  1. Interesting! I love my PIMAX 5k plus will try this but I don't use Steam at all when playing DCS in VR
  2. Same issue for me - it was working great a few patches ago. Server is running but I can't manage it at all
  3. Yes and not all of my group has access to the actual server which means changing, adding missions, restarting etc falls back on someone having to edit the lua and put the mission you wasn't run in the #1 spot. It was working great a few patches ago!
  4. The server is up and running however the GUI doesn't see the server so you can't add or change missions without editing the lua - this is a pain!
  5. Agreed, I wish they hadn't stated that it had been done and ready on the Caucus and PG maps and would be rolled out. Expectation was set which leads to disappointment. I don't want them just releasing stuff just because, if its not ready
  6. Very few games use 4 cores as its not an easy thing to change or put into software. Multi Cores help with multi tasking however when it comes to gaming speed is king not cores. I do agree it would be nice but it would mean a huge project in the scale of going form DCS 1.5 to DCS 2.5
  7. I would like to know if there is a fix for Tacview delay as well. I had seen a script when the server first came out but it never worked for me
  8. Yes I am running the OPenBeta server and since the update I cant get to it via the webgui at all
  9. Thanks Wags appreciate the update and am very excited! I personally show case DCS in VR as it has to be one if not the most amazing VR title! Thanks to you and the team for all your hard work!

  11. Did you go to the Web Gui and add a mission? I had to go to DCS World web page login to my profile and select the server then use the + to add a mission. It took a bit to load it but it did work

  14. I run both versions beta and stable unfortantly both now have the issue.the fact that the large majority of mp servers use beta makes it very difficult for Hornet drivers. ED has been pushing out updates regularly so I am hopefull it will be fixed soon :)
  15. is their a way to pass a variable in the Group.getByName? eg do if Group.getByName('Variable'):getSize() < 1 then mist.respawnGroup('Variable', true) end end
  16. problem is the group is randomly chosen from 4 different groups at which time I assign it the variable RedAir1Grp. I have no idea which group it is. it could be NalAir1, GudAir1, SukAir1 or AdlAir1. When I pass the variable to the group.destroy(RedAir1Grp) - RedAir1Grp being the variable it works and only kills the group that was randomly picked but the respawn does not.
  17. Spoke to soon. it seemed to work the first time string mist.respawnGroup(RedAir1Grp:getName(),true:1 Group doesn't exist It looks like it can't pull the group name from the variable and I don't know what the actual group name is
  18. so I am trying to use variables to deal with some Randomization RedAir1Grp = Group.getByName('NalAir1') - this works Group.destroy(RedAir1Grp) - this works once above sets mist.respawnGroup(RedAir1Grp, true) - this does not Any thoughts? I am new to MIST so I may be off my rocker
  19. having trouble trying to respawn when a group is dead - I am very very very new to this mist.flagFunc.group_dead { units='RedAir1,flag=100, toggle=true,} I get [strin "mist.flagFunc.group_dead {…"]:2:unfinished string near'<eof> I checked to make sure RedAir1 is alive (its set to uncontrolled and present) I know this will be something silly I am missing but ….. Any help would be appreciated
  20. I like to stay on Stable as our group flies MP 99% of the time in different airframes which often gets broken in OB. DCS seems to do their releases very different to other software however and we wait a long time for patches to stable so we end up in Beta. We haven't been able to fly any decent MP missions for a while in OB. We are moving our group back to stable today with the update to stable at least for now.

  22. Okay I am sure this has been asked but I am asking again. I run a ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 2K monitor and do mostly air to air dog fighting. I find it hard to spot targets out past 10 miles. The pilots I fly with are using 27 or smaller monitors at 1080p and can see out to 30ish or more. Does DCS have a recommended spec for monitors? Obviously the size of monitor will change the best resolution but I honestly don't know where to go from here. Money doesn't really matter but I don't want to throw it away for worse results. Anyone recommend a 27 to 24 inch widescreen resolution for best spotting of bandits :)

  24. Our group doesn't use BETA because the MP for us is so unstable. We tried a few times and had so many issues we set a policy of staying with the Stable version which is not ideal but better than having connection issues, freezing and boots in the middle of missions.
