  1. I have to use 1.75x "readers" on my flatscreens, using the G2 everything is clear, sometimes better clarity in one eye vs. the other regardless of lens setting. I'm going to make an appointment with the optometrist to see if any correction is needed (and to get the numbers VROptician needs) and at the very least get an exact pupil distance number to set.
  2. Try http://www.captzeen.com/helios/index.asp
  3. G2 arrived today, getting set up and just installed Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR and I don't have a window like you show (attached) when it starts, just a regular SteamVR window. Assume this has been updated as the new Steam/Mixed came out only a few days ago. Also, what settings are you using above "OpenGL Rendering GPU" in Nvidia 3D settings? My only "complaint" so far is I had to unplug one of my monitors and do a bit of shuffling to the remaining two as the G2 requires a DisplayPort connection..
  4. Thank you Speed, you came highly recommended on the DCS VR discord also!
  5. Quest 2 just got returned to Amazon, was not happy with image quality, G2 went on Sale today for €399 and will arrive Wednesday 11/24. This thread goes a ways back, is there a straight-forward guide for basic VR settings for a 3090/G2 somewhere or should I just read/study these 30 pages... ?
  6. Hardware is in my sig.. Well, it's amazing what 20 hours of reading/watching/resetting/playing and then doing it over and over will get you! The image got to the point where I was *almost* happy, but nowhere near where I was with a flatscreen. Today Amazon sent me a sale notice for a G2 for almost the same price as the Q2 so back in the box it went, then back to Amazon. G2 arrives Wednesday, will spend some time with it and if not satisfied it will go back and i'll move up to the next level of +/- €1000... The Varjo Aero "looks" great, but that's €2,400 with VAT... nah.
  7. New OC 2 user (arrived yesterday!) and I have been looking for help to get the clarity/sharpness I am used to with a flatscreen.. is that even possible? I have tried (following a YT video for IL2) messing with ODT and setting "Pixel per Display Override" to 2.0 (leaving the Oculus Setup set to 1.0), did not seem to make much difference. I had it set at 120hz at this point. Today going to try another suggestion of setting Oculus to 1.4 @80hz.. and try DCS for the first time in VR. I will look at Matt's thread on VR setup 1st to see what else I don't know.. Using a USB 3.1 -> USB-C cable to connect, tried a USB-C -> USB-C and (on this MB) USB-C is USB 2.0, so using the faster cable..
  8. If it's the MFD extraction that you are referring to Helios's latest updates have removed the issue in the "other F16" sim. In fact it was updated to ver. 1.6.5101.0000 a day or two ago.. not sure of the implications to DCS but now Helios can be used for all extractions "over there"...
  9. I've used the calibration tool several times, got the throttle to ignore the "Idle Detent" pull up/back area so the throttle starts at the normal pull back point. No issues whatsoever, but I made sure firmware and software were the latest available. I would hope TM can help you..
  10. Wild guess but I think you kept it under full power the whole time and cooked the engine, doesn't take long at all. As for emergency landings, I always keep the gear up as it's hard enough to land a 109 with power, let alone in a near-stall attitude.
  11. Yes to cannons/guns all at once (guns armed and cannons must be charged 1st IIRC), MW50 switch needs to be on, then it engages automatically.
  12. For me, the easiest solution for the TM Warthog HOTAS in DCS was to run the Target Script that enables DX1-DX128 on the Throttle. Then I simply assign every switch position on the throttle in DCS controls setup, save the setup for each plane, and this is not effected by their countless (appreciated!) updates. TARGET is only working on the Throttle, the stick and rudders are not effected by this script and are assigned normally. This has worked flawlessly for me for quite a while now despite the many TARGET horror stories out there..
  13. I would say yes to Molykote 55 since you already have it - https://www.worldofchemicals.com/chemicals/chemical-properties/molykote-55.html Nyogel 767a - https://www.worldofchemicals.com/chemicals/chemical-properties/nyogel-767a.html Notice Nyogel 767a is "Used to reduce free motion"..... not a desired result IMO. I would try this, have used it in the past on plastic to reduce friction, worked well and is relatively cheap.. https://www.amazon.es/Super-Lube-21030-Synthetic-Grease/dp/B000XBH9HI/ref=asc_df_B000XBH9HI/?tag=googshopes-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=264677995153&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4253433881570110535&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1005545&hvtargid=pla-315922229188&psc=1
  14. Are we still talking about the 8" Lilliput Displays\Monitors?
  15. Looks very well made for Racing, the flight stick and throttle placement look a bit low and wide for my taste. I will assume the seat can be adjusted for angle and is on sliders. What is neglected is a place for a KB & Mouse, though if the Steering wheel mount is big enough you can possibly velcro the KB and add a mouse plate/pad as I did on my Next Level Racing Flight stand.. IF you look at Next Level keep in mind it isn't wide enough for most sim rudder pedals, the MFG crosswinds with width adj kit or CH Pro is about it...
  16. Would be happy to, but what are DDI's?
  17. The ICP was from a guy named Sebastion, i'll look for his contact info. The 8" monitors are Lilliput UM80 Touchscreens but I found the "touch" part unsatisfactory so I added the TM bezels to them using double-sided tape, work MUCH better..
  18. A simple setup is two Lilliput 8" screens, if you will use TM MFD's switches you don't need/want touchscreens. I found the touch to be a PITA, sometimes it worked fine, sometimes not. The TM MFDs work perfectly every time and they give you an extra 40 DX#'s to use in other sims/games. The Lilliputs use USB and not video ports so you will need up to 4 open powered USB slots to run them. Adding a 3rd just requires more USB slots! This is my setup (BMS 4.35.2 screen) using the two Lilliputs with the TM Bezels double-sided taped to them.. all the extra displays are done using Helios..
  19. That is the CPD (moving map showing) put there with Helios
  20. Maybe old news, just came across it..
  21. Thank you both, good to go! I will edit the start-up to match the YT Start-up video (if it isn't already 100%). As for the PDF manual's location, in my case it's C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\MosquitoFBMkVI\Doc\DCS DH Mosquito FB.VI Flight Manual EN.pdf
  22. Looked where all the others are (DCS online), please point me in the right direction!
  23. I have, in perfect working order, the following for sale only as a package: CH Fighterstick USB with new 12 bit mainboard and X\Y Axis magnetoresistive sensors (roller throttle is not active) CH Pro Throttle USB with new 12 bit mainboard and magnetoresistive sensor CH Pro Pedals USB with new OEM brake potentiometers They will come with all the removed OEM sensors\mainboards and some spares, all in perfect working condition. The stick is Plug and Play (just assign DX presses and Axis in DCS Settings) but may be re-programmed or calibrated using MMJoy2 (ver. 20160818..). CH Control Manager will NOT work with these mainboards installed, but the sensors are fine with it so swapping the mainboards back will allow it's use if desired (I had myriad of issues with CM in Win10). €200 shipped anywhere within the EU..
