  1. Cant this to install after applying the 1.02 patch.
  2. I actually just received a new pair of Saitek rudder pedals in the mail a few days ago. I cant begin to describe how fantastic they are. Flying the shark is so much easier now. I used a twist stick before and while it worked I knew the shark wasn't flying right. When I twisted the stick I would inadvertently pull it to one side, messing up my flight path. Plus since I couldn't hold the stick in place for the rudder for any amount of time I was constantly having to trim, and re-trim every few seconds. This caused all sorts of problems and performing any kind of hard maneuvers were a chore. But now all those little conflicts of having all 3 controls on one stick are gone, and the amount of trimming I have to do has been cut in half. It now flies like it's supposed to, very easy to control and maneuvers like a hammerhead are very fluid now and there's no "back talking" from the aircraft anymore. The Saitek pedals do have a spring that returns them to the center, and you do have to do this every time you trim, but since you'll be trimming a whole lot less it isnt a big deal. I bought mine from Gogamer.com for $95 but now they're out of stock, it seems like everything there is out of stock.
  3. I've always thought 'space sims' or sci-fi sims' were kind of an oxymoron. It's a little hard to make a simulator about something that doesn't exist.
  4. Nvm, got it. Back to Lomac now
  5. I was about to make a new topic (thought I was the only one with this problem). When I use NVGs the frame rate cuts in half and I lose AA. But the thing is this wasnt happening when I first installed it on my new PC build just a couple of weeks ago. Well I think I always lost AA but the frames never dropped. I even played online with NVGs and high FPS. It's like I've downloaded something or something was changed that's causing a conflict. Im going to re-install Windows XP and see if that fixes it.
  6. You can find out exactly what the collective does by placing your Ka-50 at the parking area, engines off, and simply watching from external view how the blades move as you raise/lower the collective.
  7. The modeling of the A-10 in DCS and the A-10 in Lomac would be worlds apart. Completely different, apples and oranges, night and day, ect. ect.
  8. You can turn camera jiggle on, F3, I think. The cockpit will vibrate, but only while in the air.
  9. ...Blackshark\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua Effects: 3 defualt is 3, change to 2 or 1
  10. Sim all the way. Dont see the point of arcade mode, even if its too hard for you using sim mode is the only way you'll learn to fly correctly.
  11. You have to map "collective" to your stick's "throttle" in the "axis" category
  12. Thanks for the link, I've thought about overclocking but its unkown territory and this 2.6 is fast enough for me as it is. But I'll look into it.
  13. The CPU is always more important. 2 weeks ago I was running a 1.5 ghz AMD Sempron w/ a Geforce 6800. BS ran badly, even with everything on low. Now Im running a AMD Athlon64 X2 dual core 5000+ @ 2.6ghz, still with the Geforce 6800. BS runs fantastic now on medium settings even in huge battles. It's smooth as silk and I love it.
  14. Turn on weapon syst. (next to ejection seat switches) Flip master arm (middle console, black/white switch) weapons should work after that
  15. I too have a saitek Evo. What you want mapped to the stick's throttle is the "collective" that's what you'll be using to fly. The "throttles" are only used during start up and shut down. They should be set to automatic and be left alone. I have those mapped to page up/page down.
  16. Proper nights is one of the best additions to the engine. You might want to turn off those interior lights when using NVGs though, you'll see much better.
  17. Ah, they're using: ...Black Shark\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua Not a lot of graphic options there though, just water, haze, lights, effects. Not as much as we had with the graphics.cfg. But I did get an FPS boost out of it.
  18. Indeed, I've been editing the graphics.cfg the same way I edited it with Lomac: FC, but nothing is changed in game. Is there another file somewhere that now controls the graphics?
