  1. How do you like the so-called Advanced Flight Models in the Viggen, the Mirage-2000C, the Harrier, and the Gazelle? What are the differences between these Advanced Flight Models and the Professional Flight Models in the A-10C, the Huey and the Ka-50 ? Are there any overall satisfaction surveys on all these modules? Thanks for any info !
  2. How do you like the so-called Advanced Flight Models in the Mirage, the Harrier, and the Gazelle? What are the differences between the Advanced Flight Models and the Professional Flight Models in Real Life? Thanks !
  3. A good point .
  4. Agreed. It's supposed to be the same like in Su-33 / the Admiral Kuznetsov, and the Carl Vinson before :) .
  5. Runibl, Thank you for this authentic checklist, I especially like the section of turning the ground power on. Please keep up the good work , we're going to need more detailed checklists like yours .
  6. Second on that :) .
  7. I just want to ask the very same questions. Thanks !
  8. You're right. Thanks for your input. A little off topic, but it will be wonderful to put altogether our DCS Blue Angels, DCS Thunderbirds, DCS Russian Knights and DCS Swife, into one big airshow , and to see them doing startups and iFCS-BITs at EOR  .
  9. Also there is a lever labeled for detent locating right next to the grooves of throttles. I guess we can adjust lever with mouse.
  10. There is a lever labeled for that locating right next to the grooves of throttles.
  11. If you taking about the knob for formation lights/stripes, it's on the left and a bit forward of the left throttle. The knob for navigation lights is right behind it. And the anti-collision / strobing light is hiding right next to the left throttle, which is a little hard to reach for. Fortunately it's set to BRT (bright) by default. In real life a button on the left throttle is mapped for "exterior lights", with which the pilot can toggle to signal his ground crew during startup procedures. Does it mean the navigation lights  ?
  12. Thanks you. I did set up the TCN for the Stennis but haven't got a chance to work on the other 2 CVs yet. Has anyone successfully added/edited ATC fequencies ?
  13. Thank you, Matt :) . How about for the other 2 carriers, the USS Carl Vinson and the Admiral Kuznetsov ? What are the TCN and VHF AM/FM numbers for them that we can use to set in our own missions :pilotfly: ?
  14. TOP GUN style  .
  15. The YouTube clip above doesn't seem to show the Blue Angels did their FCS-BIT's at El Centro NAF this year, which was their first airshow in 2018.
  16. I hope to see some of our DCS pilots here will match or even beat the start up times of the Blue Angels teams soon :) . Their Hornets have had their radars, canons, pylons... removed though. I bet their Angry Betty and BIT would not be very happy about that. Ouch, ouch.
  17. I can feel the angst for Hornet pilots on Alert 5, since they will reach Bingo Fuels quite fast with both engines running while they are waiting :( .
  18. How do the Blue Angels start up their jets before doing airshows? Do they skip any steps? How about for Hornets on Alert 5 on board of carriers IRL?
  19. Thanks for explaining, that makes sense:).
  20. Yes, I did. Just standard .
  21. Oh, mine was on the CVN -74 Stennis sailing at 25 Knots , even the coordinates drifted constantly, the calibration did work and finished in 96 seconds. So the countdown time really depends on the locations, I think.
  22. In Wag's Case I CQ video, CVN-74 John C. Stennis has its TCN set as 55X STN. We could probably work on CVN-70 Carl Vinson with a similar way. And maybe the Admiral Kuznetsov too ?? I'm just so happy that I have Viacom /Voice Attack working on the Stennis and airfields !
  23. Actually the INS aligment countdown only takes 96 seconds to complete, and then it says " 0.5 OK " on the moving map. The "0.5" stays there and doesn't turn into 0. Does it mean the aligment process is really complete and O.K. to switch the INS knob to NAV ? Why people say it takes 3 to 4 minutes ?
  24. I am in California. Right now I just do some basic trainings on DCS and wait for the Hornet coming out before upgrading my GPU. Also wait for the price drops ...
  25. Hi BIGNEWY, Thanks for your timely reply:thumbup:. Attached please find my files after crash. I understand the map sizes are getting bigger as they get better and nicer, but how come the downloading /Torrenting rate from server is ALWAYS so slow (~ 30 Kb/s by average) ??? ;) dcs.log-20180323-091040.zip dcs.log-20180323-090642.zip dcs.log-20180323-085148.zip
