  1. I note the Autopilot emergency disconnect paddle functionality of disengaging Pitch and Roll Stab Aug works on the ground with weight on wheels, I'm not sure this is correct. It supposedly should revert the throttle mode from Auto or Boost back to manual and if held the engines should move into Secondary mode while held. I'm not seeing the indications for SEC mode when held and it is not moving the throttle mode to MAN either? Not modeled?
  2. Hey Hollywood I've noticed that Jester randomly select the A2G ordinance rather than the requested type. E.G. if I have a mixed A2G loadout and get a recognized "Select Mk 83's" he may select the other ordinance loaded. This is not the case on the wheel. I assume its somewhere in the viacom hooks? Cheers

  4. Hey Hollywood, How you going with getting some Lantirn integration for AIRIO? I noticed the Lantirn switch command, But it would be great to get him to target the primary.
  5. I fly around lots of jet wake IRL, it needs tweaking. The wingtip vortices don’t appear to be attached correctly to all aircraft. They are onboard of the tips in most cases. Obviously in close jetwash Behind the engines is an issue however IRL jetwash dissipates quickly behind the aircraft. Wingtip votives do not and extend many miles behind the jet. Airframe turbulence is super localised and dissipated only a few meters behind the aircraft. The Phoenix wake is over exaggerated on the tomcat having spoken to a guy that’s fired then IRL. Who observed the heat blur video. It’s all a mater of adjustment with the models.

Most wake turbulence is generated from the wingtip vortices of the tanker, this is generated by the cross flow over the wing to the tips, IRL you can fly just outside/inside this trailing wake with no effect. In very close you may get some down-wash directly behind the trailing edge of the wing or some localized buffet off the Flap Track Canoes. Below and inside the wingtip it is smooth air hence the location of the AAR Pods. The limiting factor in DCS is probably how each Aircraft Wake "attachment" is modeled. I guess they will get tweaked over time to generate a predictable wake.

  8. Try adding the commands from the config to the CTRL+ALT+C in the editor tab. Hit finish then apply the changes like you changed the keywords. worked for me. There is a description of how to do it in the manual if you are unsure.
  9. Yeah it slides but it doesn't get stuck, I believe as mentioned further up the thread it was put in place to stop the aircraft sliding around on the deck when the carrier is really moving. If there is sea state the aircraft slide if the carrier is less than around 14 knots. If you crank up the speed the stickiness comes in. I personally go with 11 knots of boat speed and 9 knots of wind at 30 feet. This gives 20 knots of WOD. This works without the other issues.
  10. Reduce the carrier speed below 14kts and it goes away, I found the same thing and it’s connected to the carrier speed. Just increase the wind to get a decent WOD. Hopefully the new carrier mod fixes this.

Hey Hollywood, I'm using Alerax's LSO script in a lot of mission builds lately and It's great, is there anyway I can edit the category and segments to put some of the commands into the plugin? even the carrier info and weather with maybe just slot 1 options for offline play? can't see any easy way to edit.
  15. I agree, Voice Attack with Viacom Pro is pretty much a no dispatch item now for me flying in VR in single player. This Video shows off Viacom Pro getting the AI to engage a fixed ground target.   16. I just swapped em out for non animated crew, took a little while. I’m sure they’ll be back. Sure looked awesome, I’d like to see them kneel down when you put the launch bar on that would be cool!

  20. Is there a way to change what aircraft is displayed in the client selection screen? It’s a bit of a give away if your hidden triggered scramble aircraft is displayed. It appears to default to last added, I think????
