Hi all, as the title says, im looking to join a squadron to enjoy the MP side to black shark. A little bit about me, im 27, i live in the uk, and have played simulations, mainly flight simulations since an early age. My main love is IL2, and it has been this way for years, its growing old on me now, so im trying new things, i bought black shark russian version on release, played it a while, then went back to IL2, recently i have bought the english version, and it has me hooked, i have a real interest in modern warfare right now. I have also recently bought LO:FC, which i have played a little of, but i am having problems with my stick button assignments :(, but once i get round that im sure i will enjoy it. I can fly and use the weapons systems quite proficently on the shark, and would love to get involved in a group who could teach me more about this wonderful sim, and also maybe LO:FC/ Preferably the squad would be UK based. So.......i first bought black shark when it was released in russia, managed to unscramble the russian websites, and go through all the hassle to buy it early before the english release, even helping a few others buy it too. I played it for a while back then, and if im honest, it felt quite empty as a game, i was looking for more action, so i just didnt play it for what must have been a year. A week or so ago, i was browsing around, i saw the news about FC:2.0, and that grabbed my interest, so i bought the english version of the game, eager to see what the patch had changed, i am so glad i did, i am really loving the game right now, its a true work of art, its got me hooked :) and some of the mods are great too. I play a lot of MP games, and would like to perhaps get into MP with DCS, im enjoying the single player campaign's, but you cant beat flying with someone else. Thanks ED!

im running a 9800GX2, and i have noticed a massive difference in FPS and smoothness over my 8800GTX which i also used in this game, playing at res of 1920x1440, almost everything on high except water and shadows.

are you using an nvidia card or ati? if nvidia i found that changing the profile from the nvidia manager from high quality to quality gave a massive boost, and allowed me to run with 4x AA and 16x AF, but now i have found my card has more muscle in higher resolutions so im running in 1920x1440 and the need for AA has gone

i was hoping there would be some info in the manuals about setting up multi monitor. im finding it difficult to do this, if anyone has any advice for me then thanks. im using a 22" crt as my main, and want to use a 17" crt as shkval. running at 1280x1024 probably. what settings should i use??

r-unit, all i can see so far is that there is no prop wash/dust

firstly turn it on, theres a switch next to the eject panel(black and red) on right hand side, above the auto pilot buttons i think.

i tend to use only the pitch and bank auto pilot buttons, for flight, then once ive put it into a manual hover, turned where i want to face with rudder i activate the heading autopilot, from then on i use the "turn towards target" button to link it with the shkval.

the way i have been doing it is two separate flights of 1, both clients, then on mp it allows the choice of both flights.

fixed it, was a ; missing from some command lines.

yes you are probably right feuerfalke, but the only thing i have noticed so far is that i have no propwash, which i can live without in order to get some good fps

also change haze in that file to 0, lights to 1 and play with shadows 1, i get a whopping 50-60 fps with vsync on!!! it looks awesome and plays like it should 1280x1024 E6850 @ 3.8ghz 2gb geil ddr2 800mhz 786mb 8800GTX

still loving this game, learning new stuff all the time, right now im messing with the navlink..... so heres whats wrong, my wingman, and tower do not talk to me...all i get is the tsssssch radio noise when i ask or give a command. i notice in the devs videos that the wingman does speak as well as subtitles, but i dont have either??? does anyone else have this??

im getting great performance now. all on high except vis range medium, shadows 1 water 1 haze 0 lights 1 getting above 50fps most of the time, usually around 65fps.

when you bought the russian version you surely knew there was gonna be no support in the english forums?? im still on 3 activations, and i intend to keep it that way, this has probably served as a good reminder for the rest of us to be more careful about activating. and hamachi is getting more and more associated with piracy these days so i guess the software protection did its job this time.
