My Open Beta wanted to update from 2.5.2.18736.400 to the newest version as above. I get a notice that it can't update because the file DCS.exe already exists in the bin folder. I have a Paint picture with the two error messages if you wish to see them. I have also saved the log file text file also if that will help. I tried the Repair feature and it still happens. Hi, After 24 hours is states: DCS Updater 2.8.1.58 Downloaded: 3% (317.0 of 9025.0 MBytes). I am stopping the download because this is excessive. Please help. Everything else that I have updated has been rather quick. Thanks, Wayne

I have been trying to update my DCS 2.5 Open Bata to the current version(2.5.1.58) since Monday evening and it is taking a VERY VERY long time. I had it downloading via the auto updater the other day and today is disconnected itself and I had to restart the updater again. It has been updating for 3 hours and sitting at 137.2 of 9025.0 MBytes. Is there another way to d/l and install this quicker? Please help, I want to get flying the F/A-18C Hornet in the Persian Gulf Scenery. Many Thanks, Wayne

I am updating mine now. It took a bit to get "IT" figured out on where to go, but got it started and thanks for the step by step walk through. It helped me!! Thanks Again for everything you do and continue to do with DCS!! BRAVO!!!

I too have purchased this amazing aircraft. I have been flying the VRS F/A-18E Super Hornet in FSX for some time now and hope my transition and training is expedited because of this. I know this is an earlier version, but I should be able to get into the cockpit and get it doing basic flight, BVM's (Basic Fighter Maneuvers) and dropping some exploding stuff on targets. Can't wait to load it on my system!

Just started with DCS in the last 10 days and downloaded DCS World 2.1 along with preordered my copy of DCS: F/A-18C along with purchased and installed NTTR and love what I see. I see discusion with DCS World 2.2, but don't see where to update to that version. Is there something I am missing or can someone fill me in on this please. I am new to DCS and just installed DCS World 2.0 along with Nevada Test and Training Range map this past weekend and wondering if I can install this and fly here?
