  5. Thank you everyone for the amazing feedback <3 i'm gonna update the template towards the weekend, since i found a much better way to extract the panel lines and rivets ( through the alpha channel of the roughmet)
  6. UPDATED 06/04/2020 hey folks, all israeli skins are now updated : - changed tail and the tail number displayed on the side of the intake to a different custom font to match real life font (barak versions) - bort numbers bug is now gone. - implemented elements from official f16 template made by ED, lines and rivets are now the way they should be. - changed metallic maps and added elements that were missing. - changed roughness maps. -added decals across all parts. - made some decals smaller and moved the gun safing pin, epu safing and other various decals to their correct position. - changed colors of the scheme for better representation of the federal standard colors of the IAF scheme ( its a mix between the old and new colors for more visual appeal in dcs light system). - added dirt, grime and grease wear and tear. - changed color of the right cheek station of the tgp to the IAF light grey color. - changed color of the center line station to the IAF light grey color. - changed fuel tanks labels to hebrew and added grime and dirt. - created and added better and high def decals for the fuel tank valves, changed roughness maps. - fuel tanks now have the plane number on the back and fuel tank number on front. ( because it uses the same map for both tanks there will be duplication). - added plane numbers and pylon number for all pylons and rails. - missile rails now have "Netz" or "barak" designation and detail plate for each version. - pylons and rails also painted in lighter grey color, fuel tank pylons now have yellow color for the back part. - pilot now have israeli shoulder ranks. - pilot now have IAF name tags and wings patch. - pilot's patches now have their own custom normal maps. - uploaded another version of the 116 and 101 sqd with different tail numbers, pending approval. specific update to the 115 sqd flying dragons skin : - skins is now correct to the Barak version ( no brown color on the base of the tale). - provided additional skin with a different tail number for all of you multiplayer folks :) - pilot now got a hebrew-arab IAF name patch and israeli ranks in red as in the real squadron. - pilot now got a replica (as closely as i could) of the helmet art for the squadron. - the centerline 300 gal fuel tank is now red as in the real squadron ( normal color version is in the alternate tail number skin, just copy the grey Fuel_Tank_300Gal.dds over the red if you dont like it). - even more badass than before. - Netz version will be reuploaded with updated textures in the next few days. i have tried to represent the israeli IAF scheme as close as possible to reality and i truly hope you'll enjoy these. hello good people, i already posted this at the closed Facebook "Digital Combat Simulator" group but thought it could help people here too. with my IAF skins i have created a working template for skin creators in PSD format ( photoshop 2019). in the template you'll get : *120 decals placed in their respective real life places, all in vector form as smart objects. *rivet and panel lines detail layer as a black and white layer you can put in multiply above your base color layers. *weathering layer. *guide layer with colored plane parts and marks for better identifying the specific part in the model viewer. *color correction layer for the wings template file to fix color matching problem with the main body of the plane caused by the wing's normal map. *an illustrator file with a Numbers pack in vector form for all of the different tail numbers. why i do this ? cause only one livery and no template is meh  and i want to help people do better skins. hope it will help :) and if you do use the template feel free to ask me if i can help you anyway with it. link to the templates : ------------------------- https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cem8by7wxammuk8/AAAdx4dEzypsm_ivOSiBPFu9a?dl=0 Links to the skins : 116 and 101 sqd https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306560/ 115 sqd https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306594/ 110 sqd https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306947/ 117 sqd https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306572/ 144 sqd https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306949/ 105 sqd https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306948/
  7. Hey there, ive uploaded my IAF skins yesterday along with a link to all of my work files, which could be considered as templates. i have recreated 120 decals and placed them on their real place on the jet all in vector form as smart objects in photoshop. added color correction for the wings cause of a funky normal map. also isolated the rivets and panel lines as a black and white layer which you could overlay with a multiply blending mode above the color layer ,weathering layer also included. and clean roughness maps also included. and created guide layers for every part of the jet so people could work better in the model viewer you can find it here : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306560/ have fun and tell me if it helps :) Roman.
  8. after cleaning the default RoughMet textures from decals and correctly assigning them in the lua file description. i noticed that despite the correct clean textures being in the livery folder (in the C:\Users\*User Name*\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\F-16C_50\ ) it still assigns the default textures from the texture folder of the f16 in the main DCS folder. the way to fix this is to overwrite the clean textures over the default ones but this breaks the integrity check for multiplayer. any chance anyone here managed to fix this ? kinda annoying working on a livery for a week just to have the default one show underneath. thanks in advance :)
