AIM-120 Has anyone noticed how close you need to be to a target, before you get a "shoot" Que? I thought the AIM-120 was a medium to long range weapon? I never get the Shoot symbol until I am 6 to 7 nm from target

3 different groups of 4, B17G aircraft, will not bomb they're target. Have tried most of the options for attack. Bomb map object....Carpet bomb....formation carpet bomb.....bomb group.....bomb unit. Nothing works. I did manage to get one bomber to drop 2 bombs as gamemaster and targeting via the map.

In the mission editor, I can select the clipped wing version of the Mk 9, but when I go to the arming page, there is no option for drop tanks or bombs. Same for the unbobbed version. I have tried selecting a different task, still no tanks or bombs.

Like waiting for a drug dealer!

Since I am re-tired, I wont have to make up an excuse for missing work. The issue I have, is being awake at 12:01 AM, tonight, this morning, whatever, and booting up DCS World every half hour to check for the download. I WANNA HAVE IT!!!!!!!

I am just guessing here, but perhaps the map download isn't quite uploaded at the DCS website just yet? When it is complete, I will assume it will let you download it. Pure speculation on my part.

Just for some grins, I had an SH-60 helo take off from a Perry class ship, and fly an anti-ship mission. Shortly after the missile left it's rail, the ship it was targeting was hit by a couple of harpoon missiles, and sunk before the penguin got close. First of all, it seems the Penguin has a burn time of well......10 or 15 minutes.:cry: All the way to the target area the motor was burning. When it reached the spot the ship was before it sank, the Penguin went ballistic, and started doing circles continuously. As far as I know it was still at full thrust doing circles when I closed the mission editor.

Well that is welcome news! Actually 45 CM is what I can load in the mission editor, default 30/15. That wouldn't last long if you got jumped by a couple of Mig-29s.:cry:

I have made a few missions with the AI F/A18C, (non-flyable) and I noticed in the arming section for the hornet, it shows only 30 chaff, and 15 flares. Is this really all the F/A-18C carries?

Well I tried the mission again with a Russian destroyer added, and the harpoons sank that. Guess the carrier can take a lot of damage?

After watching every anti ship missile, (harpoon) fired at the Russian aircraft carrier shot down by the ships defenses, I set the boat's ROE to weapons hold. A total of 10 F/A-18Cs. carrying 2 harpoon missiles each, fired at the carrier. Every missile hit it's target. Absolutely no damage was inflicted on the carrier!:cry:

Hornet Hype This video is from way back in 2006. I was lucky enough to fly online with the pilot who did this video. If you look close when he turns his head, you will see he is a member of VFA-192. "The World Famous Golden Dragons". As old as this is, I still get chills watching it!

I have flown, Hornet Korea (Graphsims), F/A-18E Superbug addon for MS Flight Sim X , and EA Janes F/A-18. If DCS F/A-18 is done as well as the DCS A10C, It will be well worth the money. Just my opinion.:pilotfly:

A Hornet pilot in the Dragons I flew with online told me, when they painted that dragon on the tail, the pilots of VFA-192, said they wouldn't fly it unless they painted balls on the dragon!:megalol:

It seems since the last update all the ground objects at Nellis AFB have disappeared. I can roll a F15-C up to where the re-fuel-arm area was as I remember it. Ground crew will fuel and arm, but everything is gone. Canopy s, ground units generators it has vanished! Aliens from area 51 to blame?

3 Screens I have a Nvidia 1070 SC and it runs 3 screens just fine. Problem is, using the 1 screen option, @ 5760x1080, I can't get the view in the cockpit far enough back to view all the dash panel. With the 3 screen option if I move the cockpit view back where I can see the dash correctly I see the wings pointing forward in about a 45 degree angle, and my seat back in each side monitor.
