Thank you for your input all ! I updated my BIOS last night, activated "game mode" that overclocks the CPU to 4.8 GHz, and made sure XPM was on. RAM is showing 3200 MHz. The computer has only windows 10 and 2 games installed, no crapware or anything else that might keep the CPU busy. I'll look into it in more details when I get a chance.

Thank you for those information ! Interesting ! How do you look up the TAS ? Using the HDD or going into BVR mode in order to have it on the HUD ? Yes, the SU-27 had missiles on every single pylon. Also, the AOA was quite high because of the speed, generating a lot of drag I guess.. Thank you for your input :)

Using screen, not rift as I am just not able to spot aircrafts with it. Rift is 100% unplugged. Using TrackIR though if that makes a difference. In the Ultimate Argument campaign, every mission starting from Mineralnye Vody is perfectly OK, but once you are starting from Gudauta things get ugly (mission 10 I believe). I believe there are really a lot of units involved.

I did enable it in the RAM when I built my computer. So what is your opinion about my specs and running DCS at "high" settings in AI missions ? Should it run well ? Because that is clearly not the case :)

Yes, stock windows 10. No for XPM, never heard of it. I will look into it. As for DCS, forgot to mention that, absolutely no mods, all original.

Texture is missing and is replaced by default file. Repair your installation, that should do the trick :)

Hello everyone ! I have quite a fast computer : Processor : i7 7700k Graphics : 1080Ti RAM : 32GB @ 3200 MHz Hard drive : 525GB M.2 Monitor : Dell U2711 2560 x 1440 pixels (connected via DisplayPort) Control : TrackIR 5 + Saitek X52 When I play missions with some AI elements (not sure how many, missions are part of the "Ultimate Argument" campaign), display is closer to a powerpoint slideshow than to a smooth experience. Graphics setting are set at "high" auto settings. Not sure if that is related to the latest intel fix that might slow down computers ? Is what I am experiencing "normal" ? Maybe 2.5 will solve this ? If I remember correctly, it wasn't like that before. I did not play with a lot of AI though. Help is appreciated :)

In the missions where I need to escort a "normal" plane like an A-50 awacs, I find myself going in AB in order to keep up while climbing to 9000m. At mil power, it walks away from me during the climb. Is that normal or is the SFM of the A-50 responsible for this ? The Su-27 feels strangely "underpowered" a lot of times at high altitudes.

You stay in control of the aircraft and can pull more G. ASC off is much easier to stall even at high speed.

That's the name of the campaign. Not to threadjack, but is there a "simple" campaign for the Su-27 for beginners ? It is very frustrating to get shot down every single time. A little reward would be motivating :)

Then try to do it with the Su-33 and then the Su-27 again. See if it fixes your problem and report back :)

This may remain a mystery... Tried it in the Su-33, and it's working. Went back to the Su-27, and it is working now. I am so certain that I did it right before... Thank you for solving my problem :)

I did not try that with the Su-33. Will do later. I never changed any key bindings, using all default presets.

Tried it last night too, not working :( Checked the key binding, and it is correct. Can you confirm it should be : RWS {Enter} STT {Backspace} RWS What could be wrong ? I tried repairing the installation, it did not change anything. Strange.

In BVR mode, enter locks on the target specified in the selection box. Back should unlock it. I cannot get this to work. Is there a trick ?

STT tracks only one target only (no antenna scanning) but does not flood the target with RF waves. When the RWR detects RF flooding, it associates this with a launch. An SARH missile needs that RF flooding to track the target. The AMRAAM floods the target in its final approach when it goes autonomous. Someone correct me if I am wrong :)

Does the R-27ET depend on the plane's guidance for initial navigation and then terminal navigation is with onboard thermal sensor ? That would mean it requires a lock in order to close in on the target, and then becomes autonomous.

I believe it means radar + thermal tracking, both systems being on. RL = radar EO = Electro-optical system EORL = both systems active

Will try all that when I have time (my daughter is 11 months old, which makes life interesting lol) and report back. Thank you for your input.
