there I cant see where enemy units on ground are (lacking radar i guess) so my first question is: How the hell you see anything on ground, especially in late afternoon or evening? Second question is for part when you need to GTFO there and I usually get hit by Tunguska (is is S3 system?) . As I then went to read a bit I realised that Mirage have missle detector as for radar missles so for IR ones if it can see heat signature. Also , does anyone knows how long is this system warming up ? So i guess second question is more like, plea for help and tips on how not to get shot down by ground based missles. :( I will try to get more precise if needed.

Thanks. I guess I will wait and see implementation of dedicated server. Today I tried to connect and after I pressed connect, went off to drink a bit of water, shaved my beard, took a snack and returned to wait another couple of minutes of loading main game just to be greeted with game freezes every coupkle of miles. SO yea, lot of great planed in dcs but boy they need to sort out that server/multiplayer/memory thing. Again Thanks for reply. I will monitor game news I guess

Thanks for offer. i am interested. Since then I changed my point of view so to speak and decided to fly only planes i like most and that would be two of those which i do not own atm L-39 and hawk. Now it is not too big deal to buy, but I just rediscovered that multiplayer nowdays is just horrible laggy mess. Is it better for you (maybe some closed server or something) ? I get any of those two planes but if I would get into that laggy mess i know i would just be mad on myself so I would apreciate some short info on multiplayer lag issues nowdays .

It looks like history repeats itself. I think i asked a month or more ago about the same thing here. Is it really that nobody using those light attack planes in their missions. Since i am not sure would I use L-39 or Hawk, main reason to take one of these would be if i could fly it with groups on multiplayer. I know that you are all nowdays on new hottest F (15+) planes but I do hope that there are people out there that do fly light planes. Still waiting...

Hello all, I was off game for some time due to sheer boredome of playing solo and I started to look for groups. I have M2000, Ka-50 and SU-27. Of those I fly mostly M200C, but I admit that i am unhappy with all of my planes so I plan to get L-39 which is my favorite plane by far (I am also interested in hawk too if there are groups that fly them). So i know this is a long shot, but is there any group that fly L-39 on regular basis in missions? Anyway, feel free to PM me or something. My IGN Tommy75

Spare Time pilots are ok guys but they then to fly mostly planes. I planned to fly ka50 and Mi 8 when it gets on sale next time.

Well that might be tricky XD...I am GMT +1. My general idea was to form small group so we can do heli missions , i am guessing mostly KA 50's. Hopefully someone will have PC capable of hosting a game. I see a lot of servers where I can hop in in KA 50 but main issue is that it is PVP or good AI so my Cas missions get stopped very abruptly. I am usually making my own missions and fly them. last one I made small ammo bunker site guarded by sams (not sure now which I picked XD but ones with shorter range) and some tanks as well to be taken down by KA 50 , hopefully in flight or two. For potential squad leaders, I wanna point out again that I do not plan to join any squad with "test" reguirements to do something. I like to practise and learn as anyone else but this is a game after all and I plan to have fun. Skipping missions just cos I did not passed some test is not fun. SO any less serious group EU based that could use support of KA 50 I would love to join if you are on the fun side. Well I am guessing that you understand what i am seeking.

Training missions now works. Not sure was it due to version update, game reinstallation or long pressing keys but it works and I finally learned more about abris lol!

Hello all My last thread where i look for squadron got too messed up so i created this new one if you don't mind. Last couple of weeks I am dedicated to KA 50 and I do enjoy flying it. But here in EU there are no groups that are dedicated to those helicopters, at least not known to me. Therefore I was wondering is here in EU any more Ka 50 solo pilots, who would be interested in flying missions together sometimes or even create group dedicated to Ka 50 ? I sincirelly hope that I am not only one. Feel free to PM me. Tommy
