There is no simple answer, even if you keep posting your question. Bandit in AB or not ? What is the background (sun...) ? What does the maneuvering look like ? What is the aspect angle when the missiles loses track ? and so on. A lot goes into IR missile tracking. Like stated above, the 27T is not very flare resistant in DCS. If this is realistic or not will be very hard to answer as a lot of this information is classified.

Your CPU has 8 cores / 16 threads. Not 16 CPUs. DCS is mainly a single-thread application (I believe a second thread is used for sound). Sadly those multi-thread CPUs are not used well by DCS, which prefers a faster clock for a single thread.

I actually just saw that. I think it is one of the coolest thing I ever saw, and I can only dream of having the skills to build something like that. I'm pretty good working on cars and motorcycles, but completely useless when it comes to wood. That flying coffin is simply amazing.

I used to take my computer out and put it on the dining table, and put it away when done, which basically made it very complicated to fly. I don't think I'll be able to use it a lot more now that everything is in its final location, but I am still very excited, and had to share :) Got a home made gaming seat + Thrustmaster Warthog used locally and put everything together yesterday. Now I need to get the TARGET software to comply with my needs :) Happy flying !

Hi - Wingman always tries to land with me at the end of a mission, so I aim for the left side of the runway. He takes his gear out and everything, but aborts quite close to the ground. I tried to land long, fast, etc... Nothing helps. He always aborts and lands later. Any trick to formation land ? :) Thanks !

Nothing a bench vise, a hammer and a chisel can't do :) I rented mine online, cheap, and I needed it only once either way. Maybe something you could look into ?

My experience = stay away from those builds. It is only trouble, for almost zero gains.

I get the same with the Su-27 also. I see the AWACS in the menu, I can click on it, but the F7 key does not work.

The Su-27 would need more campaigns. It really is a blast to fly.
