Don't mind any of these guys, just go to any USAF A-10 base and explain that you've mastered DCS A-10C, I'm sure they'll have no problem letting you in to fly that 12 million dollar? aircraft. No Problem. If you tell them you know Matt Wagner they may even let you load the ordinance and skip the pre-flight. Just make sure to be wearing your own mask, helmet and G-suit when you first approach the main gate. If you write a name on the side of your helmet like "Hotdog", "Starbuck" or "Chuckles" for example, they will stencil it onto the aircraft before you fly, but only if you have a receipt from a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog controller with you. :smilewink:

I think it's looking pretty awesome, I'd personally like to see blood on the canopy with that level of damage, (if the pilot is dead) extra visual effects are always cool, but this isn't an A-10 explosion simulator, your supposed to bring your ride back. I'd rather ED focus on flying.
-
I'd like the ability to be able to run after your pilot is on the ground. That slow walk can take forever sometimes if you want to check out stuff, and to make it really cool perhaps we could have the option to "turn on" our survival radio and listen to all that new radio chatter as we take our stroll?

When is Wags going to be put back on the Active Duty list? I'm dying for more Producer Notes.

trouble zooming out when using trackir
digitaljjd replied to krisMedicine's topic in Bugs and Problems
Go into options, controls, select axis commands in the drop down menu for the aircraft you will be flying/setting up, (with trackir running before hand) move the slider at the bottom to the right to reveal the trackir set-up column. This got me too, when I reinstalled. It was interfering with my programmed button controlled zoom. Zoom should be set to trackir Z I had to clear my assignment to prevent my trackir from zooming. I'd rather zoom manually with a button. It created a conflict and it wouldn't work at all.(buttons) Hope that helps. If this is already set, check that the zoom commands are not also assigned to the joystick causing a conflict. That was the only way I could fix mine. BlackShark works with both, (no conflicts) but it's a true 6 DOF pit, the Z axis is set to absoute longitude camera view in BS. If i want to really zoom in/out to read a dial etc I can with the throttle hat. -
DCS A-10C Warthog Producer Note 2 Available
digitaljjd replied to Wags's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
This is just eye candy overload! Awesome! I'm just excited that we can finally get to use the fire extinguishers after staring at them for so long. -
Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?
digitaljjd replied to some1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
One trigger with two programmable functions. Half-way say fires one cannon only...all the way fires cannon and rockets. Or whatever. Also...399 euros is $491.96 dollars at current exchange rates. Ouch. -
Review of the major HOTAS players... Here's some pretty helpful info as well, for others who find this thread with the same question. http://www.simhq.com/_technology2/technology_094a.html

Sorry guys went trout fishing yesterday...thanks =4c= Hajduk Veljko for a sample profile, I changed mine the same way...but I think GregP nailed it. In the axis menu I still had a "JoyZ" in the pedal column when I thought I had erased all the double assignments. Works now! Now I can finally taxi! Thanks again all for the help.

Hey guys, does anyone else have a problem with this? I'm using the W key banded...but am only able to use the brake if the rudder is centered. Weird. When taxing if I'm in a turn I have no toe brake. Is this just me or what? F.Y.I. kinda funny when you run into the tail of your wingman's plane......there was actual slight tail cap damage. (A-10) Sweet! Way to go ED!

I agree. No playable/watchable training missions is a pretty freaking lame way to go after paying the higher price for the upgrade. I feel a bit taken. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. Maybe they will work out a solution later. Still it's a cool game, and I'm looking forward to DCS A-10C and hopefully other DCS titles.

X52 Pro drop menu button map?
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Right.....I guess this is where I confess to being a moron. I've been trying to map the stick in the rudder column. I guess that's why it wasn't registering a button press. In my defense, I know that it sometimes won't map at all if I don't delete the profiles in the config folder first. Sorry guys! I appreciate all the help, I knew I was missing something obvious. It was super frustrating. I think all that beer is finally cathing up to me. They both are obsured in the heading names. Duh! At least it's working now. -
X52 Pro drop menu button map?
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You had my hopes up! My problem is...it doesn't work. Nothing happens when I push any button. It's not registering any input at all. The stick profiles are in the columns, but when I go into the add assignment screen to try to add something...nothing happens...so I HAVE to select a drop down to get it to add a button. It has worked a few times in the past, but never quite right. SST is my only option I guess. I do have the latest version, and I was using the beta. I even went in and deleted the profiles(except default) in the config/input folders. I think that fixed my problem last time. I even reinstalled BS and the Saitek drivers/software. -
X52 Pro drop menu button map?
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have an X52 Pro. There are only like 130+? choices to pick from to assign a button. I'm guessing that also includes the 3 modes. The control panel button numbers and the drop down numbers don't jive, as in, they are NOT the same. The POV Hats are the only thing labeled. See the huge .gif to see what I have to choose from. I don't know which button is which. I can't believe nobody has charted this out yet. The developers have to know right? -
I'm unable to "in-game" program my stick,(won't sense any input) but I can use the drop down menu to select a button manually. Does anyone have a button listing for the X52 Pro? i.e. button 120=A, or 90=toggle 1. The huge list in the drop down menu is a total mystery. I've used the SST with mixed results...and can someone tell me if the landing light is also the spot light? I can turn it on, but I'm unable to move the light in any direction. Is there another light?

First fighter to be added to DCS: Black Shark?
digitaljjd replied to Alexrey's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
"As for what happens after Black Shark, the team has several aircraft modules currently in development (this could include development of 6 DOF cockpits, avionics or flight dynamics). While the A-10A Suite 2 module will still likely follow the Black Shark, the following aircraft are also now planned for DCS in development at one stage or another: 1- A-10A Suite 2 (latest version of A-10A in active use) 2- A-10C Suite 3 (we now able to develop an entertainment version of the simulation we developed for them. We are very happy and excited about this). 3- AH-64A Blk. 49A 4- Su-27 5- F-15C 6- Mi-24V 7- F-16C 8- MiG-29A Naturally, release of aircraft like the Su-27 and F-15C would coincide with integration of advanced flight model for missiles, advanced seeker logic and advanced air-to-air radar logic and modeling." A Corny Thank You Thread to Wags and ED
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Funny! You are more right then you know. I just got a new Logictech G11 illuminated keyboard and fried it by turning a beer over into it. The beer holder would have prevented that from ever happening. What a waste. I took it all apart but a few of the pathways were shorted out. -
A Corny Thank You Thread to Wags and ED
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Are you serious? I didn't really think it was that good. Amature at best. Just a quart of "Battleship Grey" from the local hardware store. The big issue for me was adjustability. The platforms and armrest can be adjusted for height independently. -
A Corny Thank You Thread to Wags and ED
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Wow! Thanks! At first I wasn't going to paint it, but bare wood looked kinda' tacky. It's more of a functional set-up then something fancy. -
A Corny Thank You Thread to Wags and ED
digitaljjd replied to digitaljjd's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Thanks! The bolt holes were key, otherwise it was velcro. Wasn't too hot about that, they needed to be stationary. The fender washers were the perfect size to fit some adhesive bumpers onto the underside to protecting the stick surfaces from damage. -
Just wanted to personally thank Wags and ED for the upcoming DCS titles. I've been reading this forum for sometime now (years?) and probably won't ever post anything again, but it seems to me that not enough appreciation has been relayed back to all these guys for their willingness to share so much information during the development process, which I hope will continue into the upcoming DCS modules. They are more then just selling a product, they care and have an emotional investment and pride in it as well. I've never had the chance to actually thank a developer for the hundreds of hours of entertainment these products can and do provide. I play LOMAC whenever I have time and have modified my own HOTAS chair in anticipation of the upcoming DCS titles. (which I just so happen to have pics of...):music_whistling: so, I'll be standing in line to get my copy of BS come release day and many thanks to everyone for their efforts to keep me entertained, and keep up the good work!
