Dude....cobra just said above that the date is “immutable”. Do you know what that means? Obviously not...go look it up. It’s the most definitive statement with no ambiguity that I’ve ever seen him post.
-
Ok. Thanks.

There is one thing that is confusing me. Heatblur has promised to deliver the module in early access on or before March 21. However, they now say that they cannot reveal an actual release date as it is now entirely in ED's hands. So...like, how can Heatblur guaranty a release no later than 3/21, if the actual release date is totally at the discretion of ED? Has ED committed to the NLT 3/21 date too? Thanks.

I stand corrected. Gorgar is really thrilled with the wait. I don't speak for him.
-
Rest assured...we are already very disappointed. The disappointment comes from a very good place, and as a consumer yourself, I'm sure you, and everyone on the HB team understand. I guess the thing that is most frustrating is that you guys always fall back on "we have always said you will have it before 3/21/19, and nothing more." But this is not entirely true...there have been a lot of ambiguous or contradictory statements made with little to no clarification, and every time a statement is made about a release, or a release date being "days away", there is almost always a subsequent comment that adds to the uncertainty of where things actually stand.
-
I can't be the only one who finds comments like this staggering at this point. We've been told for weeks that a release date is literally right around the corner. We are now right around the corner from the very public deadline...so what exactly are we waiting for at this point?
-
I think Wags is traveling this week, so its unlikely to come before next week. I can't imagine a release with Wags potentially out-of-pocket.
-
Yeah, fine...that's not the point I'm making though. I'm just saying that these tiny little meaningless updates from Heatblur about being really close to announcing more dates at this point is silly and quite frankly, a bit antagonizing. Just my opinion.
-
At this point, saying they are very close to announcing a "release date" is ridiculous. Comments like that are just more irritating than anything else at this stage. I mean, we know it'll release on or before 3/20, which is 4 weeks away. At this point, nobody is waiting for a date. We are waiting for a release, period. "We're really close to announcing a date on which we will announce a date that we are going to reveal the release date." Ha! No thanks. Just release the stupid thing already, or don't...but stop dicking around.

More of a general comment, but I had the X55 Rhino for years and thought it was good enough to not warrant an upgrade to something significantly more expensive like the Warthog...well, I picked up the Warthog on a whim recently (I actually found it on a store shelf locally) and was amazed by the difference. All this time I have been struggling against the controls and I had no idea how bad it was until I had something superior to compare it to. Perhaps I needed to mess around with the X55 deadzone and curves, etc., but the Warthog felt significantly better right out of the box. So far, worth every penny.

Good. Then just shut up and stay quiet. People can't express their opinions unless its wild praise? I didn't think I had to consider all of my life's great pains and disappointments before expressing frustration with something superficial. I think you're the one that needs to put life in some perspective. Maybe see a therapist? I said I was disappointed and frustrated, not suicidal.
-
Yup. That is exactly how I feel. I don't feel that Heatblur has an obligation to do or say anything more than they already have, but the experience of waiting for the release has become negative for me due to the team's general silence and lack of substantive updates. I feel like the timing and nature of the initial EA announcement together with the information flow ever since has not been handled very well. There is a way to build positive excitement, and then there is a way to build frustration over a drawn out period toward release. I feel Heatblur has failed at the former and succeeded at the later.
-
I'm punching out at this point. I'm frustrated with coming here several times a day over the last few weeks for updated information on the development of the module, and seeing nothing but fan speculation and few if any official comments or updates from the team. I'm not even talking about more release date info. Just more general info. on the module and how things will look and work. There have been no official videos, hardly any screen shots, no more monthly updates. Half the fun of the build up to an EA release is seeing the module showcased. The lead up to EA for the Hornet was much more enjoyable, and although it was just as hard to wait, it felt much more satisfying having something to look at and follow. As crazy as it sounds, the silence is just too antagonizing to me. Just my own personal feeling. So for now, I'm going to refocus on the Hornet, and when the Tomcat hits I'll look at it when I can.

Nah...trust me. I can take it lower.

Manuals are great for aiding sleep and for when taking a dump. PSA: Do not read for too long while sitting on the toilet. It is bad for your rectum and can lead to hemorrhoids. That is all.
-
How long before someone snips the above quote and claims Cobra was talking about release of the actual module? Bets?
-
Is getting the coffee stain totally perfect and authentic going to further delay release of the module?
-
My hunch is that we are not going to see the manual or a lot more video content before there is a release of the first candidate. I think they simply will not have the time and rather than piss everyone off and make the community more anxious than it already is, I don't think they will hold the release up any longer than they absolutely have to.
-
On January 20th, they said this... To me, the "height of our release push" and "Release Candidate 1 is just around the corner" shouldn't mean a March 20th release date. Controlling expectations is well and good, but at this point, we're looking at, analyzing and taking apart every little bit of information we get. If this doesn't come in the first half of February I'll be miffed.

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but is there a way for solo players to learn the backseat in flight? In other words, there has been so much work put into creating RIO AI, has there been any effort to create even a rudimentary pilot AI, so that a solo player can jump into the RIO role? I presume the absence of conversation around a pilot AI means the answer is no. Thanks
-
I was making a general observation, not commenting on your pointless banter. Maybe you should pay attention?
-
They have acknowledged this so many times, it is hard to believe that anyone following the issue of a release date could still be debating, or have any question concerning the issue.

What is the crime in simply being really excited for the release of this module and expressing disappointment and frustration over the wait? At least with my comments here, there is no attack on the developer. In fact, it is to the contrary...the excitement is a credit to what Heatblur has so apparently accomplished. Really, there is no need to "rush" to the defense of the developer here. Relax.
