  2. it should be fine to just download the A4 folder into "...\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft" try to open with a text editor the DCS.log file in the \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Logs\ folder, and see if there is any error related to the A4 or better yet paste it here and share it so we can give it a look https://pastebin.com/
  3. ok i've found a way to start and stop the carrier for re-arming and restart the plane using this script here by Wrench https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=213662 I made a very simple mission with everything already set and 4 Skyhawks on deck for those that aren't familiar with the mission editor the script also provides bearing, range, and coords for the carrier it just isn't very fast to stop the ship at first :joystick: (i just think it just won't stop it until the ship has turned into wind :pilotfly:) I've just tested it in a couple of sorties but I already think it's perfect for the A4 needs :thumbup: a4startstopcarrier .miz
  4. my workaround to have rearm ability is to use a static carrier landing is not much different, while taking off definitively is i wanna look into the ME and see if i can use flags to have the ship to start and stop by my command question: is the missile damage model going to see any changes in the next version?
  5. i've no idea where the radio stops working aside the basic rearm\refuel systems in wags video the f18 had a greyed out stennis atc aswell, and the stennis didn't reply anyway when i get within 55miles of the stennis, the ball turns on
  6. radio in the stennis and declare that you are inbound, the ball should start working right after that (this was mentioned by wagz in an f18 video) i've basically only been doing carrier landings and i always have the ball on the stennis, even when taking off from an airbase, it's usually already on if you take off from the carrier EDIT: actually i've checked and the ball turns on as soon as i get close to the carrier

  8. this guy is using both the catapult and the deflector when launching from the carrier... i thought this was not possible?
  9. oh...found it ^^ thanks yea but I was looking for a way to refuel and rearm ^^ I saw a video with a startup on carrier aswell, that's why i was thinking i might had been doing something wrong Turns out, it is indeed possible to startup with a static ship, it's a hell of a ride to take off tho :joystick::lol: I've also found out that SA-6 missiles don't do a scratch to the A4 (1.02) :o but two R-27will do the job, so it's not really impervious to missiles
  10. First of all... Thank you guys SO much for this amazing mod!! I have been flying only the A4 since the day it was released, doing carrier landing attempts over and over, and i love it!! I've a little issue tho, which i already sent into the bugtracker, but i wonder if i'm doing something wrong here In order to spawn on carriers, i need to set the plane with the engine running, but if i want to decide the loadout after i've spawned I need to shut the engine off, and so far so good. issue is... i can't get ground power to start the engine back up. the ground power model falls through the stennis' deck and the needles in the cockpit move for an instant and then go back to off position am i missing something, or is it a known bug i've missed in over 60 pages ?

  12. I'll definitively won't be getting it anytime soon. I hugely regret buying Normandy, have barely flown on it, mostly due to the fact that it was a ghost town online in over a year from its release. And during that time i kept an eye on the server browser noticing that NTTR wasn't very populated either. I've no interest in SP. So Caucasus is the way :thumbup: I'd like to see the amount of hours made by MP users vs SP users.
  13. Light-heavy bombers that were used on Normandy and that would help improve the sense of environment for the WW2 set.
  14. I think everybody is right in a way here, but please guys, since it won't change anything arguing about the righteousness of expecting updates or not... could you stop bumping up old threads with the words F-14 and UPDATE in it? At least for today :D
  15. I'm also wondering if it will be possible to play LSO, they are pilots afterall, or if human LSO will be there at all..could it be just a CombinedArms thing?
