  1. dmatsch, Here's a link to Wags' mini update thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3679744&postcount=86 Recommend you D/L that mission and install it in the ED>DCS World OB>Mods>aircraft>FA18C>Missions>Single This will give you a quick and easy way to fly and practice. My Current Flow: FENCE: 1) Select A/G Mode 2) Ensure Master Arm - On 3) Set Stores on Left DDI & Select MAV 4) Set LMAV on Right DDI 5) Set 1688 laser code by utilizing UFC button on either DDI, then input via UFC 6) Set WPT on HSI to WP 2 STRIKE: 1) Set 133.00 in radios 2) Contact JTAC and run through the check-in radio comms up to "Laser On" *Once set and ready for run in* 3) Call laser on NLT 10 NM out to WP 2 4) Uncage LMAV once turned in the general direction 5) Run Through Rest of required JTAC Comm up to "IN" 6) NLT 8 NM, Call "IN" with JTAC 7) Weapons Release NET 7NM (Per Wags' vid on general release ranges for AGM-65Es) Sorry for the rudimentary way of describing this. I'm no Chuck. Cheers, Thump
  2. I vote AJS-37 Viggen....
  3. Baltic_Dragon, you and the crew did a kick-ass job with this new manual. Wanted to pass my thanks for going well and beyond expectations. Your efforts are appreciated! Thump
  4. Baltic et al., Thank you for your efforts. Truly excited about this release and look forward to learning more about the Mirage. Cheers, Thump
  5. Hi Azrayen :), it's more of a long time listener, first time caller thing. I've been around since Flanker and LOMAC but haven't posted much. It's more of a vocal frustration as an EA M2K, early RAZBAM supporter with what feels to be institutional lack of focus/completed product with this specific third party developer. Hence why I am appreciative of his efforts along with anyone else who has done these things out of their own time. It simply seems that these things should be a forethought and not something the customer should have to prompt. Cheers, Thump
  6. While I appreciate your work on it Baltic_Dragon, how was this not even considered?
  7. I like your optimism.
  8. It's a question of where on the power curve your aircraft lands. It is not a matter of preference but of physics and how the aircraft performs when configured.
  9. I'm not sure if it's standard but I've flown the king air 350 and 350er. Both had a delay on the electronic but no delay if you use the wheel. I'm not sure why, I just accepted it as it was and used the wheel (couldn't stand the delay).
  10. Sorry, my point about military trim was that it is instant from the point of moving the trim switch. Civilian aircraft tend to have a delay for electronic trim (hat switches). The method of trimming does not change.
  11. For trimming, are you holding the stick where you want to maintain level flight and THEN trimming off the pressures. Or are you trimming in hopes of finding level? If it's the former, then don't hold the trim for so long (I'm talking about a half second at most) and do it "one click at a time" until you get what you want. If you are trimming to just stop the aircraft from moving, then try the other method since it is the most useful means of trimming an aircraft (specific a military one). Cheers, Thump
  12. False. You can adjust the curves and the deadzone to the controls. I haven't really messed with it much but depending on your preferred feel, you can adjust it so that you can cause some travel in the stick without it actually moving the controls. This will give a more "spungy" feel and increase controllability to a point but you lose sensitivity (i.e. immediacy of action by the aircraft to one's commands). My recommendation is to adjust the deadzone a bit, then flex the curve to make a smooth shape. Unless someone has presets that they find work well for the F-5 that they are willing to share.
  13. I can appreciate their input and see the pilot's anecdotal history & mechanics expertise as a need for looking into the specifics of what they see as needing patching/fixing. To quote a buddy of mine after he talked with an IL-76 driver..."If I pull back on stick and she does not take off, I put stick back and try again in a few seconds..." :D :pilotfly: Cheers, Thump
  14. The key thing is that they get it right based upon known information and extrapolation for information not available. Whether or not people actually "feel" like the flightmodel is accurate is not the metric I would want them to go off of. Our feelings on performance of aircraft are highly subjective, based in zero technical data or tech orders, and can be highly biased without any basis in aerodynamics/physics/etc. The main thing is that they do it the best possible without any glaring errors, and simply stand by it as the best performance simulation they are able to accomplish with the available information (i.e. a study sim, not survey). As of right now, I am very happy that they have made progress in supporting the Mirage as I had placed my faith in them with its EA. Right now I'm watching to see if the support continues with an updated manual (which is being worked on), continued implementation of what has been said to be expected features, and their fixing (when required). This will dictate whether or not I buy the Harrier in EA or at all. - Thump
