Thank you for help. In mean time I did some more flights and came to conclusion that I got hit by nearby enemy area or I hit something on long takeoff roll. Other times all was ok. I also noticed that you do need altitude for best firing solutions. So far I am flying by hand but I did notice that plane like to slightly roll to right if I am correct, which is annoying and I am out of trim buttons by now so I guess reprogram will take place. I used mostly Mavericks , D version for now and realised only later that range is 7 nm (lol), I am also still failing with bombs but It will take time for me to get used to new shortcuts on joystick. Anyway, see you in game and off to practise.

Hello guys! I just bought this awsome bird and I would love to know it a bit better, so I got some questions for you. 1) What are preffered weapons to use in this? 2) What are you preffered axis curve settings (I started on 16 on all three of them)? 3) On my first takeof I got master alarm. I was playing on Havoc server and took off from Senaki Kolki and went for usual "X" for some target practise. I was a bit owerweight, but I saw on youtube that other players do this aswell. So I am guessing that I got hit with missle from that middle difficulty target area or I did something wrong on takeoff. my routine on takeoff was this: 1) Power 2) Left engine 3) Right engine 4) APU shutdown automatically as I heared 5) Flaps on first position and takeoof after long run at 170 Kn. Then as usual gear up and flaps in. I got emediatelly painted ba some radars, I also did hear something that sounded like I am shot at, but I am unsure (new plane XD) Anyway. As you might gues by now I do love this simpler version of A-10C and I do aprecialte any help and tips :)

I did actually a bit reading from manual and I discovered that M2k onboard computers it rather flimsy garbage, so if you select too many A/G ordinance types along with M530D, onboard computer go wild. That is why my weapon selector went beserk. I did my accident ran onto this special selector in settings and i added it to my HOTAS. i hope that it will help. Thank you for tip. I do hope that someone might find this info usefull. it does say so in manual, but it is easily overlooked if you "read" like me XD.

I was about to ask for same thing, but as I see this I only wanted to ask where is this special button? I also noticed that I dont see yellow mark if I want to select bombs.

On Our server mission, Hueys start with M60s. I like Miniguns so I rearm before flight and after that they refuse to work. I can confirm that it does not work after rearming in free fire mode (did not test return fire) , be it on server or solo play. SInce I used this feature before very nicely and it was working fine, my best guess is that it is fresh bug most likely. Do something guys.. I love this Heli! :cry:

Hello all. I started to fly a bit A-4E and I am not sure on how to aim with Shrike missles and with rockets. It looked to me that sometimes it locks on onto radar and sometimes it is not. So any help with targeting is apreciated.. Also if there is more precise guide on those topics for A-4E I would aprecaite link.

We expanded our planes list so we can have added fun and now we also fly, SU-27, Harrier and Viggen. Our default practise mission is also expanded so you have several attack areas depending on type of planes you wanna choose. See you in game and Casual Flyers wish you Happy New Year! :pilotfly:

Took down curves on collective to 0 and left rudder to 15 to have more precise control and it works nicely. Also new approach to landing is never let plane go below 5 M/S (think it is righ measure) and it worked. as soon ad my VS deops below 1 I know I am doomed. Now I need to fly more and practise. (I hope they will fix crashing bug son) I love flying with huey.:(

At the moment I am trying to learn avoiding too fast aproach to runway on landing :lol: , and as part of that process I wanted to ask what is curvature settings you can recomend me (I guess i wan't ones that would make my life easier while flying and landing) At the moment, both of my cyclics are at 20 and rotor at 30 . I wonder if there is any better settings for it. I have Thrustmaster Hotas X. Thank you

I am thinking to make a kind of "semi permanent server" if that makes any sense. Game would be hosted at afternoon hours couple of times a week up to say midnight for public use.Since I don't have much experience with that I wanted to also ask if there is (besides LA pilots) good and experienced mission maker that would be willing to join me on our discord for short tutorial on switches and triggers, so i could make more interesting missions for that "server". I am guessing that it won't be overly capable since I need to host game on my PC and I could use some experience thoughts there too if there is any. Thank you

Hello guys. After some extensive bombing testing I came to conclusion that best bet is 4 x 250 kg bombs. Fuel should be not abive 65% if I remember well due to max takeoff weight.Set targeting wheel at 10, Altitude was rather lowly aproximate 1000 ft. For added "precision" (better spread) I used "Train" setting to get wider spread. Gyro as usual is set to fixed position. Make very shallow dive at full throttle (which is slow enough already anyway lol) just as your piper pass target so you don't get more steep that 10 degrees down and drip your bombs when your middle dot is exactly on target. What i also found out is that you need to pre align your direction so that your piper marker pass directly over target. Usualy even tiny wobbles before dropping bombs will make you miss. I saw several benefits this way, you get spoted late if you fly very low...like treetop low and then rise to 1000 ft before attack. Second, you are already at decent speed to make yourself harder target. Also best chance to not get shot is to wiggle like snake with full throttle and flying level and low. One note, I might be a bit wrong on altitude on this since I drew data from memory. I hope it might help you. It is not "by the book" but it worked for me.

Hello pilots. I am guessing that by now you noticed that you just can't hop in your light attack airplane (make that 3rd gen or older :) go on regular big servers and expect to be competitive. Usualy nowdays in DCS it is obvious domination of 4th generation of airplanes. That is why I started Casual Flyers group. We are here using only 3rd gen aircraft or older ones (Albatros, Aerojet, Mig-15, Viggen, F-5). We also fly helicopters too (Huey, MI 8, Gazelle and KA 50) since they are also almost non existent in regular servers. Idea behind our group is in casual flying but with challenge if one so wants and enough stuff to do when you just feel like flying. Big news is that we now running our server 24/7 for members. Server is privately hosted in USA and we are starting to get more pilots other side of Atlantic. On it we for now run custom mission, which is work in progress. theme is as always LA planes, helos and new addition are cold war planes (MIG 21, Viggen and F-5). I must note here that this is loosely organized group and we do not have any special requirements apart group rules which are just common sense ones anyway. You are totally free to be in dozen of other groups aswell, hop in as you see fit and go out as you see fit. No obligations of any kind and there will be no removing members due to inactivity. But I would like to have chat with interested pilots on voice before you get accepted as member. Only time that someone might get banned is when rules are seriously disobeyed. I was thinking about that bombing runs of mine and realised that i am unsure about 2 things. 1) When you roll and dive, do you use rudder for correction of flight path? 2). What curve settings do you use on your main axis (pitch, roll, rudder)? Thank you.

Casual Flyers are freshly formed group with light attack airplanes in mind. We are loosely based group and we don't mind if you are member of other squadrons as well. Feel free to hop in on out discord channel and fly with us. We are sharing game in multiplayer, no dedicated server for now (due to well known reasons). Rules are rather simple and in short, you are welcome unless you are troublemaker. :) We Fly L-39, Hawk and C-101 mainly but our games also offer flying for all helicopters out there. Missions are adjusted to fit light attack plane abilities. Anyway, if you are fond of light attack planes and you don't have place to use it, come to us and fly. Casual Flyers

Ok, one more question. How the hell did you made your textures look so sharp? Mine are totally blurry despite having 1024 everyframe set in game

Nice tips..I actually never thought to set infinite ammo for targeting practise runs. I love that vid it is nice and very informative. ANd that actual dive is what I was reading in guides 8official one and Chucks) but you never know untill you see it in action.

Hi guys. I wonder, maybe you know. Is there on youtube guide or at least video with L-39 ZA bombing aproach, roll dive and all that goes with bombing. I wanna get better at it but to be able to see it visually how it is done would help greatly. I could also use suggestion about axis curves for joystick. I use Thrustmaster Hotas X. my current setting is at about 30-ish for all.
