DCS Mod: MB-339A/PAN by Frecce Tricolori Virtuali

I'm also messing around a bit and it seems in vr PD 1.2 and msaa 2x and AA 2x i can get quite stable 45 fps but not flying on vegas The image quality in 2.5.1 seems better than previous versions with msaa 2x only but may be it is just an impression. The strange thing is, in my graphics options I only have msaa 2x or 4x. has the 8x disappeared?

Something like x-plane 6 and 7 had I don’t know about later x-planes because i had only 6 and 7 The fly-by camera was very nice because you could rotate around the aircraft while it was flying-by and you could also zoom in and out but there were two zoom functions. One function would zoom the entire world including the terrain and the other would zoom only the aircraft, in practice the second zoom function would moove the eyes of the spectator closer to the aircraft. I hope it makes sense. I’m not trying to compare the two sims or suggesting that this should be copied but may be it could be used as a starting point to develop better external and cinematic views. External cameras are not only useful during a replay or recording, they are very helpful also during gameplay itself,if an external camera is properly done it can contribute to the feeling the aircraft is truly flying

I was just about to write the same F16 seems to be gone?
-
Thanks I will try to install it on 2.5OB as well My question was if there are any news about the mod integration in dcsw But I guess not yet
-
Does anybody have any news on this? This would be very nice indeed in DCSW
-
Sorry I should have been clearer I was meaning.. Why in vr when I go on f2 or any other external camera I don’t see the depth of field effect?
-
Hello everybody As the title says I seem not to be able to see the effects of depth of field when flying in Vr Anybody knows why?

Yes the single point cutter seems the best thing I just watched videos on youtube and it really looks what is needed for this job The problem is that i still don't know if this guy is really willing to do it Today i contacted quite a few in this area and they all said no I don't understand, it seems today you almost have to pray people, i mean, i'm giving you a job to do and money for it....bah Anyway if i start complicating things for him, i am sure he will say no as well So i have to keep things as simple as possible for him, but at the same time i must be quite sure that the bottoming tap way will do the job Will see In the mean time i found another one even closer to me, and i will contact him tomorrow If he doesn't immediately say no at the first question, the second question will be if he can use the single point cutter system Will keep you posted I just don't want to hijack Debolestis discussion thread more than this -

I might have found a metal worker who can fix the thread of my cougar locking nut I'm still waiting for the final confirmation from him but it looks promising. But he said he doesn't have the correct Tap for the job I will buy the tap and he will perform the job, I wouldn't even know from where to start if I had to do it by myself. @Okona, you said it should be a M36x2 Do you know for sure? I'm just crosschecking before buying the tap since it's quite expensive and I want to buy the correct one. Thanks for the help -

Unfortunately it is not fixable anymore because as I said I tried with the dremel all the day Filing initially a little bit, then a bit more, then more, then more And I ended up damaging it even more. I wish I had asked you this before starting to try and fix it by myself Never mind, lesson learned, ask before improvising something... Anyway thanks a lot for trying to help Debolestis -

Thank you for your answer Yes as you say there is no way to fix it with the dremel, i worked al the day on it and i just gave up now. But i had to try. So do you think if i order the plastic one it will work? And do you think is it strong enough to screw down the Cougar grip firmly without braking? Thanks a lot for your help! -

Hello Debolestis Some time ago I ordered from shapeways your hotas cougar locking nut in metal This morning I had a chance to finally try it on my cougar but no joy The two slots were too small compared to the original and needed to be enlarged, but this is not a big deal The real problem is the thread of the locking nut It's not correct and it will not screw on the cougar base. I even tried to correct the thread a little bit filing here and there with my dremel but there is no way, it will not screw. It doesn't matter since the shapeways guys were so nice to offer a refund but I really like this part and I would like to buy a working one Is there any way you could review this part and adjust where needed? on shapeways store it says the part is untested but I just had a look back in this thread and I saw the cougar locking nut mounted and screwed on the cougar base So how come the part is untested? do you have any idea why mine didn't work? Is it possible some printing defect? may be because is metal? sorry for the many questions Just trying to find a solution
