  1. Steam Users can fly the F/A-18C with players who use DCS World Standalone as long as the versions are the same
  2. The Digital MFD Number pad you are seeing is from the F/A-18E or F Model the DCS module is the F/A-18C.
  3. As stated on the ED Shop DCS F/A-18C is not compatible with steam under the price and bonus is states " STEAM Incompatible" This means that your key will not work with STEAM. Personally I would rather have DCS World Standalone because you have a chance of getting Updates and modules first before the steam edition. Any reason for wanting to go with STEAM edition over standalone? Hope this help
  4. Anyone who owns the Logitech/Saitek Rudder Pedals please give me some feedback. How do you guys keep them in place?
  5. The reason you don't have the F-18C currently is because your DCS World is probably the DCS World 2.5 Stable instead of open beta. If you look on the forums here there are instructions how to switch to Open Beta they are Skatezilla tips and tricks. This will let you download the F-18C since its only available in Open Beta Right now.
  6. What does it exactly do? What do you guy recommend setting this option to? Currently Running a Intel Core i7 8700K and GTX 1080 on a 1080P Monitor
  7. Thanks Skate for the Clarification
  8. I saw some of the pictures by Blaze in the picture thread above they removed the pylons. How are they doing this?
  9. Cichlidfan is right even though DCS is only a 2 threaded application you might be running other things in the background which a i7 would help. Saving up the extra cash for the i7 would not only help now with DCS and background task but also down the road with other games you might play. When I purchased and build my first Pc I had a i5 2500K when I upgraded down the road to a i7 I never turned back....Right now im running a i7 8700K and GTX1080
  10. How long does it usually take for planes and terrains to get from Open beta to stable? Do you have to wait till the product is fully finished or its usually when they are finished making sure there is not huge bugs?
  11. Thank you for the quick answer wasn't sure how it all worked. Don't mind the wait at all.
  12. Quick question, With DCS F/A-18C release on Steam with the Persian Gulf Map does this mean it will be coming to DCS 2.5 Stable or is this a whole different thing? Not sure if steam has Open Beta version of DCS World.
  13. Congratulation to the VAT "Berkuts" on 10 years of airshow flying looking forward to many more years of you guys performing at airshows. Keep up the good work! KyrThraad
  14. Windows 10 should have a feature like all windows to take a snapshot/recovery image that you can use to bring back to a certain state. Say you install all your drivers and everything you create a recovery image. Then when you want to format just use that recovery image and you wont have to install all those drivers again and so on.
  15. Since now most people use a SSD or M.2 drive for the OS and Windows 10 users have there operating system on a USB Flash drive formatting is way quicker. But remember eventually you will end up at the same point down the road. Better to just Defrag (Only if you have a HDD), Trim and clean up your windows before you decide to format and reinstall. If you are having problems fresh installs don't always work and fix the problem and if they do it can be temporary. Also if a fresh install fixed a issue then you could have avoided the issue by searching possible fixes or asking around.
  16. Even if the Ram kit you have is identical in timing and speed all the way down to the part# you still run a chance that the memory chips that are on the physical ram itself could be different which could cause a problem. You might be lucky to get it to work without issue but it is not always guaranteed to work. Personally I don't have any knowledge on how it might be possible to tell if the newer ram might have newer memory chips. I know there are revision # on corsair ram which might be able to tell you if there is a update to the ram itself. But a question like that would be better answered by the ram manufacture themselves. Hope this helps. Its all up in the air some times you get lucky like I said above and everything works great. But sometimes it might not work great.
  17. I don't know if it is just me but this EA Launch Trailer gives me massive goosebumps. Great job on the EA Launch Trailer and can't wait for the release of the F/A-18C Hornet.
