+1 I just found a link for Section 1 of MiG-29 Flight Manual here (a total of 157 pages) . Any luck for finding the rest of this wonderful flight manual, please ? :)

Which GPU gives better performances in DCS 2.53 (+) with and without VR, 1070Ti or 1080? how about 1070 vs 1080 ? is it worthy to pay the price difference ? Thanks !

That's too bad, hope ED will implement it soon. I found the QFE knob works now in Su-27/J-11A and Su-33, and hope it will work in Su-25 too - just like in Ka-50 :) . I think it really adds immersions for us before take-off and landing  . By the way, where are the Radar Altimeter switches / Rad-alt knobs located in MiG-29 and Su-27 ? Does Rad-Alt always display on their HUDs automatically without the need to turn a knob ? Or in real life it needs to turn a switch / knob just like those in F/A-18C and Mirage-2000C ?

Yes, that's the one. it is not "oil Pressure"- I guessed it WRONG :). Does this "Fail Transform" mean AC-DC inverter failure ? or a transformer failure ? Why does it link to the Right engine's RPM ?
-
What a nice list , I think we can add the following just to make it complete : - Inlet Ramp Position Indicator shows dorsal grills for FOD open / inlet doors close for FOD protection when each engine reaches 35% RPM during start-up. (Watch those "side lines" rising up from the bottom of Ramp Position Indicator). - A red caution light for low oil pressure switches off at the very back of right side panel when Right engine reaches 60% RPM. - A working QFE knob on barometric altimeter on ALL FC3 planes - we can now re-zero the altimeter before take-off.

Im not to fond of the new cockpit lighting
Archer_111 replied to swartbyron's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
In addition, the flash light (L-Alt-L) can be very helpful at night. I just hope ED will implement this function to all FC3 planes. Right now the key is listed but has no effects at all. -
I'm also glad to see that ED has added some little details in the MiG-29 cockpit : 1.When NWS is activated, you can now see the "Lock-on" button on the throttle is pushed. 2. The Inlet Ramp indicator shows the dorsal grills open / inlet door closes when RPM reaches 35% during each engine's start-up. When the right engine reaches its 60% RPM, it switches off a red caution light at the back for low oil presure (?). 3. The QFE knob on Russian FC3 planes are now working, it is nice to be able to calibrate our barometric altimeters before take-off and landing according to ATC's instructions. 4. The knob for landing and taxi light switch is now moving. 5. The knob for nevigation lights is animated, strob and formation lights come next ? 6. I also hope to see that the buttons for drag chute release in both MiG-29 and Su-27SK/J-11A will be soon animted. BTW, how to make sure the drag chute is out ? Any feed-back on the lights? Right now we only get a caution light on when Su-27 dumps the chute (not when it is first released. And MiG-29 has no feed-back at all ). Please keep up your good work, ED/BST :-) !

But I still wish to be able to manually disable nose wheel steering at high taxiing speeds during take off and landing, especially when there is side wind blowing to my plane. All PFM planes should use their rudder authorities instead of nose wheel steering in those situations, right ?
-
Great info, good to know. Thanks again !
-
Too bad. It should have been on the Wish List. Why MiG-29's nose wheel turn rate is slower / smaller when its flap is down ? :smilewink:

Thanks for the info, gentlemen. Is there a Nose Wheel Steering switch in MiG-29 ?

Mig-29 updated cockpit looks weird
Archer_111 replied to Ala12Rv-watermanpc's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
Mustang, Would you please change the color of RMI needle to BRIGHT YELLOW or RED on HSI to make it easier to spot in flight ? It is the most important indicator for MiG-29 navigation, but it is now in WHITE and can be barely seen. I believe the RMI arrow in real life is in bright yellow as shown in the picture above. Thank you very much for your good works ! (RMI stands for Radio Magnetic Indicator, it's also called ADF needle, and it points to the current steering point or a radio beacon of a chosen airfield / NDB ). -
Missing MiG-29 Quick Start Missions from Update
Archer_111 replied to NineLine's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
Nineline's 7 new missions do not show up under Quick Action, but they can still be accessed via My Missions of Missions tab in game. You just simply need to tell DCS to go back to the directory from where you added those 7 missions. After all we can search files in game just like using Windows Explorer : ....DCS Openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\Flamming Cliffs 3\Quick Action\... By the way those new missions are FUN to play yet challenging. A big thumbs up to Nineline and ED. -
Thank you very much, Uboats. I can't wait to get the update tomorrow 8/15/2018)

Just doing a simple routine reset of Viacom Pro files and then delete the whole plug-in from VoiceAttack, followed by doing a reinstall of a fresh set of Viacom Pro 2.53 + Chat.dll 2.51 back in, has saved me lots of angst and troubles of fighting those weird and crazy bugs every time when DCS is patched with a new update.

Thank you for your reply, Uboats. I have been quite busy this week and will get back to the radio problems when I can.

J-11A, still got bug at 2.5.2 release version
Archer_111 replied to JOKERACTS's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Also after the update released on 7/06/2018, J-11A's default radio frequency is strangely set at AM 127.5 MHz, which is the default frequency of the CVN-74 John C. Stennis. As a result of the wrong setting, players of J-11A are now unable to RECEIVE voices from any ATC's on shore. It is even more weird that player-controlled J-11A's and Su-27's are NOT allowed to change their preset frequencies, it's stuck at AM 127.5 MHz !. I tried to solve the problem by first setting a J-11A or Su-27 as an AI plane, which allows me to change their preset radios to frequencies of my choice. Then I switch the AI plane back to Player or Client control. But this doesn't help, players on a J-11A or Su-27 still can't HEAR from their ATC's. And setting up a new radio frequency at way point 0 by Advanced Action at Mission Editor DOESN'T make any difference e EITHER. -
Also as I mentioned last time, J-11A's controlled by AI now fail to retract their anti-FOD screens after takeoff, and this seems to suffocate their engines so much that they can't keep up with formation flying, even they've kept their afterburners on ALL THE TIME. Sometimes AI planes also fail to taxi for parking after landing. They stop almost too fast once they touch down, and then for some unknown reasons they just decide to sit on their butts at the middle of a runway for the rest of the day. As a result they blocked all traffics on that runway ! I believe this has been an old bug that never actually got fixed.

Uboats, I have run numerous trials and the radio calls from J-11A and Su-27 STILL fail to reach their ATCs. This problem persists without using Viacom Pro /VoiceAttack. But my Su-33 , F-15C apparently don't suffer this problem since their default frequencies were set at AM 124 MHz...(?) Would you please take another look at this bug for us ? And why we are not allowed to change the default radio channels for J-11A and Su-27 at Mission Editor ?? Thanks again .
-
Uboats, After the 7/18 update, J-11A still can't talk to ATC. Also, its engine inlet grid remains at up/on position inflight, it should be automatically retracted as landing gears rise up during take off. Thank you !
-
Uboats, Thanks a lot for your quick reply, I appreciate it :) . In my setup I use Viacom Pro to talk to an ATC , for example, Batumi, and Viacom Pro does recognize what I say. But the problem is the ATC (Batumi) NEVER speak back to me. Even though I know the ATC talks to my wingman parked right next to me. My other FC3 planes, such as Su-27, Su-33 and F-15C, are all found having no problems doing both transmitting and RECEIVING communications with their ATC's. Interestingly their default radio frequencies are NOT set at AM 127.5 MHz. Before the 7/6 update, my J-11A's radio worked just fine too, and it was NOT set to AM 127.5 MHz. PLEASE HELP ME TO BRING BACK THOSE WONDERFUL J-11A'S COMMS IN CHINESE, :helpsmilie: THANK YOU VERY MUCH :) !!!

An old bug comes back : when parked and chocked, an AI plane drifts through the flight deck by itself. It does this independently to the carrier's pitching up and down movement, how amazing ! Player's plane also has similar feeling of drifting when taxiing, please fix it ASAP, thanks.
