  1. great idea. i am going to try this thanks
  2. what ram disk software ?
  3. why? you can get in cheap now and recoup 50% of your purchase price later selling on ebay. a rift now is a slam dunk win-win.
  4. Steam vs Stand Alone questions agreed. steam does not cause performance problems. if it did, you would have literally, millions of players affected.
  5. you can always buy the current model and ebay it when the new model comes out. i’ve done that before. you lose a bit, but averaged over 12 months of playing time it’s only like 60 cents a day. less than a cup of coffee. well worth it.
  6. that’s because the same “job” is being context’d switched over to the next free random core. but none of the cores are being fully utilized. most likely, someone could turn off 2 of those cores, leaving you with 4 and you wouldn’t even notice the difference.
  7. i have this issue too. i am unable to load saved button assignments from diff.lua files.
  8. i have the latest version of DCS World from licensed from Steam if i select my TM Hotas X controller, add a button mapping, then save it with the "save profile" command, it saves a diff.lua file. if i then go back into the control dialog, select the TH Hotas X column, CLEAR it, followed by a "load profile" command and reload the same diff.lua i saved previously, the button mapping is gone. it is not reloaded. am i doing this correctly? what is the procedure for saving your profile mappings (a backup for example), then loading them back in later?
