Well we wont know until it is actually released or they actually give a "REAL" update on where it stands.....They are either going to release it in a short order way once they finally do a massive update or they are really so far behind on it that it is still more than a year out for a release and they figure its best to just not say anything to keep the anger that would for sure be sent their way if they came out and said it was no where near a state to really be released any time soon. Personally I think they have done a very poor job managing the release . But once they do release it everyone including me will forget all this .

I had never had an issue like this until now...I guess I will have to disable it when I use the F-16. I have not tested any other modules to see if they have the same issue or similar...

Thanks for the help. I will try there but I noticed looking someone else had the same exact issue I am having 2 years ago and no one ever answered them...

Only the first one worked . The other two scripts still caused the same CTD after selecting WPN.

That did not work... It crashed the same as before when I went to the WPN page for the HARM...

That seemed to have fixed the issue so far. THANKS!!!!!

So I have been playing around with and I have found that when I select the Weapon page on the left TDC it works and the game does not crash.However, if I select the weapons page on the right TDC it always crashes on any map so far I have tried it.

I removed the MODS ran the slow repair and it still crashes when the HARM is selected on the TDC page.

Every time I select the HARM and go to the TDC and select the weapon the game crashes....I have included a log file... dcs.log-20230416-143944.zip

I have come to believe that HB 100% knew back at the beginning of 2022 that this thing was at least 2 to 3 years away from being released. It was all a marketing gimmick and done to create hype and nothing more to lead people on believing it was further along than the reality was. even with the misfortune of world events that did throw a wrench in things. It is what it is but I personally believe it was a poor choice and still is to continue with total silence on it after creating all this hype and division. I think we deserve better than just "When its ready we will let you know." I know many others feel differently and mindlessly defend HB for some unknown reason . They are without a doubt the premiere developer for DCS but their public relations sure does not reflect that and needs improvement...

Supposedly there will be some news in the next 6 months according to some post by someone from HB some where...Personally I feel its a year or more out from release. But we will see. Im not optimistic about it at all.

What you are saying is exactly how I feel as well. It makes no sense to me at all. A year ago you got the impression that this was in advanced stages before the unforeseen events took hold but even then they played the "We have it under control" ... I just think it is poor customer relations to just keep people thinking we will see it soon to dead silence. This has been one giant buzz kill for me ..

I would assume that they will say something officially very soon about the status. If not that is very poor customer relations. But given it seems they are 6 months out from even showing anything ( I know the post said less than 6 months but 1 day short is less than 6 months) I would guess this thing will not be ready before the end of this year or maybe not even then. Given what seemed to be HB's optimistic statements all last year I would have guessed it was much further along and we would see it at least before this spring but I do not feel that is the case now. All this is speculation of coarse but based on what we have seen and what tiny fraction of information we have. We could be 2 years out from seeing it. If even then... How long has the F4u Corsair been waiting at the gate? or any number of other aircraft being developed. Seeing what we were allowed to see in the ED vid the other day does give me some hope but I would rather just be 100% negative about it at this point as so not to be disappointed any more...

The Germans F-4's were at Holloman AFB...The Luftwaffe still trains there at the GAF Flying Training Center but now its TORNADO aircrews since the Phantoms are gone.

HB did state in a comment response on their FB page that the vid was not the "In-Game" aircraft and that the vid was made and produced by a third party . I remembering them posting that vividly...

Its true that they were hit by many things totally out of their control and if I understand what I have read in this forum they have tried to work around those issues. That being said not making any official statements up to this point if in fact they 100% know it will not be released anytime soon is wrong IMHO. They should have just said months ago that due to situations out of our control we cannot release this until some time after the first of the year or until Q2 , Q3, or Q4...Instead they have continued to give vague statements and hinted that it will still be released by the end of 2022 ( which I in no way believe). I have the feeling they are not going say anything at all and ED will not say anything either since it is not their Module. They are just going to go into the new year and leave everyone in the same place we are at now. Speculating , arguing , and frustrated. We will see what the next few days holds. If we hear nothing at all this Friday then We will not hear anything anytime soon.

They should just say the new release date is Q4 2025 and be done with it. So when they have it all ready to go and release it before that date everyone one can be giddy and excited and there will be no disappointment..

LOL!!!! I wish that was the case... I would accept a delay for the F-4 if we would get a Thud....

I mean you just do not get what I am saying ...What I said has no relation to that and was response to the statement I "quoted" in that post.. READ.....

Then why make the BIG reveal saying that the F-4 would be released in 2022? The F-15E was in the pipeline already and ED had to have known that it was planned for release this year..If what you say is the case then we were being lied to from the very start .... I would hope and believe that all parties involved would have better sense and higher ethics than that....

I was thinking exactly that when I saw the Viggen post earlier today. However, I have never seen a module that is being kept so much under wraps and little to no information on which leads to endless amount of directions...

Its not being "Pessimism for the sake of pessimism". There is a track record of this happening on DCS over the years...How many aircraft have been in development with promises of a soon release that just vanish and are never seen or heard from again? And just because HB seems to be more together than some developers dose not make them immune from such things...I truly hope that it is released soon and maybe it will be .However, I see zero evidence that is the case and even at the start of when they made the announcement nearly a year ago there was nothing to show where things stood or at what stage things were at. I understand world events did throw a huge wrench in their plans if indeed their 2022 release date was truly a real thing but making expectations and then leaving people in the dark is not the way I would do things....Thats just the way I see it any time now in the next few weeks we will hopefully know one way or the other. If they hold to their word about at least making a official statement.
