Did the F-16 sink in water in Falcon 4? I don't remember
-
I did wait a long time for this kind of simulation and too early gave Longbow 2 away as I thought it won't work with XP. Found out too late that there is a workaround. Then, when I got notice about the Black Shark project some while ago, I searched every information about it and kept tracking it. I liked it very much that the developers and testing team kept with us and gave us lots of information about the standing of the project, videos, the manual earlier and so on. I too was so happy that finally someone helped me to get this simulation before the official box release comes out, and now I can spend some time in my holidays to work with the sim. 'really like the product, no big issues so far and I am impressed about the complexity of the helicopter and it's systems. Too use it correct and get best results out of it I still need to learn a lot the next time. Thank you to everybody who worked and still works on Black Shark and the DCS series! You have done great work

I have no problems with my Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals so far. I just have set them up allright in tht Windows control center (deadzones) and in the Simulation settings too.

Actually the insurance will ask you this question and send you the invoice ;) To get back to the topic: So you are complaining about the behaviour of the Ka-50 in the simulation relating it's uplift or non, in water? Actually I don't think real helicopter pilots were trained to land in water but maybe recommended to use the ejection seat. Even if they consist partly of light compostite materials and should be able to stay at top of the water. I wouldn't try to land on water and manually get out of the cockpit already because water and electricity don't really fit together and would not like trying to test the fuses. 400Hz, capacitors... And as water is not a solid ground and water not always flat - especially when a helicopter just dropped in, I wouldn't think that I could open the door before the damn helicopter would flip to the side suck me down with it into the wide open sea. So when I think about that, I don't give much about the non simulated behaviour of the helicopter in water the same like I don't give much about the non ability of ships to slide when they run onto the beach or cars to spin when they crash into the sea, or metal to glow when a bullet just hit. In my opinion you are complaining about something not helicopter, flying or ground combat related.

Hmm, Grodin - what might the ejection seat be for? Never saw someone make an emergency landing on water with a helicopter because they sink and the pilot might drown, lacking the possibility to get out of the aircraft. It's the same reason why cars don't park in lakes, rivers or in the sea. :megalol:

Hello and welcome to the forum! You should use a download manager, so use can resume the download. Here's a list of software that can help you: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Download-Manager

Hello, EvilBivol-1! Great helicopter. I just wonder why they both look so similar, the Ka-50 and the Ka-52
-
Hm, they are discussing shooters and other games on the xbox360 there at the moment. Think the BS part is over :( Great news about the boxed version, anyway :)
-
Darn, missed it too :/

I think he has the dust covers still activated, so the engine has reduced power due to less oxygen. That's why the engine dies on his helicopter in high altitude.

It's all well described in the Quick Start manual.

What altitude have you been? It seems you must be at least above 2000m to receive the broadcast station.
-
UHF-2? AM? Turned music off in Settings?
-
Seems to be an OS, memory or hardware related error.
-
Turn off automatic restart and post the blue screen code, as mentioned above. Then we can loock further into your problems.

Thank you

I would say one at a time, because one activation works only on one computer. Changing the hardware or reinstalling requires an activation too if not deactivated. Am I right?

Questions from a new follower on the DCS series...
Airway replied to ESzczesniak's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Hello Eric and welcome to the Forum ! As far as I know (and I might be wrong) the boxed version might be out around march - maybe earlier, as the release of the english download version was a surprise too, maybe later. Depends on authorities too. As future module it is planned to release the A-10 but I don't give a second thinking about it, because Black Shark is just out, and time is now to get familiar with it and enjoy it. Vista vs XP: It's your choice. Some missions are recommended in XP but in Vista you can manually activate a second or more cores to run DCD.exe if you can profit from more than one core in your processor. Black Shark has no DirectX10, there are at all only a few DirectX10 titles in general, so Dx10 is no pro for Vista. To speak for myself, I am running Vista64, everythings smooth and fine. All these point may differ with a different point of view but however you might consider - DCS: BlackShark is a great title and very challenging. -
Would be nice if the Buran pulls the 6 enginer (what is it?) away from the earth instead otherwise round. :D Then you'd have won the impressive loadout picture event :D

Is there a limitation of files and filesizes? Was not mentioned in the readme file.

Thank you for your reply ! Didn't even notice that I can listen to "broadcast Radio Mayak" with R-800 radio receiver (UHF-2, 125675 KHz, AM) :D
