  1. I’ve landed at a field just as my main gear touched down it ran out and all the light went off, nothing I’m proud of but I was amazed for a min that I made it back. Plus was a good reason to hit the parking break and watch it skid and do a 180, I grounded myself pending further investigation.
  2. Looks awesome bud!
  3. Yeah I would wanna look at the switch i was just asking to see how they worked. It pretty much replaces the mouse in the cockpit for you? I think I might get one, I wanna ditch my mouse so bad and use my left hand to do all the switches. I love the direction this is all going and I can’t wait for the feedback ones they are going to be what it’s all about. Thx for your reply!
  4. Do they have feedback like being able to feel the switches and the cockpit wall. Even if it just replaces the mouse I’d buy the left hand one. Can u hold a switch and look to the side and flick it or do u have to look at the switch while u use it?.
  5. I’ve had it come up even when the radar was turned on, I had to switch it to the hud and back to the radar and then the cross goes away. Pretty sure I read it from here about a week ago, not sure if it was something I’m doing wrong or it’s just WIP. I remember from one of wags insterview videos he says to turn the radar right to operate when on the ground because it don’t emit anything with weight on wheels.
  6. I’m wondering if I got one of them gaming keypads with the scroll wheel button, I could use the 8 way hat and two buttons as a mouse. Does anyone have one and got it to map as the mouse? I want to get away from using my left hand to control the mouse in VR and if I could setup the mouse controls on a gaming keypad I’d kill two birds with one stone. Have a few extra keys I need and be able to fly while clicking a switch in the cockpit. I’d have it setup to the left of my throttle? Can anyone tell me if this will work or not before I buy one and find out it’s not possible. :joystick: Thanks!!

    2018 roadmap

F15e and mig 23! Well that made my day so thx Rabam..
  8. Tankers are usually set to 1x unless the mission planner changes it. If they change the tacan then they most likely would add it in the mission briefing.
  9. They could add the manuals to the module icons at the bottom of the main menu. that way it wouldn’t take up any room. I remember seeing in the Esc menu but don’t think I worked it out. Even if it wasn’t in game and was just a link to the files that opened.

    Flashlight

I love my flash light, there is a setting so you can have it a white or green light.
  11. im Looking for someone in the US or Canada who wants to play casual pretty much everyday around 4-5pm est on weekdays and weekends. Been playing with my friend for the last few years but he has all of a sudden given up on the game. I do have a teamspeak channel and most of the modules but I’m mostly interested in the F18, M2000, F5, F15 and the harrier. We had a thing going where I’d make a quick mission and send it to him and he would add in a few things and we’d play it and adjust it as we go. Mostly bombing practice and some A/A and since the hornet I’ve been doing solo traps and I just hooked up to a tanker for the first time but I still need some practice. Not really looking for a big group or a squad or anything too hardcore. If ur a loner like me hit me up and lets blow some stuff up.
  12. I’m sure there are many other things that should come first but I wanted to just throw it out there just in case someone ran out of stuff to do :pilotfly: First off, at the main menu when you first load in, be nice to have an icon or something to click that takes us right to all of the manuals for the modules we own. That way, we don’t have to read thru them out of game and i think it would help some new people who have no idea where they are or that they even exist. Next would be the option in VR to add any of the modules we own to take the place of the mig29 in the hanger, maybe have it linked to the main screen picture so what ever picture we pick for our main screen would also add the aircraft to the hanger screen. I read somewhere that there is a way to do it but it’d be nice if it was an option in the game itself. Last thing that came to mind would be an option at the main menu to check for updates manually. Anyway, that’s Just my 2 cents, I’m pretty happy with everything else and I really can’t complain, well maybe the way the game is updated, be nice if it updated like a normal game off a server and not p2p but I’m sure there is a good reason why they do it that way.
  13. I’ve never felt sick in dcs with my rift. Get that feeling like u get when u jump off a bridge into water when I’m looking around upside down sometimes but nothing like a sickness. The only time I have ever experienced feeling sick from VR was in project cars 2 and only in the go-karts. Something about turning really fast and being low to the ground that my head and stomach don’t like. It was weird at first I started feeling hot and bothered and I wasn’t sure what the problem was until I took it off and pretty much was off it the rest of the day. I can drive the normal cars in that game without a problem. The only thing that I get from DCS is just wearing the HMD after about 30 mins it is a relief to take it off. Most time I just work thru it because like someone else said before, u need to take a break every now and again until u are use to having something covering face and head. I guess it depend on you and ur own personal preference. not a problem for me and adds way more to the game then it takes away from being uncomfortable. Good luck with ur decision, see if you can try out a set from someone first before dropping the cash.
  14. My laptop is an old i7 16gb ram and a 780m and it ran everything including the PG map fine up until I installed the hornet and that last patch. After that it was almost unplayable so last night I noticed a video driver update and ran it. Also I set the bottom main graphics settings to low with first two settings on high, water on high and distance on high and left everything else either off or on low. Same settings I used before the hornet. After I updated the GPU and reset my settings back to how they were it’s running much better now. I thought it was time to upgrade it but right now it’s working fine again. On a side note I flew home on the weekend and played the PG map on my 1080 in VR and all I kept saying was wow. The rain drops and flying thru them clouds blew me away, I can’t wait to get home again.
  15. Took me all night with the hotel I’m staying at WiFi and the rest of the day for the map, it was unpacking when I got home from work but that only took another 20mins and I was on. I have to say, I’m using my older gamer laptop with first gen i7 and a 780m video card with 16gb ram and it runs really good, not even on my ssd. I have both textures and water set to high and everything else is off or low. Distance set to far too lol and it’s super smooth, I’m pretty impressed. Anyway I’m flying home this weekend to see it on my 1080 rig in VR. Can’t wait, home run ED, this week has felt like Xmas for a lot of us, all ur hard work is appreciated. Thanks for being awesome!!!
  16. Well that’s good news cos I was starting to think I just really suck. As long as I set the waypoints up in the ME and use the jtac I can do full night missions and get hits. I just wanted to learn as much as I could about navigating before the FA18 came out so I wasn’t completely lost. I have learnt a lot in just the last week. I should try and learn the harriers systems now but im having so much fun flying the M2k. Low lever CCIP snake eye drops sound like fun too.
  17. Thanks YoYo and Sunski. Ima give it a go tonight Been pulling my hair out for almost two weeks, small victories like this is what keeps us sane. :P
  18. Don’t matter how hard I try or how many times I do the math when I try to make a BAD offset IP on the move it ends up being way off where I wanted it to go. I watched another video where the guy said to just /60 off the seconds not x100/60 and that helped with making the waypoints, was close enough for the LGB to pick up the jtac laser. So now I tried the same thing but making an offset IP and it’s too far away to hit anything. Trying to drop 8 mk82 without a jtac. I have the waypoints set in the ME so when I try to make WP 3 the offset in the game it seems to work and I get the turn que but the X is off maybe 50m to the left and 100m in front. I tried to take the Long and lat from the ME and when that didn’t work I tried getting them off the map in the game and both ways the cross ended up too far away. Any ideas?
  19. So I watched that vid and a few more and it seems I had much more to learn then I first thought so I went back to learning the INS alignment and how to add in waypoints. Seconds X100/60 and I think it’s a bit clearer now. I entered the new waypoints in WP1 was to the target and Jtac and WP2 was back to the airbase and that all seem to of worked although the cross for WP1 was about 2miles off. I had the map setup at night at the beginning but went back to day time so I could see what was going on. when I got to the part where i dropped the bomb I forgot to say Laser On. I’m going to need some more practice and maybe go thru all this info again. I do have a question tho and it might have something to do with why my WP didn’t show up over the targets and that is when I do the math, let’s say 34X100/60 it comes to 56.666 do I round it off to 57 or just put in 56? What I’m looking to do is fly at night so I can’t see the jtac smoke and I need the WP to be close enough to aim at so the bombs to pick up the laser. I’m not flying that far maybe for 5mins so I don’t think the INS is drifting, maybe I should set another waypoint up before the target and reset the drift before heading to the targets? Thanks for the help, I’ve only had this module for about 2 weeks and I can’t seem to put it down. Just the thought of being able to fly at night and know how to setup waypoints on the fly will make it worth it once it all sinks in.
  20. Thx jojo, I will give it a try tonight.
  21. Do you have a link to where we can download it and it's already updated YoYo? Was looking for the same thing. Do u just alt tab out of the game, run the mod and put in the jtac coordinates and copy paste? Or do u have to write it down? Or is it automatic? Will it work for a ground unit In the map page? After I click on a target, how do I get the long and lat from the map page? I watched a few videos on it but it really didn't help me understand. Sounded like I have to do a bunch of math. Thanks!!
  22. let me know if u still need help and tonight and when I get out I will make something up for u quickly. U have version 2.5.1 right? Also what map are you trying this on? I've been using NTTR so I haven't checked it on the others yet.
  23. I got 4 out of 4 hits last night with the jtac. I had to press F2 for Terminate after each kill then turn around and just before I started to line it up again I pressed F1 for laser on. Not sure if that's how it's always been but that worked for me. The only issue I had was with the GBU24s they don't seem to see the laser and the rocket pods on the end pylons I couldn't get to shoot. I just put my rockets on the 2nd from the wing mounts and those ones worked.
  24. After this last update my jtac and LGBs are working again. I just love this little fighter, I really haven't flown anything else since I got it. Thanks Razbam!
  25. It's not the m2000: I had this issue about a week ago and I posted here about the 9line not working. From what I understand it's only in 2.5.1. So u made the same mistake as me. Trying to learn a new jet and downloading a new beta update at the same time. I learnt my lesson the next time I want to learn a new module Ima do it on the release version. blaming anyone but myself for this mistake is pointless, sorry.
