Well I was finally able to get the non-MT to load. I have no idea why it would not yesterday when I tried. It was like it had been removed . I have tried to get the MT version to work but for me is very buggy . The non MT I have no issues with right now. One day when I have some time I will play with it and see if I can get it sorted out but its not an issue for me right now.

Ever since they added this "Multi-threading" I have had nothing but problems and now with today's update they removed the ability to load DCS without multi threading. However, this new update is worse than the previous as it has made the game unplayable for me and I have spent hours today trying to get it to work and nothing works. I get constant stutters and long lock-ups. It is super annoying right now. Does anyone have any suggestions if they have had this issue?

Has anyone started making icons for the F-4E yet for the StreamDeck?

Well this would be what I am basically looking for if it ever gets released.....Keeping my fingers crossed...

I do not understand why there is not any as it is. As it seems the Cold War era seems to be taking hold for a long while. There are some vehicles that have been done none of the more common ones for some odd reason. There are plenty of Warsaw Pact vehicles but none for the US / NATO..... Plus a lot of the Cold War era would be good for the more modern era as a lot of countries like Lebanon , Israel and such have used our surplus stuff for decades and still do....

DCS really needs pre-HUMVEE era vehicles . Like M-151A2 MUTT , M-35A1 2 1/2 ton trucks , M-113 APCs , and such. Is anyone working on this ?

That is a probable possibility but the next few weeks will tell. We will see....

Well , It wont make this "Winter" either. There are too many factors why it wont make a March release I see . Which is only 4 months away. Everyone keeps speculating and believing the "Winter" release but a lot of statements made by the team working on it throw even that in doubt so I do not believe it will make it. I have said maybe a June or July release but I would not at all be surprised if it is this time next year before it comes out. HB has given zero confidence in their divination abilities and they should have just said it will be out when its done and they should have made no claims of a date until they where actually done with almost zero chance of a delay...Just my opinion on the subject. They actually made 3 predictions of a release before the "This Winter" release announcement but in a statement I saw last night they seem not confident in that.

No. Its called living in reality not fantasy...

Honestly I believe it is in no way going to be released before the end of this year. They will have to give it some time on Steam at the reduced price to make up for those who were able to get it that do not use Steam. We are 2 weeks from December there is not enough time. Second we still have no videos yet of it that are not just fancy cinematic teasers. Also as far as I can tell none of the Youtube content makers have copies of it to make training vids or review vids. All that combined says no 2023 release. I do not see them releasing this before maybe late February or March at the earliest . But I believe we wont see it released before Spring or early summer 2024. I know everyone will say "They said this winter". Well they can say whatever they want and they made no statement saying it will be released by this date.

I have watched the release vid several times now since Sunday and the more impressed I am the more I see. I have ALWAYS wanted an F-4 since I first started playing flight sims back in the late 80's. I grew up around the F-4 as a kid in the 1970's and early 80's on MacDill AFB where the 56th Tactical Fighter Wing trained Phantom pilots and it was then I fell in love with that aircraft. I had always dreamed that flightsims would advanced to where they are now and I do believe that this Phantom module must be the very tip of the spear at this point. I ordered it 2 minutes into the video premier on Sunday and I cannot wait to be able to jump into it when it is finally released. I am glad it was HB that took on the job of creating the Phantom as the F-14 is a phenomenal mod and the F-4 looks to even surpass that....

I read about the Crew Chief feature but I was wondering are the air field start up equipment going to be included for during the start up process? ( the air unit and generator)

Here is the glare shield on my F-4C panel that I am restoring at this time. You can plainly see the fiberglass as the surface gets worn as you have said.

You are correct. It is running in Multi Threading Preview... I ran it back to the none MT version and it is back to normal...THANKS for the info and Help...

I am not running Multi thread. Never have. The update tanked my FPS and any adjustments I make to the settings on improves if marginally . I plan to play around with it over the weekend but seeing how I went from smooth graphics to the sim becoming completely unplayable after the update I do not think there is any adjustments that will get me back to where I was at.

I am having the same stuttering issue as well after the 2.9 update except not in MT. I had no issues before the update but it is so bad DCS is unplayable now. Lowering the clouds detail down from ultra to a lower setting helped some but still have the stuttering and freezing issue. Just a little less .

I did the same as you but My performance is horrible now. I cannot even play because it is so bad. Not really sure why. Everything was fine before the update and I have my setting set to what they were then but did not make a difference...

My performance took a huge hit with this update...Very jittery and stutters a lot. I made no graphics changes just to see and make sure the update worked.Anyone else having similar issues?

Show me any proof it wont be 3 years....Their word and time line has been bad and wrong from the very beginning on it. All we get is "SOON" which could be 6 months or 20 years depending on what they are gauging it against..

Three years from now we will still be seeing the phrase "SOON" for the Phantom...The truth is they jumped the gun on this thing from the start in every conceivable way and for a whole host of reason in and out of their control but nearly all foreseeable IMHO...

You have to think of time in geological terms with this thing...They keep saying "Soon" and that means its still 2 to 3 years away from release at least...I wager by the time it is actually ready to be released there is going to be a world wide economic collapse and it wont matter...
