  1. I am trying to debug why so many clients seem to get timeout when connecting to MP servers. Can I get some info on how the mission is downloaded to the clients ? What port does it use, is there any limiting of how fast it can transfer the mission ? Is there any way of optimising this (a config change etc)? Any ideas from our software creators ?
  2. No I don't think so Bignewy, the mission had been running for ages (4hrs) spawning stuff without issue Just to be clear, the same mission in 2.5.0 did not have this issue Server gets restarted every 6 hrs
  3. Indeed it did effect many servers a week after I reported it .. when they updated to the same build I had been running for a while Just trying to get ahead of this one dude

I defo get that Bignewy, it is a bollocks to track, but none the less it is defo an issue Last time I reported an issue like this was several months ago in another Beta I was kinda ignored, one week later you guys moved that patch into release and on that very same day every server started to crap itself a lot, MP was crippled with that patch for ages See this thread -> https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=194085 It took ED to host a large MP session with debug running to get to the bottom of it (the great ED MP test of 2017)
  5. It is not a crash as such the UI freezes, when you try and click in the window, you get the above message Log just keeps logging ..... then stops, UI freezes, game over man .... game over 2018.04.27_8.51.dcs.zip

  7. I steam possibly trying to re-install (to the original location) after you moved it maybe ? How did you move it ?
  8. So to re-cap, DCS has now gotten more ineffecient or uses more resources than before Missions designers need to use less resources in their missions .... but ED has no idea of what these limits are ?
  9. I wonder if making a junction point link in Program Files to point Program Files (x86)/DCS World folder would be a work around ? Open a DOS window as admin cd /D C:\Program Files mklink /J "DCS World" "../Program Files (x86)/DCS World" In windows explorer go to C:\Program Files\DCS World\bin right click on DCS.exe -> select Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut) Try running you new desktop shortcut and see if that works ?

  12. +1 I have witnessed the crate levitating in the air several times see this thread for some screen shots of it https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205934 player 1 sees cargo on ground (the silver tank to the right) Player 2 on the server sees the same cargo floating the the sky (silver tank in the sky)

  14. Our server will has a batch file that only allows people to connect after the server is fully up and running (mission loaded and ready for players)

  17. Silly question about mini gun ... If a person not in that slot does AI mini guner take over ? and if so how do I control him (hold fire etc)

  19. Interesting, though IRL a pilot could indeed himself put on a pair of NVG's onto his helmet anyway ? I like others have posted on this very thread would like NVG for all variants, there is nothing to stop people who want moar realism from ...... not using them by not pressing the NVG button when flying at night That would be a simple way to keep both parties satisfied
  20. One of the variants has NVG, the others do not, I would prefer if the dev would give us a decent reason for why they are resistant to doing this
  21. Ah well thats is a shame, so we will have to edit the config file ourselves to enable NVG for all variants then, bit of a shame you guys cannot do that

  23. Are you wanting to home in on something ... in single player or multiplayer ?
  24. If you are very lucky you might get away with buying more of exactly the same type (make and model) of RAM and to 16G When I tried that a few years ago it did not work and I ended up having to sell both 8G kits and buying a single 16G kit
  25. Best of my knowledge multi GPU = no improvement Compare the IPC of your current CPU and the 2700x to see if it worth it DCS is pretty much single threaded so more cores aint gonna help you
