Honestly, terrible idea. In fact one of the worst I have seen on here ED need to give us a dedicated server exe that allows use of all terrains without paying for them ED could quite easy make it so you can ONLY host and not fly on such a set-up No one in their right mind would pay just for a server exe, it is just insane

This could be easily implemented by a start up command line switch eg dsc.exe -server This could lock any slots , so that no one could click on them (to play) and also give use server hosters access to the terrains, after all ED are using their own DRM now

ED are pretty "unique" in this respect, even now they have their own DRM and it would cost the ZERO MONEY to gift dedicated server hosters a copy of this Terrain they do NOT do it ... pretty sad to be honest I pointed out the fact that gift this to dedicated server hosters might even help out in increasing the sales of Persian Gulf when I messaged Nineline and Wags .....

Nope, ED decided to retro actively do it on everything One of the guys I know is asking for a refund on all his modules due to this change

luckily “system managed size” is the default when windows is installed, so unless someone changes it, most people will be ok

I PMed both Wags and NineLIne about this, a request to have a server only license for Persian Gulf ........ NO Response So sadly ED do not want to support MP hosters even though it will cost them nothing

my own copy is also flaggin ERROR WorldPlugIns: Failed to read serial number for 'PERSIANGULF_terrain' but I clearly own it on both accounts and I am able to use it on my gaming PC Still wont work on the server tho ....

does the same thing happen if you try to enter the editor using PersianGulf ?

You really should just buy a better cooler and overclock that 2600K to 4.5Ghz or so

say u were smart and decided to download the Persian Gulf now on your home server PC and then copy it onto your gaming PC when you got home from work Thus making it easier to copy from one PC to another and saving another 13G of network traffic for the web
