  1. On 9th and 10th July, The Fighter Collection will be running the Flying Legends airshow at Duxford airfield, Cambridgeshire UK (http://www.fighter-collection.com/). Igor Tishin and myself will be there. If any Lock On owners are attending, we'll be outside "The Friends of the Fighter Collection" tent between 12.00 and 12.30 on both days. Jim
  2. Hi Rich, Confirm all works OK. I always put your files in C:TRAINING. BTW - how do you achieve such smooth changing views? Are you using TrackIR? Best regards Jim
  3. Is anyone building models of buildings? I am particularly interested in English rural buildings, farms, cottages, barns etc. If so, please contact me. Many thanks Jim
  4. Dear Sardukar, If there is a local distributor in Australia who would like to act as a distributor for the retail version of Flaming Cliffs, then email me their contact details. Eagle Dynamics has an open distribution policy. Jim
  5. The PCs at the London Air Show had Matrox Parhelia cards, which can drive 3 screens, giving 120 degree view. Jim
  6. Thank you all for your replies, it is most helpful. We'll start evaluating teamspeak and Ventrilo now, Best regards Jim
  7. I'd appreciate some advice. We have a private LAN (not wireless) running Lock On, not connected to the Internet. We need to implement voice comms. Is Ventrilo a solution, with one PC set up as the Server, and the rest as Clients? Or is Ventilo just for Internet use? Jim
  8. Great initiative. I too have been looking for maps. You can buy on the internet (ie Amazon) a map of the Crimea at 1:300,000 scale. It is about 1.1 metres X 1.1 metres. Source is Institut Geographique National. 3615 IGN, published in 1997. I have yet to find a discrepancy between this map and the Lock On Crimea. I have covered it with "Coverfilm", and therefore can plan mission/tasks with a non-indelible marker, which rubs off. Can be folded OK as in the air maps that are used by pilots. For greater definition, see thread "Rivers on Maps" where you can get maps at 1:100,000. In practice, the military use 1:50,000, so if anyone knows a source, I'd be interested to know. Jim
  9. There are maps here that cover the Crimea and Caucasus. They are at 1:100,000, but in Russian. I use them for detailed mission planning for CAS and Ground Strike. Note that agricultural areas as well as woods/forests are in green, unlike OS maps which use green just for wooded areas. http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/EART/topo.html Jim
