They are. It's the HTCC API. I can disable ALL but it, and DCS freezes. Just spent an hour with Fred (HTCC dev) and he can't figure out the conflict either, it's something in the Varjo software (we assume)..
-
Anyone with a Varjo headset get a PointCTRL or Slugmouse to work? I find as soon as I enable the HTCC API DCS freezes entering VR. This is with the "Force-Enable" workarounds on or off, no difference. Also, is the UltraLeap Gemini driver needed? I assume Varjo Base has it's own..
-
@slughead - Check your PMs..

I have no luck with hand use, sometimes i'm lucky, usually not, i'll pull something out I don't want, can get it back, or just too much RL gear in my way.. Miles (PointCTRL) is just over a month out from my order, may just go with that...
-
I would assume that any command that can be directed straight to Varjo LabTools will work, good luck!

In perfect condition, never an issue, I just moved to a Varjo XR3. Will be shipped in the XR-3 box for maximum protection, €800 including shipping anywhere in the EU. PM me for better contact info if interested..

Thank you! I was so wrapped up in trying the OpenXR Mirror capture I didn't try the simple method.. which worked perfectly! Just for info, in IL-2 you get the split screen using Game Capture so have to use OpenXR Mirror capture, don't see an option for Right or Left Eye only in OBS Game capture, no such option in IL-2....

Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
GPatricks replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
Remember, you tweak the Mbuccia Varjo FR via the settings.cfg file in "C:\Program Files\OpenXR-Varjo-Foveated" .. mine is below. peripheral_multiplier=1 ----- (this can be reduced to .8 to increase FR) focus_multiplier=1.6 ----- (this is normally set ~1.4 for good visuals) horizontal_focus_scale=1 -- ( I leave alone) vertical_focus_scale=1 ---- ( I leave alone) turbo_mode=1 ------------ ( I leave alone, you want Turbo ON) no_eye_tracking=0 ------- ( I leave alone, =setting to 1 kills eye tracking) -
Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
GPatricks replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
No idea what the 1st post says but it's simpler than ever. There is no more beta, and both the exe's (\bin\dcs.exe and \bin-mt\dcs.exe) are identical now. DCS is native OpenXR, all you need to do is install either Mbuccia's Varjo Foveated or add the registry keys to run Varjo's native FR (I prefer Mbuccia's for its ability to be tweaked). Enable Quad views, DISABLE Eye Tracking (in DCS settings), and go.. -

Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
GPatricks replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Just to be sure i'm clear, in the 1st picture this shows all (my) sections opened up. By default the "Activate xxx" is ticked. Notice "Active: 0" is set also.. But (my understanding, I certainly may be wrong) you need to set the effects as "Active: 1" for them to change/appear in VR. You can see in 1st pic "Active: 0" with bar full left for the top 4, haze )for some reason has 1 set at "Active: 1" by default. 2nd pic shows all effects Active: 1... I would rather ALL be set Active, but likely there is a reason for not doing so.. -
Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
GPatricks replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Are you "Activating" each VREM option you use, every time you restart DCS? I'm currently testing using the "VR" / "difficulty" / "graphics" options identical to @lefuneste01 's options.lua but changed my monitor height\width (to 2560x1440) and "visibrange" (to Ultra) in "graphics", then completely overwrote his file from "miscellaneous" on down with my settings. Still works perfectly. Now I will go in and see what breaks it... My "AA" = MSAA (his is "OFF") \ MSAA = 4 (his is 1) \ anistropy is 16 (his is 4) \ DLSS _PerfQuality =1 (his is 2) \ Sharpening = .72 (his is 0) \ canopyReflections = 1 (his is 0)... etc.... i'm thinking MSAA is an issue, we shall see! EDIT: MSAA 4x breaks VREM. Using DLAA w/DLSS (Quality) works well. My guess is all the other settings will work fine, just no MSAA 4x (was told 2x may be ok)... -
Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)

Testing with my original options.lua today with it changed to "bloom = false", fact is "bloom" should have been off anyway! -
Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
GPatricks replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'm going to put my original back in place, if it messes up I will then try changing each different entry. I know what's different (mine on right, yours on left) using WinMerge.... great tool -
Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr
GPatricks replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Virtual Reality
Ok, good news! Using a combination of Reshade 6.31 (with add-ons) and VR Enhancer Mod (VREM) I now have the ability to do what I want with the graphics (getting rid of the damn HAZE is worth it alone!). The sad part is the built-in ReShade effects are still not working... Just go to the link above, follow the instructions, and you Varjo owners may be happy.. To clarify his instructions a bit... When you install ReShade 6.3.1 w/Add-ons version to the \bin\DCS.exe (it is the same as the \bin-mt exe now) DO NOT select OpenXR, just DX 11/12. DO NOT tick off any extra add-ons, just leave the two ticked defaults alone. Make sure you are starting DCS from the \bin folder's dcs.exe. After you install the VREM folder (shaderreplace) and file (reshade DCS VREM.addon64) to the same \bin folder (as he lays out), run DCS, hit Home to open ReShade. DO NOT tick/enable any of the OEM ReShade options (like Curves/Vibrance/etc.). All your settings are under DCS VREM His directions are concise from this point, just want to save any unnecessary grief. I had issues and he gave me his options.lua to use but I think it was self-inflicted as I originally selected OpenXR and also ticked some ReShade options.. If you use his Options.lua file (don't really need to, just turn off MSAA and possibly bloom to false), read my post to see you need to disable eye-tracking in it.. EDIT: I believe using MSAA (over 2x) will break this mod, so try 2x, nothing or DLAA w/DLSS.. any Anistropic setting is fine.. -
Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
GPatricks replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Will do, will reinstall from scratch and let you know.. Edit - Reinstalled ReShade 6.3.1 with add-ons to \bin\DCS.exe, selected nothing other than default ticked boxes. Placed the "Shaderreplace" folder and the "reshade DCS VREM.addon64" file into the \bin folder. Placed the supplied options.lua file into the \Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\DCS\Config" folder (saved the original). (Eye tracking was enabled (["openxr_eyeGaze"] = true) so the in-game view was messed up, needed to get into System tab an un-tick it, but simple enough to change it to "false" before starting the sim. Varjo users must have this turned off.. Fired up DCS, started Reshade, and unticked the options “Generic Depth” and “Effect Runtime Sync” under the "Add-ons" tab. “DCS VREM” was ticked, I activated all (pertinent) VREM settings and set as Active. Entered the cockpit and first thing I checked was the haze setting (I hate it)... and it worked perfectly! All settings worked, this is fantastic! What changes were made in your config? Along with having installed OpenXR in Reshade originally, I also had enabled/ticked Curves/Lumen/and Vibrance, so possibly one or both was actually the culprit? Thank you!! -
Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
GPatricks replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
By "no option related to VR" are you saying do not tick off the OpenXR option and just load DX11/12? I am among those (Varjo XR-3) seeing no changes in VR, only on the 2D flatscreen (with VR lifted up). It was the same for me with just the latest ReShade app installed (before installing VREM).. I am running Varjo Base 4.4,... -
Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr
GPatricks replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Virtual Reality
Thanks for the detail! I did post over on the discord a few days back too, but nothing as yet. Due to the fact I have seen 0 responses from any (successful) Varjo users here, the Varjo or Reshade Discord, or the IL-2 Forum with a solution i'm removing it from my apps and using the OpenXR-API-Layers-GUI app to remove the API for now.. No point in the extra overhead if it's useless to me! -
Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
GPatricks replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
General consensus from the Varjo Discord is to turn Quad-views ON, turn Eye Tracking OFF in DCS menu, and that Mbuccia's Varjo Foveated is still the best one (more options to tweak it).. -
Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr
GPatricks replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Virtual Reality
No. I did as suggested, set the Reshade sliders over so the screen (flatscreen VR menu view) looked cartoonish. Quit the sim. Restarted the sim. Graphics in VR remain unchanged. Did this in both DCS and IL-2. I am guessing, but I think it has something to do with the "Syncronize effects runtime" window. If you look at the listings under the "Generic Depth" window it shows my flatscreen's 2560x1440 native resolution as being selected. This is listed as #0xxxxxxxxxxx8871370. Then in the "Syncronize effects runtime" it shows #xxxxxxxxxxx85A60 is being synchronized with #000000000018A40. Neither of these two addresses are listed for any of the the resolutions. I posted this on the Reshade Discord, along with the pic of add-ons settings, maybe someone can offer assistance. I was thinking of disabling my bionic displays, but since you have an Aero with the same issue it's not the problem. -
Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr
GPatricks replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Virtual Reality
I am running Varjo Base 4.3 and I have all the checkboxes.. As has been suggested to me, make some drastic changes in Reshade, enable it so it shows on the 2D screen, then exit the sim. Restart the sim and see if the changes are in VR now.. -
Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr
GPatricks replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Virtual Reality
Same here... saw the posts on the Discord, no one seems interested in answering them.. This was from @Zildac's post, may be part of a solution.. "The effect runtime sync checkbox is present and checked, however there is no "Syncronise effect runtimes" checkbox. As such no matter what you select in the effects nothing is applied to the HMD. " For me, I do have the "Syncronise effect runtimes" checkbox, and it is ticked. My only question is the resolution options checked off above, my desktop resolution is ticked, is this correct? -

That's how it works for me also, set it in the menu screen and leave it... I can't see any changes while in VR... -
Reshade effects working on monitor, but not in VR
GPatricks replied to shifor's topic in Virtual Reality
Thanks, I had set hotkeys for both on/off and reload. It seems the effects are on by default, but I check before entering the sim itself. Be great if they get it to run while IN VR at some point!
