Hi, Thanks for replying. I saw those larger (longer) VR facial interfaces. I am worried that if the standard version does not fit the longer version would not fit either. So I purchase a second hand PS4 Vr headset. I plan to remove the head band part and install it onto the rift. I have researched the PS4 and the headband comes off easily. May have to cluge attaching it to the rift. :fear: regards.

I have both a PS4 VR an and Oculus Rift headset. I don't use the PS4 VR headset for DCS:(. I can wear the PS4 headset all day without noticing any discomfort. With the Rift, I start to get discomfort in about 30 minutes. I have adjusted the headset to no end. I have purchased VR Cover replacement facial interface and padding. The facial interface is too narrow and stiff for me. I put the VR Cover padding on the original facial interface, nice but that too gets uncomfortable after a while. The PS4 VR headset is comfortable because it has better headband setup. The weight of the optics in hangs in front of you with some very flexible rubber type curtain to block light. The Optics housing part of the head set never really touches your face. So with all of that has anyone hacked their Rift Headset to make it more comfortable? How can I get the Rift off of my face? I wish Oculus would come up with a better headband design, or find a third party to make a modification to the Rift.. Any suggestions? Thanks for listening.:thumbup:

I have tried to move the headset around and that has helped some but it seems to slide back to its original position and back out of focus. So I have ordered some vrcover facial interfaces not only as a replacements for my worn out foam interfaces but hopefully to help with this problem.. I have seen some Rift facial interfaces on Thingverse. I may try to 3d print a thicker interface if nothing else works...thanks guys.

Sorry I did not read that you are using stream... Create a .bat file > DCS_VR_OFF.bat paste this into it... "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe" --force_disable_VR Create another .bat file > DCS_VR_ON.bat paste this into it....." C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS.exe" --force_VR If your DCS is in a different directory make the appropriate changes. Right click on the .bat file and open. I have open VR checked in the DCS settings. Good Luck

I noticed that if I pull my VR Oculus Rift headset off of my face about one inch the view gets very sharp. I use +3 diopter reading glasses(not while using the Rift) my IPD on the Rift is set to 70 and in DCS I have the IPD set to 70 also. So is there a way in software to duplicate the headset focal length? Or is there a way to do this with the physical Rift headset. Thanks for your suggestions. :thumbup:

Ok the problem still exists. Sometimes it starts OK, others it starts showing the map and I can't get out of it..F1 does not work. F2, etc does:cry: Thanks:) EDIT I think I had a problem logging into DCS. I should read the message windows better. I think I solved the problem ....So please disregard...

no. It maybe that the delay setting have something to do with it..but not sure. I have tried setting the key press down to delay 0.00 and the key press up as delay 0.2, and I have left the delay unaltered with the same results. I will play around with this again. thanks

Hi, I am trying to program my X-55 HOTAS. I can get most things to work but I am having some problems with special type keys like "Left Windows".Using the OEM Rhino software I can input the desired keystrokes, but the key are not replayed when I use that button, either in their debug window or DCS. So am I using the correct software? Or what is the best way to go about setting up my X-55 Hotas with DCS..:( thanks

Thanks, I am not creating my own mission I am using the quick missions.. I will do as you suggested next time This occurs. Since I think this has something to do with the HOSTAS profiles, I loaded the X-55 default profile and ran the quick missions..all went well. Next I loaded my own created profile, and it went well also..So what changed? I think this started when I loaded a profile that was used with TrackIR..Are there any commands in a HOSTAS profile for a TrackIR? Could this be it? I don't use TrackIR. Thanks

How can I stop DCS modules from starting in Theater Map and I can't get to cockpit view (F1). I have been experimenting with HOSTAS profiles ,but sometime my A-10C and P-51D modules start in Theater map and I can get to cockpit view(F1). Some profiles may have had some TrackIR stuff in them. I have reset all profiles back to default and no joy. I have checked the controls and keyboard F1 Is defined as cockpit view...Perplexexd:cry: any advice?

Yes, that is what I am doing. Miss more than I hit... I seem to be having a problem locking on with the AGM-65..I slew over the targets and let go of the slew but it is hard to get a lock..any suggestions? thanks

I am setting up a Rhino x-55 with joystick and throttle. With all the help I am almost getting it together..My brain is starting to hurt trying to remember all of these switches, and finding them while in VR. :joystick::joystick: -regards all

Starting to get settled in using my new Rift..BUT :joystick: I like you can throw switches, etc with the touch controller but how do you manage the controllers,the throttle and the joystick. I take them off and put them on. Sometimes I manage to drop them...what a PIA..:huh:. I am just wondering how others are managing all of these input devices?

However I am looking for a function list of the various HOTAS switches, Like TMS forward long does "x", DMS left does "y", etc,etc. I would assume that it is out there but there is a ton of posts to go thru...Can anyone point me in the correct direction... sorry for the noobie question. :( Thanks so much.

I tried the touch controllers. I am not sure I know how they worK is DCS. Any documentation on that?
