Quick little question off the topic but on topic with DCS World.... Does DCS World 2.5 have to be run as administrator and if I dont run it as administrator will I run into problems?

Where can I purchase a pretty decent size Enclosure that is made of plastic? I seem to only find small ones everywhere.

Hey, Never really looked in the Mod Section but I must say after the recent update can we all agree that this aircraft that these guys are creating looks 3rd Party quality buy the visuals?

Wags thanks for the update I am really hoping this week the you guys will push out OB 2.5.2 to Release version since that fixes my Stable Version Mission Editor problem. I submitted a ticket with all the necessary info to support and told them about the issue in the Stable Release that seems to be solved in the Open beta release. Even if its not the Hornet and the PG map at least all the other fixes. Again thanks for such great work and communication with the community.

The only problem I am having is with these Tankers causing a black screen when exiting into mission editor( On Stable Release) but it is gone on the Open Beta version hoping they push out the OB to stable soon to fix it. I don't really like testing things or what tons of headaches if they do come. I have no problem getting into the game but only exiting to mission editor. I am currently creating the back drop of all our squadrons F-18C missions

Is it Safe to Defrag my Hard Disk Drives and Optimize my SSD? Even the DCS World dedicated SSD? I know HDD can only be defragmented while ssd can not but just wondering if I can use the windows tool to Defragment and optimize drives on all my drives including my DCS World Dedicated SSD Thanks in advance

Hey, when did US Carriers allow Russian aircraft aboard. Joking Aside. Since this is part of the Open Beta Build maybe you guys should post this problem in the DCS World 2.5 OB forums probably get quicker attention and possible help showing possible problems that might arise. Thanks hope your problem is fixed soon.

The only thing with the OB is that when new stuff comes out we can all watch the community move to the Open beta then come back again. I have a problem with the tankers in release that has been reported to ED and noticed that in OB it seems fixed. Silly I will just wait and see.

So you guys say just run the Open Beta and be happy with the New releases. Of course there will be bugs but its mostly stable. Just worried and dont want to run both.

I agree it also seems most of the people that are online use the Open Beta.... Guess with Flight Simulators its always a open beta.

Ill probably stay with Open Beta myself seems to have fixed my crash problems so far. Just installing all my other stuff. Reason being with all the new fixes and added features.

Did you try and do a Clean & Repair?

Update 1: Seems to happen only with Tankers S-3B Tanker, KC-135 and KC-130 Even after completing what BigNewy Asked me to do and also doing a fresh install Update 2: Installed DCS World 2.5 Open Beta with Just the Harrier and Mirage after 50 times of exiting out of the game to the Mission Editor there seems to be no problems of a black screen. While running the beta I used both the Mirage and Harrier as the player aircraft and had the AI aircraft control the KC-135,KC-130 and S-3B Tanker with no black screen after 50 exits Update 3: Will be installing all modules and terrains I have purchased already and testing to see what happens. Stay tuned

Do you guys expect to stay on DCS World Open Beta for the long run or Go to stable?

Currently I am doing a quick flight with a M2000C and a KC130 that I made in mission editor when I fly for say 5 mins and want to change stuff in the mission editor I get a black screen when I exit the flight I was in to get back to editor. Tried DCS World clean and repair Log listed below Please Help this is upsetting Able to reproduce even after Deleting DCS world in saved games

Can you share a screen shot of your Graphic settings? Looking what others use for settings to base mine off of. Currently have i7 8700K 16GB of Ram GTX 1080

No mods at all. Drivers are up to date tried the repair tool seems fine right now. Looks like it had to do with the Sound files maybe. Will keep posted. Thank you for quick reply Also really sorry I had to PM you to direct your attention just wanted to make sure im happy with DCS

Having some problems with F-5E Freezing during a Mission Editor Free Flight. Logs have been included below. When the freeze happens I still hear sound but no movement. Have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

@Wags Any news on when We can expect the Stable Release of the Hornet? Even if its a rough ballpark.

I really excited for the hornet can't wait till its pushed to stable.

When a new version of this GUI tool comes out do I got to redownload it from this forum page or will tool auto update? Also do I have to put this tool in the DCS World Directory? Another question is this a install or just a exe with quick uninstall by just deleting?

This will be added down the road they said. They need to calculate the drag and stuff without the pylons and other things. They stated in the FAQ they will have it. There is things to be fixed before the work on next feature set and they also have to fix major bugs so they can push it to DCS World 2.5 Stable. But like I said it will come hopefully soon.
