That would be a nice option , i have not thought to try it out that way , something to try out .

What i like to do is put the Mirage in to longitude mode with the v key , quick lock and fire , that way you dont need to look at the radar , works very well .

I have flaming cliffs cd version and i want to install it on a new computer . I uninstalled a long time ago now from my old laptop . When i try to install it to my new computer i get an error 3 message , which i believe is something to do with downloaded/corrupted files . Is this because i'm installing to a new comp and i have to buy a new disc ? I really dont want to do that tbh and i dont fully understand this Starforce and how it works either . Any help is much appreciated . Thx in advance .

I spent a bit of time tweaking my profile for track ir but at the end of the day it worked out the box with a warranty , customer support , not a thought of frame rate drops , and a forum and updated drivers every few months . I'm a lasy bastard and i would rather save and spend £130 for the 4 pro including the track clip and get a seal of approval from the likes of ED . Love track ir , couldnt live without it , and apart from a few niggles as i said it worked out the box . Plus i get the peace of mind that if it does break , Bob at RC sims will replace it no q's asked . Each to thier own , track ir for me . I aint knocking those that went for cachya.

I've been getting this same problem Jared and i only just cured it yesterday and i dont really know what i did to fix it . There is a file you can edit in the natural point folder but it's been a while since i messed with it and i cant remember what to do now exactly and google shows nothing . I think its the timeout setting . One thing i have just noticed though is when i opened my tracking window the 3 lights werent dead in the middle so i moved the censor on top the moniter until they were . Best bet though is have a play like others have said once you get it right you'll wonder how you managed without it . :pilotfly:

You can edit timeout and increase the time before it snaps back to center but i forget how its done now .

I like to push to go up . And pull to come down , and so does my wife .:music_whistling: She also prefers it non inverted hehehe .

It would be a good idea to start your own map and map your own axis out of game in direct mode and then clear all the in game ones and then reset them in game . With my experience with these controllers it is the best way to go and once your familiar it is very easy . I cant help much more without adding walls of text and completely confusing you . If i owned a helicopter throttle then i would pull , as i own a jet throttle ,then i'm gonna push . And i fly in full sim mode and it feels as, authentic as is possible ,sat at a machine playing a game/sim. ;)

you'll be surprised how many ppl make that mistake at first , me included . :joystick:

i own one and a throttle and they can be tempramental (spelling ?) at times mainly with the BS config and the software for the sticks . I would advise you to get used to the software that comes with the CH because its easy to create conflicts that will play you up . Its not a DCS fault or a CH fault its just computer software doing what it always does in general .There are a few modes to them - Direct mode and mapped mode so some knowledge of the way they work is a must to avoid conflicts . A good referance site for you and the best support you'll ever get for a joystick coming up . i rarely use FD mode unless i'm in deep trouble and all the alarms are sounding . I've got so used to flying with the AP assists on now, FD is a get out of trouble mode and i think this is realistic also . It does sink in it just takes a bit of time to refine it and fully understand it .

As far as i'm aware , most of the English version is in English with a russian accent . Only the irrelevant stuff is in russian . Only a couple of days in you've not even made a chip in the ice yet . Its your choice but there is much more to this sim than the subtitles . IL 2 comes with subtitles and what a great game/sim that is . But as others have said , its your choice , and good luck . Ch sticks for me . I recommend the x52 though over the logitech , i have many friends that use it and love it . It costs more but its a proper HOTAS and i dont think you would be dissapointed from what i hear about it . Track ir is a must the immersion it brings is amazing .

In my experience , i didnt have to do anything it just worked by default . If your track ir sensor is showing a green light then you should be good to go . You might want to play about with the track ir settings and get a feel for it , play about with profiles , and adjust the sensitivity etc . And its always best to plug it direct to your comp and not a usb hub cos that can cause a few problems for some ppl . Good luck and enjoy your new toy :)

Just a heads up,If your plugged into a usb hub you'll get problems . Track ir is always best plugged directly to your comp . In my experience anyway .

This problem is easily solved by moving the shkval cursor towards its heading . It stops dead and off you go again , happy days . I dont think its a bug , its due to the sensor gimbals etc etc unless i didnt RTFM properly , which is quite likely . :smilewink: I love you ED . kiss kiss . :pilotfly:

I need help , i deleted my logbook in game to create a new one and now i get a Blackshark/modules/me_nil player error message and i cant load up BS at all . Anyone know how to fix this problem ? Any help is much appreciated , i'm getting withdrawal already . I dont really want to do a re install if i can help it cos i've not created a proper stick file yet , only in game . :doh: Thx in advance .

Doesnt matter what i do to the options config , its either on or off . I would love to have the same amount as Glowing Ammram in that video . Maybe a mod , sooner or later . For now i'm satisfied . Amazing game/sim .:)

I love the Glowing Amraam :- Fun with trains vid , and if there is a way i want my ground dust/smoke effects as big . I'm either flying this bird wrong or there is a way to turn the dust/smoke setting up in config or something . Love this sim DCS its amazing i'm hooked big TY, and Glowing Amraam i want that track you used for the vid to add to my in game radio station i love it. :thumbup:
