  1. Thanks for the answer Also didn’t know about the 10 degree angle, thanks for that. I’m planning on using a throttle rail as well. What I was wandering is: Having a throttle replica arm, How can Dcs recognise when the throttle is in the cutoff position and when instead it is in the idle position?
  2. @Deano87 If you don’t mind I have a question I know you are planning to put your F16 throttle on an arm replicating the f16 throttle arm. I’m trying to do the same thing. But doing this requires the use of a throttle rail to implement the detents. How do you plan on implementing the idle cutoff detent? I’m scratching my head at the moment..
  3. Do you have parallel reprojection on? It might be that your problem. Parallel reprojection works correctly only with the small and normal FOV
  4. I think this is very useful. I would like to try it but i don't have any win based tablet. Any suggestion on a cheap but good tablet for this application? Thanks
  5. I have the same problem Pm box full I’ve sent the ordering mail anyway I hope that’s ok
  6. Never seen this before either
  7. Yes same problem here I hope there is a fix coming for it
  8. Sorry if this has already been answered but this thread is too big to find answers.. Does anybody know why the shadows flicker so much? It seems antialiasing doesn't work. Is it a pimax thing or DCS thing?
  9. Anybody any idea why with the pimax all the shadows are so flickering? It seems antialiasing doesn't work.. Any thoughts?
  10. Ok I see thanks, didn't know it..
  11. Hello PAC-Man Nice review I had my Pimax 5K+ for few months now and even if not perfect I like it and it is getting better every software update. So the usb-c port under the pimax is for future module expansions, like the hand tracking module Pimax is developing. For what Regards the headstrap I found it very uncomfortable because all the weight was on my nose. It was painful after 10 minutes I solved buying a vive deluxe audio strap, but if you want to mount this on your Pimax you will have to 3D print some adapter pieces. This process is explained on a dedicated forum thread on Pimax forum and you can print them with one of the thousand online printing services. For the face cover I went with an aftermarket product for vive as well. I got it on eBay , and the brand is kiwi design. I’m not sure this is the best you can find but I find it very very comfortable. I chose this one because they give you 3 face cushions of different thicknesses so one can experiment which is best. For what Regards pitools I noticed something in your video. In the Games section of pitools under motion smoothing there should be an option called fixed foveated rendering,I have it and it helps the frame rates but apparently for some reason you don’t have it, I couldn’t see it in your video. You might want to investigate.
  12. Thanks a lot for the answer. Well the aircraft is very well done and it's a joy to fly. From here on with further development and the various systems coming online it can only get better.
  13. I briefly tried the new version. It's beautiful, and the way it flies feels very real specially in ground effect. Can I just ask few questions? I can't use the radionav, I can't switch frequencies because the switches are non clickable. Is this still work in progress or am I doing something wrong? And also on ground when I contact the ground crew there is no option to ask for the air supply, only the elec power is available.. Anyways outstanding work!
  14. May be I'm just saying a stupidity here but what would the reason be for a free new map? There must be a specific reason for it. And what if the Low overhead, high performance is a hint for it? The first vulcan map?
  15. My experience with Pimax 5k+ has been positive so far. Very far from being the perfect headset but it has a lot of potential to become a good headset. I was using the rift before on an older machine. I built a new computer for the Pimax It’s an I7 9700k overclocked to 5.1 ghz, 32 gb ddr4 and Rtx 2080ti With a similar computer if you are willing to compromise on some graphical eye candy you can have a steady 45fps Hopefully the long awaited DCS performance optimisation will make things better. Fov... this for me is the real game changer Sde... much reduced compared with rift but still visible specially looking at the sky God rays... reduced almost to none compared with the rift. Image clarity... night and day compared to the rift but you will have to push steam vr Supersampling up and DCS Ipd up as well but the FPS will go down accordingly. To give you an example i’ve Set Pitools image rendering quality to 2,large Fov, steam Vr SS 100% and DCS IPD 1.5 and the image quality is stunning and crisp but on an empty Nevada mission my FPS can be as low as 25/28 I bought the Pimax on eBay from a backer and when I first received it I could not use it for more than 10 minutes per session due to the very very uncomfortable head strap that comes with it. I bought a vive deluxe audio strap and 3D printed the parts needed to attach the DAS to the Pimax I also changed the face cushion to a ticker one (18mm) and now the headset feels much more comfortable and no more pain to my nose. Talking about distortions, yes they are present to the very edges but to me they are almost unnoticeable and they don’t bother me. The Pimax is not a plug and play headset, you will have to tinker a lot with it but when fine tuned,it works and it works well. I hope I was able to Answer at least some of the questions people might have.
  16. Actually from what I read it works with 1.0 base stations as well Am I wrong?
  17. I can't register to the website because I never got the confirmation email. Any thoughts?
  18. Very nice indeed! Just a heads up Yesterday they updated the f104 version once again I don’t really understand what changed but may be it’s worth checking before you do all this work to find out everything needs to be redone for the next version
  19. Beautiful Can't wait to see it finished
  20. Sta diventando molto bello. Pensi di riuscire a schiarire ancora di piu il nero nella parte anteriore e a farlo arrivare alla parte anteriore della calotta? Grazie mille per queste livree che stai facendo!!
