  1. I've had the same issue in the P47 just now and the Spitfire today, speed got stuck at about 200mph and made landing very difficult, didn't climb high or climb descend quickly it was a very leisurely circuit only flight in formation with one other P47 who didnt get the same issue. Even after landing the gauge stayed high sinking very, very slowly. 5 mins on the ground and I was still doing 180mph
  2. Issue for me too, even tried to get Jester to tune to a random airbase in the hope I could then tune back to the carrier. Tuned to Kutasi and got a full CTD
  3. I seem to be having the same issue, enemy got within 20 mile from me the other day and I couldn't for the life of me lock him up - just showing as a red on FCR with no white blip thought the radar may have been ghosting but got visual of him ....after he'd already BVR fired on me :-(
  4. I love the T16000 stick but it does degrade overtime, deadzone is the answer as it physically has a sensitive light friction zone before the stick stiffens to harder friction, sometimes movement in this light zone is amplified once you get into the harder friction so I have curves at 25 and a 10 deadzone and dont have any issues. I had an earlier generic Thrustmaster hotas stick and in the hover my Harrier was all over the place, rocking left to right with little I could do to stabilise it - bought a new one (T16000) and it's solid in the Hover now landing at a nice 0 knots, wings level.
  5. on the great 4YA servers, as stated above, you literally just kill all red units and then a blue AI unit will spawn, travel a short distance to the base and turn the base to Friendly.
  6. Thanks! Had a good successful flight last night firing IR Mavs in combination with the T-POD without having to re-slew the IR MAV, I love lasing but man them Mavs seem to take forever to get to their target - Gone back to the IR's for a nice bit of fire and forget, I can RTB to have Tea and Crumpets whilst the IR Mav continues onward :D
  7. Also agree there are no known issues. I was on several servers last night and fired dozens of IR and Laser Mavs without any problems.
  8. Perfect! I knew I'd managed this before - thank you!
  9. I often use the IR Mavs along with the Tpod to allow target acquisition more efficiently and from a lot further out, the IR Mav salves to the T-POD great, but when centered on a target that's in range, the IR Mav won't lock itself onto the target without me having to 'bump' the IR Mav's own TDC off the target and back. Am I falsely remembering a way around this so i can just force lock it without moving it away and back, sometimes bumping it on and off target is clumsy unless flying straight and level on AP?
  10. If you're still having trouble a few points that might help 1 - you can't change laser code on the ground if you happen to be on the deck. 2 - Use the DMT to set the laser code, (DMT is middle left option on the MFD) set code there then return back to the LST and it should correlate. For future reference there's also a bug with the laser Mavs if you get round to trying them, when pressing code through the weapons store and select Mav, and press code it only allows two numbers to be entered, just enter 2 random numbers press enter on UFC then enter the full 4 digits and enter and it'll take it the second time (if not use DMT method again)
  11. Sorry not been on for a while - are you not setting a laser code at all? I think it's required - Note the harrier resets it's laser code each time you get weight on wheels too. Try setting the laser code to 1688 - To do this Press MAV in the stores management - the UFC will light up with 4 digits - enter 1688 Enter (sometimes this is buggy and only accepts 2 numbers, press any 2 numbers and press enter, then it should let you enter 4 numbers, press ent) - if you have trouble setting the laser code via the Mavs SMS page. You can set the laser code using the DMT page then go back to the SMS - try your run in again and about 6-10 miles the "In Range" cue shows on the centre right of the HUD (in Ground mode) let me know if you've already sorted it or this works for you! - happy to help
  12. Are you using the default laser code 1688? Is there a chance others are using the same code? Maybe try something random like 1650? I can still fire Mav's fine from around 8-10 miles out - Acquire target, Fire Laser, Uncage Seeker, lockup cue diamond "in Range" and fire - are you waiting for the "In Range" Cue? The Mav's are very slow in flight so I tend to slow down to as to not overfly the target and lose camera track. As for slewing on the TGP you need TDC to be active (underlined on TPOD screen) is there anything you might be pressing to deactivate it, I turn this ON/OFF when using IR Mavs so i can slew between the two - Other than that are you using Waypoint to 'Designate' the T-POD if so remove DESIGNATE from the EHSD or just bump the WP to release it Thinking about it are you using the correct MAV's for lasing if you was using IR Mavs by mistake you might A)Fire into distance B) Lose TDC for the T-POD :-)
  13. You're welcome :-)
  14. In the mission editor try using a frequency in the 200Mhz range - I changed from the default 133 (that didn't work) to 233 and worked straight away
  15. In the mission editor use a frequency in the 200+ Mhz range - no idea why but this solved the issue for me
  16. I've played DCS a lot and I still neglect how much they model this game - thanks for the response, I'll be changing the mission to be ,dark, snow, sleet, with 20knt head wind and head for the base of the mount tonight before hovering! :-)
  17. A point I never even considered! Thanks for the tip - I've just started using the Nevada Desert map again!! - Thanks for both replies i'll see if night time improves the engine performance
  18. Has anyone else noticed a change in the Harrier hovering characteristic since the latest update, having to max out engine load to maintain any sort of hover even if unloaded and have minimal fuel which inevitably uses all the water and burns the engine out - it's acting like it's constantly overweight even with as little as 1000lbs of fuel and nothing loaded.
