I agree...I'm now around 250-300kb/s downloading, eta is 3 hours...However my upload has been over 3.0 MB/s steady for sometime, currently at 3.4...I've upped over 6.6 gigs...I dont know how people can complain its slow - unless of course their connection is slow...Perfect timing, I'll have it as soon as I get home from work!! :D
-
Can anyone point me in the right direction of the airports? Also is the manual on DCS' website now the "official" manual since A-10C is official?
-
I have no idea how you can say the torrent is stupid slow...I'm currently upping at 2.8MB/s, and downloading at around 200 kb/s...current eta is ~7 hours.
-
Awesome!!! Just downloaded the torrent - 35Mb up/down link just waiting to be hammered for all you other torrent people! :)
-
Awesome! I've always struggled trying to get PDFs to print correctly, this was perfect!!
-
I'm sure this is probably the wrong forum to put this in but it relates to my DCS:A-10 experience! :) Through another forum I found a TIR5 for sale for a decent price. Just sent the money via paypal and am waiting for it to get here!! I'm hoping Track IR is as good as everyone has said...Now to decide if I keep my 3 monitors via Eyefinity, or go one big one :D

You've probably already noticed, but the training mission "Countermeasures" the desc is for the A2A above it.

Guys, if you can hit the torrent thats the way to go...ton of seeders by now.

Can' Download Any of the Beta 3 Files?
automag928 replied to texaszman's topic in Forum and Site Issues
Texaszman...you have to think, how many others are also pulling down that same file the same time you are? How big a pipe do you think they have? FWIW, Ive got a 50mb up and down! :) Imagine if 100 of us with 50/50 speeds hit that server...I can tell you right now my torrent stats show I've upped almost 82 gigs worth of DCS:A-10, so there is a ton of people downloading that file right this moment. I honestly think its just bad timing, you hit the most wanted file they have at the same moment everyone else did. Give it a week and you would see a huge difference. BTW, How fast did your torrent download? -

FPS Tweak, now can't increase FOV
automag928 replied to automag928's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
After posting this post, I looked at it again...and noticed that CameraViewAngleLimits was replaced with CameraAngleLimits, so I pasted the CameraViewAngleLimits over it, and now it works like a champ! I get my nice wide FOV, plus FPS increases!! I'm lovin it!! -
I installed the FPS Tweak ver 2.0G7 from lockonfiles via Modman, and now I can't widen my FOV like previously. I used to adjust the view.lua with the follow for the A-10 : -- Camera view angle limits {view angle min, view angle max}. CameraViewAngleLimits = {} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {20.0, 170.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {20.0, 120.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {20.0, 190.0} CameraViewAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {20.0, 170.0} Now, the view.lua shows this - -- Camera view angle limits {view angle min, view angle max}. CameraAngleLimits = {} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {160.0, -76.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {160.0, -79.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {109.0, -70.0, 105.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {116.0, -85.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {160.0, -80.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {140.0, -65.0, 90.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {160.0, -72.0, 110.0} CameraAngleLimits[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {160.0, -81.0, 110.0} I tried changing all the settings for the A-10 but can't get the FOV any wider than it is. My FPS is defintely better, so I'd love to be able to do both! Thanks!
-
Defintely does improve, but I still can still get to visual range and see a box before it changes to the actual vehicle.

I checked my graphics.cfg file and here is what it shows... my LOD is 1.5 Could that be causing problems? Camera { current = "High"; Low { near_clip = 4; far_clip = 60000; structures = {30, 2000}; trees = {60000, 3000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {3000, 40000}; mirage = {3000, 10000}; surface = {10000, 50000}; lights = {50, 10000}; lod = 0.7; } Medium { near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4; far_clip = 80000; structures = {40, 5000}; trees = {100000, 8000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {3000, 50000}; mirage = {3000, 15000}; surface = {14000, 80000}; lights = {100, 30000}; lod = 1; } High { near_clip = 0.2; middle_clip = 4; far_clip = 80000; structures = {200, 10000}; trees = {200000, 20000}; dynamic = {300, 20000}; objects = {5000, 80000}; mirage = {5000, 20000}; surface = {20000, 80000}; lights = {200, 80000}; lod = 1.5; } }

Maybe I'm missing some setting somewhere, but I just wanted to make sure. I have done no FPS tweaking, the only thing I have messed with is widening my FOV from the view.lua I've got all my graphics settings as high as they will go, and I'm running a ATI Radeon 5850. Here's what I'm talking about - This is view from the Maverick - And here is me flying over a tank - Any suggestions what I'm screwing up? Thanks!

Flaming cliffs 5040x1050 no labels on right side
automag928 replied to automag928's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
just as a follow up...I noticed when I selected the 5040 x 1050 in the graphics options, it shows 4 monitors next to that. When I chose 3072 x 768 it lists three monitors, and the labels work fine - stinks because native resolution is 1680 x 1050 so it looks like crap. Why would it show 4 monitors in the options instead of 3? -
Hey all - new flaming cliffs user...I am using an ATI Radeon 5850 running eyefinity with 2 x 20" and a 22" at a resolution of 5040 x 1050. 1st issue - the labels for AI only show up on the left hand screen? 2nd issue - I figured how to modify the FOV so I'm not so zoomed into the hud and have a wider view, but now when I look left and right, the view goes way up instead of looking at the wings...I'm sure the answers are in the forums, but everything I'm searching on I can't find these answer.

My only reservation with FRAPS is, lets say I want an external and internal view of a 20 sec segment of flight...how can I record both to use in my movie? Maybe I'm just too big of a video making noob...Is there a walk through out there somewhere?
-
Looks like you've got alot accomplished! I was working on a generic button type profile, but after seeing yours, I think I'm going to stop wasting my time doing my own crappy one! Let us know when you get it all done, I'd love to use it! Thanks!
-
Question for all those making movies out there...Are you converting saved track files to AVIs or just using something like FRAPs to do your recording? I started converting a track but after waiting a few hours, I was only just taking off! And if you are converting tracks to AVI, what settings are you using in regards to codec, screen res etc? Thanks!!

Looks awesome! I can't wait!! Nice job ED!
