[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
VladMordock replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
Hi, I've asked before, but it was lost in some discussion, any chance that the difficulty settings could be set per whole campaign (easy com off, no external views etc.) -

Yes Sir, the best those guys can do is to start new hype train. :smilewink: On the other hand I can imagine business model working this way... ;)
-
Sure, this statement gives no commitment - I knew the situation at the time of purchase, I really have no trouble with it. :) As I mentioned a few times I'm really disappointed, because I was hoping hornet to get out from early access stage much earlier than - as it looks - it will, but there is nobody else to blame than myself to get hyped by all those nice YT videos. :) The estimated (I also don't think ED will give the date) 2020+ is now something which we have to live with . :)
-
I think nobody wrote that - the thing which is "the problem" is the pace, if you take a look what was added in the last 5 months, see the list of WIP/TBD you will see that we have 2-3 more years ahead (I agree with folks claiming it earlier in the thread).

Yes, same for me. I might be a "whining girl" for some, but while jumping on a hype train created earlier this year I was hoping to get the final product (even in beta stage) within a year at maximum. Is anybody here who still believes to have this module multirole combat ready by the end of 2019 ? But I have to agree with Gierasimov - lesson learn for flight sims and all other early access, ask about release date before throwing bucks into to monitor. :smilewink: With this I cannot really agree - from law/formal point of view, that changes everything. If the deadline would no be met you would have at least a chance to start legal procedures to get your money back, currently (in theory, I now it's not the case) the development can take the next 10 years and we (customer) could not do anything with that. :smartass:
-
100% with you - I think what is missing is a clear information at the DCS shop, about planned release date of the early access module; I believe a lot of people would reconsider the purchase knowing that we are looking at the 2020/2021 final product release.
-
Yep, reading what was written above by some folks being longer with DCS than myself, I see that this might be the case. We will need to wait untill 2020/2021(?)... I just hope the momentum will be kept to and there will be no distraction to hornet's development. This post from Mr. Wags https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3671384&postcount=378 is a bit spooky for me, if there was at least 4 fte-years spend for hornet's development preparation and he already gives dates earlier than 2021/2022 for "viper news" that would mean that there all folks collecting data for Viper assigned already!? I personally would prefer to have those heads put into hornet, but I'm the 100% hornet guy myself - sorry Viper drivers... :smilewink: :)
-
Sure, I cannot wait to give those a try - but It seems we will have to wait 1 or 2 more years to be really multi-role combat ready (!?). Anyhow, thank you Silver_Dragon for making some of the things more clear!
-
You are absolutely right, I focused on having AA 100% completed and forgot about the AG capabilities with those nice, dev demanding toys. That would mean that all this leads more like to 2020/2021...!?
-
Sir, fully agreed and understood! @Silver_Dragon: If you would make a guess (wow, that's impressive forum history!) to answer some newbies, shall we hope for 2019 100% implementation ?
-
Sure, troubles as every other project in the world, I fully understand and are thankful for all that was delivered so far despite those critical roadblocks. :) @Gierasimov I can see you are DCS World user way longer than myself - using your past experience, what would be your expectation to have hornet at A10C level of quality: 2019, 2020, ...?
-
"the incident" - now you have my attention Sir, could you elaborate ?
-
Dear Sirs, Having read the latest mini update : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3671393&postcount=82 and looking at the development pace since EA release, the question which comes to my head is what's the time plan for 100% feature implemented goal ? Is there a plan to have hornet with all the features listed https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/hornet/ completed in 2019 or we shall look more likely into 2020? Great thank you in advance for information!
-
Thank you! This is impressive reply, I will study all the provided information. :smartass:

I have two questions about this great publications: https://1drv.ms/u/s!ApHW0_clkjG-g_5ZTxAp8OGYPl2zLw How to read this 5100 - this does not fir for me the vertical profile? How to read the Categories, how to use it in DCS? Great thanks in advance for help! :smilewink:

[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
VladMordock replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
Hi! Yesterday I have tried the LDC and - I must admit - I'm quite impressed, great job so far! As I would use it for 5-15 players in coop mode I have some questions: (feature request) Any chance to set the settings of the mission - we usually turn off map signatures, do not allow external views, easy com off etc. ? It would be nice to set difficulty settings per the whole campaign (feature request) Once easy com is off it would be nice to have com freqs generated and put into the briefing (feature request) As I would like to have this campaign live at our forum for some time - it would be nice to have a possibility of easy export to images/txt the following: Current map Current inventory in all BLUE bases Simple log what happened, so far since the beginning of the campaign Also it would be nice to have MP user names put into all the logs [*] I've read the manual for multiplayer, but still I'm a little lost - the manual says: So, once we think we are done with the mission (shall some popup appear?) the players can disconnect and what exactly shall be done at the host - shall I click "disconnect" and re-host the mission again? (assuming host is not playing) Great thanks in advance for support and multiple thumbs up for this excellent tool!:thumbup::thumbup: -
If there is a chance to improve skins availability by including high quality ones prepared by the community, I would suggest to make this information popular or maybe to think about something like "best skin competition" with some symbolic award (free module?). I believe that pulling the community work into the sim would be win-win for both sides and a lot of people are "hungry" for a nice new schemes of their favorites modules. :) It would be nice to see some "evil" paints at USAF Agressors side, especially with tomcat at the door and thousands of Mavericks waiting :smilewink: :

Dla przypomnienia oraz w celu zebrania solidnej obsady slotów: - dzisiaj na gildiowym dedyku Hammerstrike "by Barti" - https://forum.gildia.org/gildia/event?mid=209 (zapraszam gorąco, chcemy równocześnie serwer przetestować, ostatnio pracowaliśmy nad poprawą stabilności) - jutro spore wydarzenie "by Sowin" - https://forum.gildia.org/gildia/event?mid=196 (pierwsze starty o 16:00, choć planujemy loty/rozgrywkę do 02:00 - będzie czas na wykonanie jednego lub kilku lotów / zapraszam osoby zainteresowane slotem AWACS do kontaktu ze mną via PW) Jak zawsze zapraszam wszystkich serdecznie. :pilotfly:
-
No, 99% mission starts are cold and dark. We do briefings. The issue is thats it's hard to create mission milestones/initial sync. without knowing the possible model limitations (speed vs range). It would be good to have all this collected in one place. I've started already at https://forum.gildia.org/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=566 (don't bother with the language, the table shall speak for itself), but I'm still counting on input from others. :smilewink:
-

While preparing the MP missions for ca. 20 people flying different modules I find it hard to optimally plan the flights, as optimum cruise speeds are unknown for most of the models. I would assume 25kft flight altitude and "most common AA config" for the fighters as the benchmark config, did anyone try to collect all the models data already ? What source of data do you use during mission preparation with most popular models ?
